This is a holy grail product that makes your makeup look flawless! As it's water-based, it provides excellent hydration as a given, and with its gentle ingredients, I used it without any blemishes :) As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I didn't find any downsides, but I imagine those with oily skin might feel the rich texture coming through more quickly!

I bought this to prevent my makeup from separating, and it's great when mixed with foundation. It keeps my skin feeling nicely moisturized. For a while, I couldn't do my makeup without this. After using it, I realized it's possible for my base not to look cakey. Surprisingly, the amount lasted quite a long time. Unfortunately, it's been discontinued... Also, if you don't control the amount well, it can cause serious pilling. Honestly, when you apply this before your base makeup, you can use any product without it separating, clinging, or clumping. It's great that it's an affordable drugstore product too. If you apply this and then put on base makeup followed by powder or highlighter, it really pills and clumps. For combination dehydrated skin, this helps keep your skin from drying out in winter and prevents makeup from looking cakey when you're going for a light base If you're thorough with your skincare routine, you might not really need this product as it doesn't provide much in terms of evening skin tone
