I love that I can double cleanse with this. The size is generous, allowing for multiple uses. The cleansing effectiveness is weak and it doesn't remove sebum as well as I expected. To be honest, it doesn't remove it at all. The product doesn't seem gentle either, as I developed blemishes after using it. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinJun 4, 2023
It removes makeup well. I love the refreshing scent. It's also nice and light! My skin seems to react to it, causing some redness. I guess some ingredients don't agree with me... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 30, 2023
It does remove sebum, but using this led to contact dermatitis and higher medical bills... Check the ingredients before buying. Seems like it doesn't suit my skin. After first use, I developed issues and went to a dermatologist. Once my skin healed and stabilized, I tried it again, only to get dermatitis once more. That's when I realized this product was the culprit. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMay 30, 2023
Although it's still early in my usage, I can say the texture feels light and it emulsifies well. First off, the scent isn't great, and for some reason, my face turns red after use. It doesn't cause tingling or irritation, so I'll need to keep using it to see how it goes. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinDec 20, 2022
The lightweight texture makes it so easy to roll on. I've only used heavy oils before, but even though this one runs a bit, it emulsifies well and feels great. It doesn't irritate even if it gets in your eyes or nose. True to its 'sebum-busting' title, it's effective on whiteheads. After cleansing, my skin feels like porcelain. While it doesn't remove lip products completely, it's not a big issue since I'll be doing a second cleanse anyway. Even after the second cleanse, my skin feels refreshed without any dryness. The intense fragrance was a turn-off for me. I developed some blemishes on my cheeks while using it. I'll have to use it lightly, just on my nose area for removing whiteheads. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 18, 2022
I was worried after reading reviews saying waterproof makeup doesn't come off, but this removes it well. The first photo shows me wearing Kiss Me mascara, Merje eyeliner, glitter, and eyeshadow - using just oil, it all came off perfectly, even my foundation. Sebum-free? Not quite... Unfortunately, as someone with very oily skin, I didn't notice much difference even with continued use. It had no effect on blackheads whatsoever. On the fifth day of use, I started breaking out on my cheeks and had to stop using it. Those with sensitive skin should be cautious. However, on days when my nose was particularly oily, applying it there did help dissolve surface oils, so it had some effect. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJul 25, 2022
☑️ Skin type: Combination dehydrated skin with excess oil ☑️ Skin concerns: Blemishes, redness, pores In summer, I tend to get small white blemishes, and usually I have redness and visible pores in the T-zone. I have combination dehydrated skin! Given that this product is supposed to control sebum, it doesn't seem to work well for me. If there's any positive, it's the fragrance-free formula and the texture! Why does my face sting so much? Even when I first used it, my face was very irritated. I thought maybe I was just having an off day, but the stinging persists. After application, my skin feels itchy, and it doesn't seem to agree with me. Later, I developed what looked like an allergic reaction with redness, so I had to stop using it. While I generally don't have good experiences with vegan cosmetics, this is the first time I've had such an allergic reaction. I would recommend this to those who typically have good experiences with vegan cosmetics! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJul 20, 2022
When I applied the cleansing oil and rolled it on my skin, I could feel the sebum and impurities being drawn out! Compared to just using a cleansing foam, using this oil made me feel like my skin was getting a much deeper clean. Perhaps because I have super sensitive skin, if I rolled it for too long, I noticed blemishes appearing the next day. The scent is like natural wood, which was a bit distracting at first. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJul 20, 2022
I switched to double cleansing with cleansing water and foam because I disliked the greasy feeling. However, with constant mask-wearing, I noticed more whiteheads and seemingly enlarged pores. While considering cleansing oils, I tried this product from The Hwahae Testers. The best thing about my first use was the absence of that typical oil smell. Previous cleansing oils had a petroleum-like scent that was sometimes off-putting, making me question if it was safe for my face. I was pleased this wasn't an issue here. For an oil, it feels light and refreshing rather than heavy, reducing that greasy sensation and making the rolling process easier and more comfortable. I've found that massaging my face with the oil has become a small but enjoyable part of my daily self-care routine. With each wash, I'm consistently noticing how much better the oil is for tackling whiteheads. Although I've only used it a few times since receiving it from The Hwahae Testers, I feel like my pores, while not dramatically different, seem more refined than before. I'm definitely sticking with cleansing oils from now on. The day after using it, I noticed a small blemish on my forehead. While I'm not certain it was caused by the product, I wondered if some oil residue remained. As a precaution, I'm now more thorough in removing it completely. I've continued using the product, and no other blemishes have appeared since that one incident. My cleansing routine consists of lip and eye makeup remover, followed by this cleansing oil, and then a cleansing foam. To prevent my skin from drying out after cleansing, I immediately apply essence and a hydrating moisturizer. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 18, 2022
Lightweight and rolls on smoothly. Does a decent job of removing makeup. Despite being an oil, it has a watery consistency which might be hit or miss for some. I made the mistake of rubbing it too long trying to remove blackheads, and ended up with a breakout of inflamed acne on my nose.
