It's a solid, reliable product. Great value for money. I've been using it for a long time. There's not really anything to complain about. However, after prolonged use, I noticed the effectiveness has decreased. - rm*****Combination SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 10, 2025
I bought this because I suddenly started getting a lot of dandruff even though I wash my hair daily. After using it, I don't get any dandruff at all! I also used to have quite a bit of earwax, but since using this product, I've noticed it doesn't form as much. It seems to be excellent at removing excess oil. Being a functional product, the scent isn't particularly amazing, but it's not at all unpleasant to use. - bs*****Combination SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 8, 2025
The value for money is insane! Seems perfect for oily scalps... I think I'll use it well Some reviews say it smells like men's toner, which they don't like, but I actually love it lol. The scent is quite nice - gk*******Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsAug 17, 2024
The value for money is truly excellent. I bought it on Coupang during a buy-one-get-one-free deal for just over 10,000 won. It's a shampoo you can use liberally without worrying about the cost! Like a salmon swimming against the current of flowing shampoo, I'll be returning to Daeng Gi Meo Ri. My usual shampoo routine: Apply a small amount for the first wash, then for the second wash, leave it on for about a minute before rinsing. On weekends, I even do a scalp scrub. When I used to use the black bottle of Daeng Gi Meo Ri, this routine alone left my scalp feeling fresh and clean. Of course, being oily-skinned, I can't avoid some greasiness at night, but still... However, with this shampoo, maybe because the formula is thinner? The lather seems to appear briefly on my hair, then completely disappears... Those with oily scalps know the feeling. When your hair is extremely greasy, even one application of shampoo makes the lather disappear. That sensation of not being properly cleansed and your hair feeling sticky. The situation where you absolutely need to shampoo twice to make your hair look presentable. With Clear shampoo, I get that feeling even during the second wash. I've already shampooed once, and now on the second wash, all the lather is gone. When I used Daeng Gi Meo Ri, even the first wash produced abundant lather for the second. I bought this thinking it would be super effective at removing oil since it's marketed as a men's shampoo, but is this really right, Clear? However, by the third wash... it seems okay. The lather lasts longer, my scalp feels refreshed, and I'm not experiencing the hair loss that can happen with improper washing. My perception: Scalp after 2 washes with Daeng Gi Meo Ri = Scalp after 3 washes with Clear Considering my scalp is extremely oily, it might work fine for others. But for those who've been using oil-stripping shampoos like Daeng Gi Meo Ri, I can't recommend this. I bought two bottles, but I need to use them up quickly and swim back to Daeng Gi Meo Ri like a salmon... - go**********Oily SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedAug 16, 2024
My scalp acne was quite severe, but this product has really helped alleviate it. At the very least, I don't experience any itching while using this shampoo. The fragrance isn't pleasant. The gray color makes me reluctant to use it if I didn't have scalp issues. - qu*******Combination SkinRecommendedMar 29, 2024
While the scent might be polarizing, the effectiveness seems quite good The fragrance is a bit too masculine for my taste, which is somewhat disappointing - jk*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinDec 18, 2023
It works well for seborrheic dermatitis on the scalp. The scent is pleasant, though a bit strong. There's some irritation when using it. The fragrance is also quite intense. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityDead Skin CellsOct 2, 2023
It feels refreshing and not tight on the skin, making it pleasant to use It has a strong masculine fragrance typical of men's skincare products - sd*****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 2, 2023
As someone suffering from seborrheic dermatitis with flakes on my shoulders, I bought this to use alongside Selsun Blue (selenium sulfide shampoo) that I ordered from overseas. The active ingredient in this shampoo is zinc pyrithione, and while it's not medicinal-grade, it has a high concentration. It's actually the highest among zinc shampoos easily available in supermarkets. Here are the benefits I've noticed: - Immediate effects: Reduced scalp oil production leading to less greasy hair (I can't believe my hair stays fresh even the next day! No need to dust dry shampoo on my bangs!), and reduced itching. - Long-term effects: Dandruff reduction (I'm in my second week of using Selsun Blue 3 times and this 4 times a week, and now I don't see any flakes falling! Though I can still feel some scaly patches when I scratch.) To sum up the pros: 1. Easily available both online and in stores 2. High zinc pyrithione content > effective 3. Reasonably priced for what it offers There's nothing particularly bad about it... It does have a bit of a 'men's skincare' scent, but compared to sulfur-based shampoos, this is heavenly. It's actually quite pleasant. (For reference, the main players in sulfur shampoos are Head & Shoulders Clinical Strength and Selsun Blue Medicated, which smell like rotten eggs due to the sulfur.) - ws*****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 6, 2022
It's great for seborrheic dermatitis on the scalp. I've used it a lot and it's really improved my condition! The scent is like men's aftershave. Sometimes it even smells a bit sour, which is disappointing.
