It helps remove dead skin cells from the scalp, which can be challenging with regular shampoo. Perhaps because it's a cooling product, it feels refreshing after use. Surprisingly, even a small amount produces rich lather, making it a decent shampoo alternative!
ConsI accidentally got some on a wound on my body while showering, and it stung quite a bit. Those with sensitive or wounded scalps should be extra careful. Also, be cautious when opening the cap as the product tends to drip out easily.
TipThe exfoliating particles are quite large, so be careful not to rub too hard on your scalp!

It's great for removing dead skin cells from the scalp. I loved how after shampooing, you can spray it on your scalp and massage - the salt granules turn into a foam. It lathers up nicely too. I'd recommend it for scalp care as it's non-irritating. The cooling sensation doesn't come immediately, but you feel it later when rinsing off after the scalp massage. (I usually rinse with lukewarm water) If you have a lot of heat on your scalp, I'd suggest the Klorane scalp mask. For exfoliation though, I preferred the Dalip one.
ConsIf it drips onto your face, it's basically salt water. You need to be careful not to let it get into your eyes or on your face. On the plus side, it's good value for money.

Despite my young age, I've been struggling with the triple threat of blemishes, oily skin, and hair loss. Come summer, my seborrheic dermatitis gets so bad that I've had to visit a dermatologist for steroid treatments. That's how severe my oily skin and blemishes are. But since I started using this scalp scaler with my shampoo, I can really feel a reduction in oil production! To be honest, I'm not sure about its effectiveness for hair loss - I think it's difficult for any shampoo or scalp treatment to noticeably improve hair loss. But I'm satisfied just with the reduction in oiliness! I love the cooling sensation so much that I sometimes even scrub it vigorously on my trouble spots (don't try this at home!). The fact that it doesn't worsen my condition suggests that despite being a granular scaler, it's quite gentle on the skin.
ConsIt does produce a fair amount of lather, which can run down to your forehead during use. If this happens, the area around your eyes might feel a bit tingly - but it's not too bad. The instructions say you can use it as a shampoo substitute, but unless you have dry hair, I'd recommend using a separate shampoo as well. (I mean, if you're buying this kind of product, you probably have oily hair, right?) While the nozzle is somewhat pointed, it's still not quite enough to squeeze the product deep into the scalp. You'll need to develop a technique to apply it well with your hands.
TipI recommend purchasing a separate scalp massage brush to use with this product.

As someone with an oily scalp prone to buildup, I'm pleased that it doesn't leave any residue.
ConsThe product gushes out when you open the cap, making it somewhat challenging to control the amount you use.
TipI read reviews mentioning leftover granules falling out when drying hair, but I haven't experienced this. I make sure to rinse thoroughly and follow up with another shampoo, which seems to prevent that issue.

The salt granules provide a nice texture, and the scent is pleasantly mild. Most importantly, I'm satisfied with its scaling effectiveness!
ConsThere's not really anything to complain about. The only minor issue is that it might drip a bit if you don't open it with the nozzle facing upwards.
TipSince it's a scaling product, I think it would work great if used in combination with a nourishing mask!

ConsThe salt can sting sensitive areas (it really burns if it gets in your eyes). It doesn't seem suitable as a shampoo replacement.
TipWhile it's suggested to use this before shampooing or as a shampoo substitute, it's not effective in those ways. For the best results, use it after shampooing.
