I'm usually the type to apply body lotion, and I have a normal skin condition that experiences dryness in the fall and winter! However, since I use body wash daily, I've become dependent on aloe vera gel all year round! 🫑 The fragrance is so lovely - it's fresh and aromatic, but not overpowering at all, and the longevity isn't bad either (which is good, because if the longevity was too strong, it might clash with any perfume I use later). The faint skin scent that remains is just a subtle, watery note. (Of course, everyone's natural skin scent is different, so this may vary.) 🫑 It has a slightly creamy, lightweight cream texture, but there's hardly any oiliness. It absorbs quickly, without leaving skin feeling dry, and it sinks in smoothly even on dry skin. Is this what makes it worth the price...? Ignoring the cost, this is a product I truly, truly love😍

I bought the Aesop Geranium Leaf Body Wash and also got the body balm as a set. In the end, I liked the body balm better than the body wash. Personally, I tend to avoid very rich and heavy moisturizing creams that I have to put on my body (because I have to wear clothes on top). This product, however, provided just the right amount of hydration without feeling sticky, so the usage experience was great. The signature Aesop aroma that brings a sense of calm is an added bonus.
Cons
Considering the price, there are probably cheaper and better products out there, but I keep buying this one because I'm captivated by Aesop's earthy scent and packaging.

The fragrance is absolutely amazing! I really love aromatherapy scents, so I'm not sure if that's why, but it was just so good. The absorption is also very fast... It's moisturizing and great. The tube format is convenient to use and hygienic!

Since the absorption is so fast, if you apply it and wait even a little bit, it all gets absorbed, so you end up using more... The fast absorption is good, but it's a bit of a downside.
