Can you see the moisture in the photo? As someone with dry skin, this product was a real game-changer for me. It applies smoothly and evenly, without any special technique needed. There's no pilling or patchiness, making it super easy to use. I was pleasantly surprised by how it seemed to fill in my skin texture, leaving my complexion looking more refined.
ConsI experienced some eye irritation. This may vary from person to person, but after applying it and going out, my eyes stung all day and I had occasional tearing.
TipGiven its hydrating nature, some might find this product a bit rich! Personally, I don't wear base makeup in summer, so I apply sunscreen, let it absorb evenly, then lightly dust on some powder. Even with the powder, the hydrating properties of this product prevented any feeling of dryness. If you've experienced eye irritation with sunscreens before, be careful around the eye area or avoid it altogether when applying this product!

It's an ideal formula to apply before makeup!
ConsAs someone with sensitive skin, it caused severe eye irritation and led to blemishes for me. While it's a vegan sunscreen, I felt the ingredients were too intense for my skin type. I'd recommend this for those with more resilient skin.
TipThis sunscreen has a moisturizing formula that lives up to its "water-full essence" name. It's great to use as a base before applying makeup. However, those with sensitive skin should be cautious. I experienced significant eye irritation and breakouts. Despite being a vegan product, the ingredients seemed too strong for my skin type. This might be better suited for people with tougher, less reactive skin.

The 'D'Alba Waterful Essence Sunscreen' truly lives up to its name with its incredibly hydrating and moisture-rich formula. Applying it feels just like smoothing on an essence, seamlessly absorbing into your skin as the final step of your skincare routine. It's perfect for daily use as it doesn't pill and allows for immediate makeup application. What's more, it leaves no white cast and imparts a natural glow, making it fantastic for combating deep dryness! Despite being a chemical sunscreen, even I, with my super sensitive skin, have been using it without any blemishes. It's wonderfully lightweight and breathable, even in the summer heat! The fragrance is subtle and pleasant, not irritating at all, which puts me in a great mood. With its SPF50+/PA++++ rating, you can trust its sun protection. So if you're after a truly hydrating sunscreen, you absolutely must give this one a try!
Cons- It might be a bit rich for those with oily skin, potentially causing some shine. - There's a chance of slight eye irritation if applied too close to the eyes. - If you prefer the matte finish typical of mineral sunscreens, you might find this one a bit too dewy.

It's wonderfully hydrating and I love it!
ConsIt feels like it goes on too thinly, so I'm not sure if it's providing effective sun protection. It also stings my eyes...
TipThe product seems to have a lightweight, moisturizing formula that absorbs well into the skin, giving it an essence-like quality. However, this same quality raises concerns about its effectiveness as a sunscreen. The eye irritation reported is a significant drawback that potential buyers should be aware of.

I'm someone whose skin goes haywire if I apply sunscreen incorrectly. This sunscreen didn't cause my skin to freak out when I applied it.
ConsIt stung my eyes terribly. I applied it on a bright morning and could barely keep my eyes open. This is not an exaggeration... When I checked the ingredients, I found it contains all the eye-irritating components. Octinoxate, homosalate... Those who often experience eye irritation should take note.
TipAs someone with super sensitive skin, I was pleasantly surprised that this sunscreen didn't cause immediate irritation. However, the eye irritation is a significant drawback. The formula seems to work hard at protecting the skin without causing blemishes or redness, which is great for combination dehydrated skin types. But the burning sensation around the eyes is a real concern. If you're prone to eye sensitivity, you might want to consider other options that absorb well without the tingling effect. Always patch test new products, especially if you have allergic reactions to cosmetics.

It's great for blocking blue light and is easy to cleanse off. Pros, Texture, Application, and Finish: The texture is like a hybrid between a water essence and a cream. When applying a larger amount at once, it feels quite fluid, but when applied in two smaller layers, it seems to become a bit more elastic. However, it's not heavy and provides a noticeable hydration. Even as time passes, there's no dryness, giving a 'matte but moisturized' feel. The biggest advantage is that it doesn't interfere with makeup! This is one of the main concerns when applying sunscreen. Also, though it might be just my imagination, it seems to give a slightly brighter overall complexion, though not quite a tone-up effect. Scent: The fragrance is subtle and not bothersome at all.
ConsWhile I don't always experience eye irritation, some days it does occur, especially if I apply more around the eye area. It's not severe enough to make the product unusable, just a bit bothersome. If this issue could be resolved, it would become my holy grail product. I really love Dalba products, so I'm wondering if there's any way to fix this?
TipRather than applying a large amount at once, it's better to apply in two separate layers. This ensures even application, better protection, and prevents makeup from pilling. For those with very dry skin, you can also apply a hydrating stick to dry areas in between applications.

I didn't have a go-to sunscreen until I discovered this product on YouTube. I was eager to try it, and I'm glad I got the chance! The texture is incredibly hydrating and feels packed with moisture. It applies smoothly and has no white cast, reminiscent of a hydrating emulsion. I used to be concerned about applying a generous amount of sunscreen, knowing it's necessary for effectiveness. However, the d'Alba Waterful Sunscreen absorbs well even when applied liberally. When I use it before makeup, I adjust the amount, and it doesn't cause any pilling. I love how it keeps my skin hydrated without feeling heavy on my face.
ConsAfter some time, I notice a slight dryness, and there's a bit of eye irritation, unfortunately.

First off, this product applies incredibly smoothly and feels hydrating! It suited my dry skin well, and after application, there's a lovely Inner Glow. Lately, I've been going foundation-free, just using a brightening moisturizer, this sunscreen, and a touch of powder on my T-zone. I'm sure it would pair wonderfully with cushion foundations too. After using it for about a week, thankfully I didn't experience any blemishes! Lastly, it has a citrusy lemon scent. I absolutely loved it, but it might be a bit divisive.
ConsEverything's great except for one thing - it stings my eyes a bit. I'm extremely sensitive to eye irritation, and I felt it with this product too. It was fine at first, but as I went about my day outside, I started to notice it. I think it might be due to the hot weather lately. It would probably be great to use in the cold winter when you're not sweating. If you're sensitive to eye irritation, I'd recommend trying it in autumn or winter!

No white cast 2. Incredibly moisturizing, giving your face a refined glow 3. Makeup applies well, adhering smoothly without sliding off 4. Gentle on sensitive skin - didn't cause any blemishes I loved this product so much that I bought the brightening moisturizer version too!
Cons1. About 6-8 hours after applying sunscreen, when makeup starts to break down, I feel a slight stinging in my eyes. Maybe it's unavoidable with organic filters after some time? 2. There's no brightening effect at all, so it might be good to mix it with a brightening base or brightening sunscreen.

Surprisingly, I didn't experience any blemishes or redness when using it. Unlike irritating sunscreens that can cause burning or tingling sensations, this one was comfortable to apply without any such issues. It's easy to use without any fuss. The texture feels like a thin emulsion. It spreads smoothly and evenly, without clumping or feeling stiff - similar to applying a hydrating moisturizer or emulsion. While it can leave white marks if applied incorrectly, it's actually a sunscreen that spreads like an emulsion without leaving a white cast when applied properly. It doesn't leave a sticky residue and applies smoothly, making it great for use on arms too. It feels hydrating without any pilling. However, because it's moisturizing rather than matte, it gives quite a glow and some oiliness develops later. This could be seen as both a pro and a con.
ConsIt tends to get a bit oily over time. It might be better suited for those with dry skin or for use in winter for a more moisturizing effect. While it didn't bother me much, if not careful, it could potentially look like excess sebum. There's a slight eye irritation, though not severe. As I applied it on my eyelids too, I experienced a bit of stinging and my eyes felt slightly heavy. Besides these, I don't have any other complaints, so I think it's a sunscreen with many advantages.
TipFor those who dislike the oily feeling or find it looks too greasy, try this: after applying and allowing it to absorb, gently blot with oil-absorbing sheets. This will give your skin a cleaner, more polished appearance.
