It is a product that focuses on skin barrier and moisturization, so when used, it cleanses the skin without dryness, leaving it moisturized. It has a dense cream-like texture that applies creamily, and there was no skin irritation.
ConsApparently, the cleansing power is reduced, so I'll need to do a secondary wash.

It's not overly stimulating and is quite mild, making it good for a light cleansing in the morning. There's no particular fragrance that stands out, and as the name suggests, the cream-like lather is soft and gentle. Even with my very dry skin, it doesn't leave my face feeling too tight after cleansing.
ConsThe cleansing power isn't exceptionally strong. If you've used a base makeup or sunscreen, it would be better to double cleanse.

The scent is not too strong and is gentle, which I like! Most cleansing foams leave a tight feeling after washing, but I usually use a gentle cleansing oil. This one, however, doesn't leave any tightness after washing and leaves my skin feeling moisturized and comfortable without any irritation. I received this as a gift and used it, and it turned out to be better than I expected, so I'm leaving a review. I also use the Real Barrier Extreme Cream, and this cleansing foam is quite nice as well!
ConsIf you prefer a rich, bubbly cleansing experience, this might fall short. Even for me, it feels a bit lacking in cleansing power for my evening routine. However, since I have sensitive skin, the non-irritating, moisturizing feel and mild scent are satisfactory enough for me to consider purchasing.
TipI've been using cleansing oils, but now that I've tried this cleansing foam in the morning, it's convenient and nice. It's sufficient for my morning cleansing routine! In the evening, I use the cleansing oil to clean thoroughly, and if I feel like I need something more thorough, I use this as a second cleanse, and it works perfectly.

ConsIt's not the type that lathers up a lot, so it may be divisive.

Of course, my skin is sensitive to everything, but ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ I have especially sensitive skin when it comes to cleansing products, and even products known to be gentle can cause me to break out in terrible acne. But I happened to try this one, and it's really mild and gentle, so I've been using it well. The ingredients are good, and while the original price isn't super cheap, it doesn't feel overly expensive considering the amount you get. Plus, they seem to have a lot of discount events, so it's a great deal when you can stock up during those.
ConsIt's really not bad at all! When I found out it had been renewed, I was a little worried, but it's actually become even gentler and more effective🌟
TipUsing it with a cleansing brush can make it even more gentle to use

Of course, it's weaker than alkaline products. - Gentle and suitable for sensitive, dry skin without irritation
ConsI used the product even before the reformulation, and back then, it had a herbal-like scent. But the current product has an aqua-like scent, not fragrance-free. Personally, I find that scent a bit unpleasant.
TipInstead of immediately creating a lather, if you first apply it to damp skin and gently massage, it doesn't produce as much foam as a cleansing cream or milk. But then if you add water and lather it up, the cleansing power becomes more effective.

When I wear a mask, the rate of skin flaking and sebum buildup seems to have increased compared to when I don't wear one. So I've been cleansing more intensely and for longer, which has made my skin more sensitive and dry, with a tight, dehydrated feeling, so I've been paying more attention to moisturizing and treating my skin gently. This product has a really gentle cream-like texture! I was surprised by the formula - it's so soft and smooth, unlike typical lotion-cream textures. I've never tried a product like this before! I was worried it might not cleanse well, but it actually removes makeup and impurities quite effectively. I've noticed that even my mildly acidic foam cleansers have been cleaning better lately. The ingredients seem very well-thought-out. After cleansing, my skin doesn't feel as dry. A lot of products make my face feel tight right after washing, but this one really minimizes moisture loss. It feels like it's forming a protective barrier on my skin. With the weather suddenly getting colder, I've been reaching for this product more instead of the mildly alkaline foam cleansers I used in the summer. I especially highly recommend this for morning cleansing! I have an oily, dehydrated complexion that produces a lot of excess oil in the mornings, so I've been looking for a product that can remove that surface oil while still preserving my skin's internal moisture, and this seems to be the perfect fit.
ConsThe ingredients are good, but the fragrance is a bit disappointing. However, I much prefer these gentle products over heavily fragranced foam cleansers. Hmm, the texture might be surprising at first, but if you squeeze out the product and add a little water, it lathers up nicely without being absorbed into the skin! The foam actually builds up quite well, so you don't need to use too much. Since it's mildly acidic, I'm not sure if it would thoroughly remove mineral sunscreens. I personally always double cleanse, so I was satisfied with it as a second cleanse, but I wouldn't recommend relying on this alone to remove sunscreen in one step.
TipI don't use just one foam cleanser, but rather switch between different products depending on my skin's needs. I highly recommend this as a second cleanse in the evening after using a stronger cleansing oil, or as a gentle morning cleanse for dehydrated skin. However, I don't think it would be enough to fully remove sunscreen and makeup on its own. Since it's a mildly acidic product, it doesn't have the same squeaky-clean feel as more alkaline cleansers. The sudden drop in temperature has left my combination skin feeling a bit dry, but on the days I use this, the dryness is noticeably reduced. If you use this together with a gentle exfoliating gel once a week, I think it could really help sensitive skin recover quickly. I'd highly recommend this for dry skin types - it's definitely worth trying out.

Sensitive. Prone to heat sensation. Occasional breakouts. Recently experienced folliculitis, and have some acne scarring, so I use cleansing water followed by a foam or milk cleanser. ▪️Texture: I liked the dense, creamy lather that this product produced. It had a subtle soap-like fragrance without being overpowering. Compared to the typical alkaline foams, this one didn't produce an excessive amount of bubbles, which I preferred. However, if you're looking for a really voluminous lather, this may not be the best fit. ▪️Cleansing Power: Since I mainly use this as a second cleanse, I didn't find it overly drying. It was able to cleanse gently without stripping my skin. The residual moisture after use was also appreciated. I wouldn't recommend using this to remove makeup directly, but for standalone cleansing, you may need to use it a few times. ▪️Breakouts: I didn't experience any breakouts or irritation from using this product. In fact, it seemed to have a calming effect on my skin. While the foam itself may not be the sole reason, the pH-balancing properties likely helped soothe my sensitive complexion. Unlike some other products, I haven't had any negative reactions with this one. ▪️Overall Impression: This seems like a great, consistent option for those with sensitive skin who are looking to maintain skin health. I'm generally satisfied with the results and plan to continue using it, though I'm not sure how well it would work as a sole makeup remover.
ConsThe price point is a bit on the higher side, which makes me hesitate a bit when purchasing. It would be great if they offered a larger size option. I'll probably try to time my purchases during sales or discounts.
TipI think it's best to use this cleanser after a water-based or milk product. It seems like a good option for standalone cleansing on bare skin days.

Advantages: - Creamy and soft texture - It was fine for me to use even with my sensitive skin, without any breakouts - No dry feeling after use - I don't like strongly scented foam cleansers, so I liked that this one is unscented
ConsDisadvantages: - Very little foaming (please refer to the photo of me rubbing it with water) - No squeaky clean feeling after washing - When I used a tone-up sunscreen, there was a slight residue feeling left after cleansing with this foam only
TipIf you have oily skin and want to use this, I think it would be better to use it in the dry winter season. Personally, I would recommend this more for those with dry skin!

The ointment-like fragrance may be divisive, but I personally like it. 📌 Brand image I'm aware that this brand is known for its barrier creams, and I've used them before. 📌 Gentle The cream didn't feel particularly gentle, but this one feels very gentle. It doesn't produce much lather and feels soft, which may be why. The cream has a soothing cream-like texture and is fragrance-free, which is nice. 😃 Looking at the Hwahae ingredient list, there are good ingredients for dry skin. However, there are 4 potentially irritating ingredients for sensitive skin, which is concerning. These seem to be extracts. But when using it, it feels soft and gentle. After my skin was in turmoil and I had to see a dermatologist, I couldn't use just any product, but I ended up liking this one despite trying it out of necessity due to the Hwahae reviews. Since it's so gentle, many reviews say it's not suitable for makeup cleansing. I only use it in the morning and find it works great for morning cleansing. They say it doesn't lather much, but I really like that for my morning cleanse. The fragrance-free aspect is also great, and it rinses off cleanly without any unnecessary particles. Don't use it for makeup cleansing, as it doesn't provide that deep, squeaky-clean feeling.
ConsDownsides: I don't have any major downsides yet. I'll update if I find any while using it. 😅 It doesn't seem to have any particular functionality, which is a bit disappointing. Foam cleansers usually have some distinguishing features, like pore-clearing or hydrating properties, but this one is quite basic. However, since the RealBarrier brand is known for its barrier creams, using this as the first step in skin care to strengthen the skin barrier seems meaningful to me.
Tip👍Tip: Use as much water as possible to create a lather when using it. It doesn't lather up easily. In the morning, use a small amount and thoroughly wet it with water to create a soft, light lather for cleansing.
