Focused on maintaining the skin barrier and hydration, it leaves your face feeling moisturized without any dryness after cleansing. The rich, creamy texture applies smoothly without causing any irritation.
ConsHowever, its cleansing effectiveness is somewhat lacking, so you'll need to double cleanse.

It's gentle and mild, perfect for a light morning wash. There's no particular scent, and true to its name, it lathers up creamily and softly. Even with my extremely dry skin, it doesn't leave my face feeling too tight after cleansing.
ConsThe cleansing effectiveness isn't particularly strong. If you've worn base makeup or sunscreen, you might want to consider double cleansing.

I love that the scent isn't overpowering and it's gentle on the skin. Most cleansing foams leave my skin feeling tight after washing, so I usually opt for a mild cleansing oil. However, this one leaves my skin feeling moisturized without any tightness, and I appreciate how it doesn't irritate my skin, leaving it feeling comfortable. I received this as a gratis item and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed using it, which is why I'm leaving this review. I also use the Real Barrier Extreme Cream, and I'm happy to say their cleansing foam is just as good!
ConsIf you prefer a rich lather and that squeaky-clean feeling, you might find this slightly disappointing. For me, it's not quite thorough enough for a standalone evening cleanse. However, as someone with super sensitive skin, I'm satisfied with its gentle, hydrating feel and mild scent, so I'm considering purchasing it.
TipAfter using only cleansing oils, I find this cleansing foam convenient and pleasant for morning use. It's perfect for my morning cleansing routine! For evenings, I thoroughly cleanse with an oil cleanser, and when I want a deeper clean, I follow up with this as a second step - it works perfectly!

ConsIt's not the type that gives you that squeaky-clean feeling, so it might be a hit or miss for some people

Of course, my skin is sensitive to everything, but it's especially sensitive to cleansing products. Even products known for being gentle can cause breakouts if they don't suit me. However, I happened to try this one, and it's truly gentle and soft, so I'm using it well. The ingredients are good, and while the regular price isn't super cheap, I don't think it's too expensive for the amount you get. They seem to have a lot of discount events too. It's great to stock up during those times!
ConsThere's really nothing bad to say about it. I was a bit worried when I heard it was renewed, but it actually became even gentler!
TipUsing it with a foam net can make it even gentler on your skin.

It provides a non-greasy, hydrating finish. - Effective cleansing despite low pH Some reviews mention weak cleansing power, but as a second cleanser, I find it sufficiently effective. Naturally, it may not be as strong as alkaline products. - Gentle on sensitive, dry skin Can be used without irritation on sensitive and dry skin types, offering a soothing cleanse.
ConsI used this product before it was reformulated, and I remember it having a herbal scent. However, the current version has an aquatic fragrance that smells artificial despite being fragrance-free. Personally, I find this new scent a bit overwhelming.
TipFor best results, don't immediately lather it up. Start by massaging it onto damp skin like a cleansing milk or cream. After this initial cleanse, add more water to create a foam for a second pass. This method enhances the cleansing effectiveness.

With all the mask-wearing lately, I've noticed my skin accumulating dead skin cells and sebum much faster than usual. As a result, I found myself cleansing more vigorously and for longer periods, which led to my skin becoming super sensitive and feeling deeply dry and tight. Just as I was thinking I needed to focus more on hydration and be gentler with my skin, I came across this product. This cleanser has a texture that's truly as mild as fresh cream! I was honestly surprised by its consistency - it's incredibly soft, almost like a typical emulsion cream. It's unlike anything I've used before! I was initially worried about its cleansing effectiveness, but it actually cleanses quite well. It seems low pH foam cleansers have really improved in their cleansing power these days. The ingredients list shows a lot of thought has gone into the formulation. First off, there's noticeably less dryness after cleansing. Many products make your face feel tight right after washing, but this one really minimizes moisture loss. It feels like it forms a protective barrier on the skin! With the weather suddenly turning cold, I find myself reaching for this product more often than the mildly alkaline foam cleanser I used in summer. I especially recommend this for morning cleansing! As someone with combination dehydrated skin that produces a lot of oil in the morning, I've been looking for a product that maintains inner hydration while removing surface oils, and this seems to be the perfect fit!
ConsWhile the ingredients are great, the scent was a bit disappointing. However, I much prefer these gentle products to foam cleansers loaded with fragrances. When you first use it, you might be surprised by the texture. Squeeze out some foam, wet it slightly with water, and rub it vigorously - it won't absorb into your hands but will create a lather! The foam lathers better than expected, so you don't need to use too much. Being a low pH cleanser, I'm not entirely sure if it can thoroughly remove mineral-based sunscreens. I'm satisfied using it as a second cleanse since I always double cleanse, but I wouldn't recommend relying on this product alone for a complete cleanse.
TipI don't stick to just one foam cleanser, but use different products depending on my skin's condition. I highly recommend this product for morning cleansing for combination dehydrated skin, or as a gentle second cleanse in the evening when your skin barrier feels weakened after using a cleansing oil. It might be a stretch to expect this product alone to remove sunscreen and makeup. Being a low pH product, it's far from giving that squeaky clean feeling you get with alkaline products. With the weather suddenly turning chilly, even my combination dehydrated skin feels a bit dry, but on days when I use this product, the dryness is noticeably less. If you use it once a week along with a gentle peeling gel, it could help sensitive skin recover faster. I strongly recommend those with dry skin to give this a try!

Sensitive. Prone to heat. Occasional blemishes. Recently developed folliculitis, and have slight acne scars, so I use cleansing water followed by foam, or milk cleanser followed by foam. Product texture: I loved the creamy, rich foam. It has a subtle, natural soap scent without any artificial fragrance, which I appreciated. Unlike typical alkaline foams that produce excessive lather, this one creates just the right amount, which I prefer. However, if you're looking for an abundance of foam, this might not be for you. Cleansing effectiveness: As I use this for my second cleanse, I didn't notice any issues. It's gentle enough for regular use, which is a big plus. I also liked the residual hydration after use. I wouldn't recommend it for removing makeup directly, and for a single cleanse, you might need to use it multiple times. Blemishes: I didn't experience any breakouts from this product. In fact, I felt it had a soothing effect on my skin. While it's not solely due to the foam, I think it helps balance the skin's pH, which may calm sensitive skin. Unlike some other products that can cause flare-ups, I haven't had any issues with this one so far. Quick summary: I think this is a great product for consistent use if you have sensitive skin and are concerned about skin health. I'm generally satisfied with the results and plan to continue using it, though I'm not sure about its effectiveness as a standalone cleanser after wearing makeup.
ConsThe price point seems a bit high, which might make some hesitate before purchasing. It would be nice if they offered a larger size option. I think many people might wait for a sale before buying.
TipI think it's best to use this after a water-based or milk cleanser. It's also great for single cleansing on makeup-free days.

Pros: - Soft, cream-like texture - Even with my super sensitive skin, I didn't experience any blemishes - No feeling of dryness after use - As someone who dislikes strongly scented foam cleansers, I appreciated that this one is fragrance-free
ConsCons: - It doesn't lather much... (see photo of product rubbed with water) - Doesn't give that squeaky clean feeling - When I used it to remove brightening moisturizer, cleansing with just the foam left a slight residue!
TipIf you have oily skin and want to try this, it might be best to use it during the dry winter months. Personally, I'd recommend this more for those with dry skin!

After checking the Hwahae ingredient list, I see it contains components good for dry skin However, there are 4 ingredients that might not be ideal for sensitive skin, which is concerning They seem to be extracts? But when using it, it feels soft and gentle After my skin flared up and I had to visit a dermatologist, I couldn't use just any product Considering I had to use this for The Hwahae Testers review, I'm quite pleased with it Many reviews say it's not suitable for makeup removal due to its gentleness So I only use it in the morning Some say it doesn't lather much But for morning cleansing, I find it perfect I love that it's unscented And it's just a cream cleanser without unnecessary beads, so it rinses off well Don't use it for makeup removal as it doesn't give that squeaky clean feeling
ConsDrawbacks: Nothing specific so far I'll update if I notice anything while using it It doesn't seem to have any particular special features, which is a bit disappointing When you think of foam cleansers, you might expect deep cleansing or hydrating properties, but its mildness is both a pro and a con However, since Real Barrier as a brand is famous for their barrier cream It feels special to start the most basic step of skincare - cleansing - with something that seems to strengthen the skin barrier
TipPro tip: Use plenty of water to create a lather, as it doesn't foam up easily For morning use, apply a small amount with lots of water to create the softest, lightest foam possible
