This is the first time I've tried a body product in this type of packaging. Fortunately, it didn't tear before I finished using it all. Aesop is pricey, but nice for an occasional treat. I found it gentle with no blemishes.

It's a bit on the rich side. If not spread evenly, it can transfer onto clothes. When applying to the body, you need to massage it in thoroughly.

However... I broke out in hives all over my body. It was a severe reaction everywhere, and at first, I didn't realize it was because of this body balm, so I kept applying it until I figured it out. I noticed there was another review mentioning hives too. I should have read the reviews before buying. My skin isn't sensitive at all, and I rarely get blemishes - it's very healthy. I've never been prone to allergies, so please don't think 'I don't have sensitive skin, so I'll be fine.' You might end up experiencing a $100 case of hives. Take it from someone with super sensitive skin now.
