The absorbs well and absorbs well. It doesn't feel like it's sitting on top of the skin, but sinks right in, which should help improve deep dryness. The ingredients are gentle, and even though I have super sensitive skin, it didn't cause any blemishes. I also liked that it didn't feel rich. Since I have very dry skin, I think the hydration is not quite enough for me. I'm using generous amounts, and while it does improve deep dryness, I don't feel a significant effect. I end up applying another soothing cream on top of it! It might work well if used with other products. It seems good as a layering cream without being too heavy. When layered, it doesn't feel heavy or like it's sitting on the skin - it absorbs really well. It gives the impression that it won't clog pores! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinNov 12, 2023
I have oily skin and tend to get dead skin cells during seasonal changes. I usually don't like sticky products, so I was pleased that this wasn't sticky at all! The texture itself isn't thick, but rather like a slightly runny moisturizer, which made it easy to apply. It was especially good for calming my skin when it gets irritated from frequent makeup use. I didn't experience any sudden blemishes after using this product, so I think it can be used without worry. The scent isn't artificial, so even those sensitive to fragrances should be able to use it comfortably. Although I haven't used it for a long time yet, I've liked it so far and would consider repurchasing when I run out! While the product is good, the price might be a bit burdensome for some! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinNov 11, 2023
Here's an honest review from one of The Hwahae Testers: As someone with blemish-prone, sensitive combination skin, I tried the Fine Cica Soothing Cream. The texture is pleasantly rich without being heavy, leaving a nice finish. I love that it doesn't make my skin oily even after applying makeup! It's also nearly fragrance-free, which is great. True to its name, this product didn't cause any blemishes. I think I'll be able to keep using this for a long time to come! Since it's a cream you apply morning and night, I find the screw-top container a bit inconvenient. Personally, I prefer a squeeze tube style like toothpaste for easy application. However, I realize this might be a matter of personal preference for different users. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinNov 10, 2023
As someone with acne-prone skin, I found this product to be really beneficial. Usually during my period, I get a lot of blemishes, but luckily my cycle coincided with The Hwahae Testers trial period. After consistently applying it, I noticed significantly fewer breakouts! I also love the pine scent - it's one of my favorites. While the texture isn't super hydrating, it seems to address deep dryness after application. It doesn't leave any oily residue, and I've noticed my makeup applies better when I use this cream underneath. It feels like a great match for my skin. While I enjoyed the fragrance, I think it might be a bit polarizing for some people. Also, when I touch my skin after applying, it feels a bit sticky. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinNov 10, 2023
I won this in an event and have been using it once a day for about a week. For reference, my skin is oily, sensitive, prone to blemishes, and has redness. I've been using it after swimming when my skin feels quite dry. It doesn't feel greasy or make my hair stick to my face, but absorbs well with a fresh feeling. The texture is somewhere between a hydrating cream and a gel cream. It seems to have a rich consistency that's good for oily, sensitive skin. As I have super sensitive skin, I'm only using a small amount once a day, and thankfully, it hasn't caused any blemishes. My skin tends to have a lot of redness, and this cream definitely seems to help with that. While it hasn't dramatically transformed my skin, I feel like it's gradually improving, so I plan to continue using it. Usually, creams make my face react badly, but this one seems okay so far. I'm hoping it might become my holy grail cream! About 3 hours after application, my face starts to feel itchy. I'm not sure if it's because of this cream or something else, so I'll need to observe it more closely. For those with dry skin, it might be beneficial to mix in a little facial oil when using this cream. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 10, 2023
It's incredibly gentle! There's no skin irritation, and it absorbs quickly as you apply it. It doesn't cause any pilling when applied before makeup. The scent is refreshingly cool, making it completely worry-free. While it's not as heavy as a cream, it doesn't feel heavy even when layered with a moisturizer. Despite having blemish-prone skin, I haven't experienced any breakouts or spreading of existing blemishes since using this product. It's a versatile product, I'd say? It seems to have a calming effect, so I make sure to apply it during my skincare routine. As a finishing moisturizer for the colder seasons, it lacks sufficient hydration. You'll need to layer another cream on top. That's the only downside I can think of. If your skin feels a bit rough, try applying it twice to really nourish your skin, then top it off with another cream before bed. You'll wake up to that perfect Inner Glow! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 10, 2023
I'm not a fan of greasy creams, but I love how this soothing cream provides just the right amount of hydration for these seasonal changes and winter months! The absorption is nice and smooth. Plus, the price is fantastic - truly a bang for your buck! When I consistently apply it to areas with blemishes, it definitely helps scabs form a bit better. I'm pleased with how well it absorbs and that it doesn't cause any new blemishes! It's been tricky to find a cream that doesn't cause pimples due to excess oil, but even those with blemish-prone skin can use this comfortably. I don't really have any negatives to mention. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinNov 9, 2023
First off, the scent is incredibly subtle - you might even wonder if there's a fragrance at all. I absolutely love that! The texture has a medium consistency. I was a bit surprised by its slight tint and thought it might be runny, but it's actually the perfect consistency for absorption. It's not too thick or too thin, absorbs quickly, and doesn't leave my skin feeling overly dry. It's just fantastic! Even with my super sensitive skin, I didn't experience any blemishes, which is such a relief. When applied, you can really feel the hydration, and it leaves my skin feeling moisturized. After absorption, it's not sticky, but it's not dry either - it feels like there's a thin protective layer on my skin, which I'm very satisfied with. I think it would be perfect as a protective layer in windy weather like we're having now. I highly recommend it! The amount is a bit small... To be honest, I can't think of any other downsides except for the quantity... I found it works great when I apply it as a cream and also mix it with my sunscreen. When I use it at night, I apply a thicker layer like a sleeping mask, and my complexion looks brighter the next day! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 7, 2023
- Perfect hydration for the dry season - Texture, feel, and absorption similar to regular body emulsions (I use Dove), but this one's slightly more viscous - Love the natural pine or cypress scent - Gentle formula, doesn't cause blemishes - Helps soothe skin and improve barrier function - Doesn't pill under cushion foundation (tested with Hera Glow Cushion) - Absolutely unsuitable for oily skin in hot weather Other than that, I didn't notice any particular drawbacks! However, it's not quite a 'must-repurchase' product. While the quality is decent for the price, there are so many great soothing and hydrating creams on the market these days. ++ Review update 11.26 (Recently experienced some skin peeling due to overuse of retinol) When my face was super sensitive and stinging, I only cleansed with water and applied this cream alone. Comparing it to my usual moisturizer, I realized this product isn't entirely gentle. It caused a slight tingling on my sensitized skin... So I'll be switching back to my regular cream Oily skin types should be careful with the amount applied to the T-zone, as using too much could lead to small bumps - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinApr 6, 2023
I tried this product as a sample. I usually have sensitive combination dehydrated skin, and in summer my skin tends to be more oily. When using this product, I was relieved that it didn't cause any blemishes. At first glance, it looks very lightweight, but while applying it, I thought, 'Oh, it feels slightly oily?' However, once it's fully applied, it absorbs quickly without feeling sticky, leaving a light finish. It's quite fascinating! As for the scent, it's like pine, I think? It has a fresh, herbal fragrance. I'm very interested in cosmetics, but this is the first time I've come across this product. It seems like it could benefit from more active promotion.
