This is the 23rd Hwahae Trial Reviewer. The Kool Base Lip is really great. When worn alone, the deep plum color is intense, but when used as a base, it creates a gorgeous look. It applies smoothly and doesn't leave the lips feeling overly dry after application, so it works well as a base for matte lip products. It has good staying power for a semi-matte lip. The lip line is defined, but when applied around the lip edges, it blends in naturally and looks amazing. I would love it if you could create a neutral base lip from this line for me!

When applied lightly, it's just like my real lip color, so it's perfect for over-lipping whether you have warm or cool lips.

Pros
Calm pink! It's great for applying lipstick. I use shade 21 cushion and it seems good for daily wear, just applying and going. When I apply lip balm and color, I don't really notice any peeling.
Cons
There's a white cast. I was looking for a nude lipstick, so I found this one with a white cast to be acceptable.

Pros
I was debating between the warm spring tone and the cool summer tone, and I ended up getting the #2 first. The color swatched quite deeply on the back of my hand, but when I applied it to my lips, it came out with a lot of white undertones. I used this as the base and then added a slightly deeper color in the center, and it looked really nice. The formula has a soft, smooth powder matte feel as it glides on. Even when I just swiped it on quickly, it applied nicely. My lips have been a bit flaky lately, but it didn't accentuate the dryness too much.
Cons
I'm not sure if it's just on my lips, but the white undertones seemed more pronounced than I expected, so if the white cast doesn't suit you, I'd caution against it... (but still give it a try!)
