It definitely feels moisturizing, and I was satisfied to see how calmed my skin looked the next morning. Highly recommended for dry skin! The ingredients are worry-free, and the amount is generous.
ConsIt has a slight oily feel along with the hydration, so it's not recommended for oily skin types.
TipApplying it with your hands allows for cleaner absorption!

True to its name as an emulsion, it's not just hydrating - it leaves a thin, slightly rich film on the skin when applied.
ConsI couldn't really feel any soothing effects. The rich texture didn't suit me, possibly due to its oily feel.

I dare say it might be named to suggest it's a toner with the moisturizing properties of an emulsion, similar to other products called 'cream skin'. And indeed, it does have that level of hydration and moisturization. Usually, toners provide hydration but need a cream to lock it in. This product, however, seems to maintain moisture on its own.
ConsGiven that this toner provides both hydration and moisturization simultaneously, some might perceive it as having a rich texture.

With 5% panthenol, it's great for improving skin barrier and hydration. It's not like a typical toner, and I can see why it's called an emulsion. It has a rich texture.
ConsThe rich texture is a bit disappointing for me. After application, my face feels quite greasy and oily, and it doesn't seem to go away. That's why I can't use this in the morning, only at night.
TipIf you dislike excess shine but need something for skin protection before sleep, I'd recommend this!

It keeps my skin hydrated for a long time. I like that the lid isn't detachable.
ConsI thought it was moisturizing, but it's subtly greasy and sticky. Initially, it absorbed well and didn't cause any major blemishes, so I used it for a week. But when I looked in the mirror under bright light, my whole face was bumpy and slightly swollen. While there aren't any big blemishes, every pore seems clogged with sebum. I nearly killed myself trying to extract them. I wonder what's causing this? Also, it stung my eyes.
TipTry using only a moderate amount instead of applying too much.

While products with panthenol aren't completely watery, they have a slight viscosity. I've tried both Innisfree's panthenol and this one, but using it as an absorption toner is absolutely the best! I wouldn't recommend using it as an exfoliating toner as it might irritate the skin. The most effective ways are either using it once as an absorption toner or as a 5-minute skin pack. When I used it as a skin pack, it noticeably calmed the redness on my cheeks. I've been using it for about 3 days now, and there are no blemishes while it effectively reduces redness. Highly recommended for dry skin. For combination or oily skin types, it might be better to use it in the evening. Due to its viscosity and soothing properties, it may cause makeup to lift if used during the day.
ConsBecause I have oily skin, it's too rich to use as anything other than a skin pack. It's sticky and slippery, so I can only apply it on my cheeks. It's impossible to use the absorption method twice as it creates a foam-like texture.

Although it's labeled as an emulsion, it's actually a clear toner! While using it, I didn't notice my blemishes getting worse. The finish feels similar to a thin serum, like it's coating the skin? It might be great for those who don't like toners with a fresh, light feel.
ConsAs I mentioned in the positives, it felt like it was coating the skin, but depending on your skin condition, it can also feel a bit greasy at the end. I have oily skin prone to small blemishes, so I prefer toners or skin that finish with a fresh feel. Compared to those types of toners, this one felt oily to me. I tried using this toner in different ways: 1) Layering it multiple times with my hands: felt greasy at the end. 2) Using it as a mask with cotton pads: okay if done briefly, but felt greasy if left on too long. 3) As an exfoliating toner with a cotton pad: better than the above two methods, but still not quite the fresh feeling I prefer. It wasn't the type of toner I like (with a fresh finish), and my skin hasn't been in great condition lately, so it might not have absorbed well. Please keep this in mind! When I first got it and my skin was in better condition, it worked well as a mask with cotton pads!

While my super sensitive skin doesn't agree with houttuynia cordata or aloe, it loves tea tree and cica! I was hesitant to use this product due to my skin's sensitivity, but lately my skin has been feeling quite parched. Since this contains panthenol, which helps with the skin barrier, I decided to give it a try. After using it for about a week, I found it provides some hydration, making my skin feel somewhat moisturized. Plus, I didn't experience any new blemishes.
ConsHowever, for me, it felt more sticky than moisturizing. When choosing skincare products, my top priority is always finding ones that aren't sticky, but this one somehow felt a bit rich. Because of this, I was worried about breakouts if I used it for a mask pack, so I just used it as a regular toner. Also, the lid is quite stiff - it's a bit inconvenient to use.
TipThis product seems perfect for those with dry skin types. These days, everyone's using toner pads, so I'd recommend buying separate pads to use this as a toner pack. However, I wouldn't recommend it for those with oily skin.

Less drying than other watery toners. So far, it's been quite satisfactory.
ConsI use it as a toner, but after wiping, it doesn't feel fresh. Instead, there's a greasy, sticky feeling? I have to pat it in with my hands for complete absorption. I wish it were fragrance-free, but the scent seems to be from the ingredients and it's not great. However, it's not overly bothersome. There weren't any major disappointments. Lately, my lower face has been okay even with mask-wearing, but I'm stressed about the constant appearance of small bumps and blemishes above my eye contour line. This product didn't help reduce those small bumps...
TipSkin type: Prone to dermatitis / Extremely dehydrated / Persistent blemishes / Redness from minor irritation

I generally like panthenol and cica ingredients, and I thought products with these ingredients would soothe my skin well, so I also applied for the Hwahae Trial Reviewer program. The ingredient composition itself was satisfactory. When I apply and absorb it, my skin feels soothed.
ConsThere are some disappointments in the formulation rather than the ingredients. I never use occlusive cleansers and prefer absorptive ones, but this toner doesn't feel like it absorbs cleanly. If you were expecting a toner with that kind of formulation, I wouldn't recommend this. There's a sense of moisture and soothing, plus a slightly lingering oily feeling. So I would recommend this toner more for dry skin types rather than oily/combination. Personally, I've tried a few La Roche-Posay products, but the brand doesn't seem to suit me very well. But since this toner was launched with the ingredients I like, I had hoped my perception of La Roche-Posay would change, but the product wasn't quite what I had expected.
TipI thought it was a pure water toner, but it has a slightly viscous feel rather than just water, and it's more of an absorptive toner rather than an occlusive one. Personally, I would recommend this to dry skin types who are looking for hydration and soothing benefits, rather than oily/combination skin. And I'd recommend this to those who find that La Roche-Posay products work well for their skin (as different brands tend to suit different people).
