The color payoff is great. And the shades are natural-looking, which I like.

It's a vegan lip balm, but the packaging is way too excessive lol

It glides on smoothly and clings to my lips in a supple way. I like it.

To create a product without any animal-derived ingredients and without animal testing is such an impressive feat. As a consumer, I often feel guilty seeing excessive packaging and plastic cases, but using this vegan product makes me feel less of that burden on the planet. I'm aiming for ethical beauty.

While the fragrance is almost unscented and the product is certified vegan in France, the color additives and other ingredients are a bit high. I wish the formula was even more clean.

-Scent: The lip balm has a very vivid color, so I thought the scent would be strong as well. But surprisingly, it's unscented! ㅋㅋ Everyone's preference may be different, but as someone who likes to apply lip balm at home and avoids artificial fragrances, my lips and sense of smell felt comfortable.

-Texture: It has a slightly transparent yet soft and moisturizing texture. The application is smooth, without any clumping or settling into lip lines. Some lip balms can feel sticky, especially in the summer, due to the oil ingredients or formula. But the Essential lip balm, made with plant-based vegan oils, has a moisturizing and hydrating sensation that absorbs into the lips and skin, rather than feeling heavy or cloying. Thanks to this, even as a person with chronically dry lips, I was able to briefly forget about my flaky situation while using it. The balance of moisture and nourishment is just right.

-Color: As you can see, it's a clear, hydrated red. Like a freshly washed apple or cherry. As a warm-toned person, reds can sometimes be tricky for me, but this pure red shade doesn't lean too cool or warm, making it easy to wear daily. A true tone-inclusive lip balm!! With the need to wear masks these days, this color is even prettier on my actual lips, so I keep reaching for it.
