Pros

My lips are always dry and often cracked, so I'm constantly using lip balm. The Chicago lip balm comes in a thin, slender tube-type container, making it lightweight and easy to carry around. The angled tip of the tube makes it easy to apply on the lips. The formula is quite thin, so a small amount spreads easily on the lips, but sometimes it can be difficult to control the amount as it tends to squirt out. Due to the runny formula, it often ends up getting into my mouth, and it has a slightly sour yet sweet taste. I've heard the sweetness comes from the glycerin. The color is a pale green and the product is transparent. The lightweight formula absorbs quickly without feeling greasy or sticky. I've even used it when my lips were cracked and bleeding, and while it stung a bit, it worked well and my lips healed quickly. I'd recommend this to those with sensitive, dry lips.

Cons

Unlike other stick-type lip balms, the moisturizing effect doesn't last very long. Regular lip balms leave a coated feeling on the lips that lasts for a while, but with this product, the formula feeling on the lips disappears quickly, leaving my lips feeling bare again. Also, if I apply it on lips with peeling skin, it ends up exacerbating the flaking.
