The Hwahae product really lifts the tone beautifully. I am one of those who absolutely despise the opaque and hazy white cast typical of mineral-mixed sunscreens. However, while I've seen many sunscreen products with white cast, I've never come across a brightening product that looks as lovely and seamless as this one. This is not the usual hazy white cast, but rather lifts the tone almost 90% similar to a tone-up cream. I deducted 10% because, being a sunscreen, there is a slight difference in thickness compared to a tone-up cream. The difference is barely noticeable when used alone, but becomes slightly perceptible when layered under foundation. So I apply a light layer of concealer and then a thin layer of foundation, and it creates such a beautiful, natural-looking complexion. The finish is somewhere between semi-matte and matte. It doesn't seem to have much oil content, but it's not a powder-based product either. It applies smoothly without emphasizing any texture, pores or wrinkles, and has great adherence. What's amazing is that it achieves such a lovely tone-up effect without any color pigments. I think this would be a great product for students. I wish I could just wear this alone without any other makeup, it's that good. And despite my sensitive skin, it was very comfortable to use.

If you apply makeup on top, it seems like you should generously replenish moisture at the basic stage, and applying a dewy foundation on top would look nicer.😊

The sunscreen I chose is a tone-up sunscreen. I find makeup to be a hassle, but sunscreen is essential these days. However, I also wanted a bit of radiance and tone-up, so I discovered this tone-up sunscreen since Cosrx is known for their tone-up creams. The application is not bad, and the tone-up effect looks more natural in person than in photos. When applied all over the face, the tone-up looks natural and not artificial. If other products gave you an ambiguous tone-up effect, I would recommend this one. Oh, and I didn't experience any eye irritation while using this product!
