I bought this based on a beauty YouTuber's recommendation. It's a product that combines both Vitamin C and retinol in one! The texture is slightly orange-tinted and a bit viscous, but it spreads very smoothly on the skin. I was using The Ordinary's retinol before, but I decided to try this one since it also contains vitamin C. I don't use it daily, but rather every other day. The morning after I use it, my face feels noticeably brighter. The scent is quite strong. It's like a harsh, old-fashioned aftershave smell... But you get used to it after a while. If you apply this in the morning, make sure to use sunscreen afterwards! - al******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedApr 23, 2024
I bought this after watching a video by a famous beauty YouTuber. Although I've only been using it for a week and can't say much about its benefits yet, I've noticed that my blemishes and small bumps haven't increased. It contains a Vitamin C derivative, so it doesn't irritate my skin. When applied, it temporarily gives my face a slightly yellowish tint... The scent is a bit... But fortunately, it dissipates as the product absorbs. Since it can oxidize, use it quickly without trying to save it! They say you can apply it in the morning too. Remember, sunscreen is a must after applying this product! - ba*****Dry SkinAtopic SkinApr 12, 2024
The product has a thin, runny consistency that flows easily when using the dropper. It absorbs incredibly smoothly. With retinol and vitamin derivatives, it's convenient when you don't want to bother applying multiple products separately. The scent is really disappointing. At first, it's like a tangy orange, but after a while, it develops an unpleasant musty smell, like damp laundry. I wish they could improve this issue. - po********Combination SkinSensitive SkinDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 12, 2024
A product that combines vitamin C derivatives and retinol in one bottle. Recommended for those who find pure vitamin C irritating to their skin. The price is quite steep... After using one bottle, I didn't repurchase. If pure vitamin C works well for you, you'd be better off buying and using that instead. - 01***Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedMar 17, 2024
As someone with super sensitive skin, I was really worried about trying this at first. But thankfully, it worked well for me without any tingling or peeling! My blemishes have actually decreased. You might not like its distinctive scent. It's kind of an artificial orange smell? Having to smell it every day is not so great. Since retinol is sensitive to UV rays, I recommend applying it only at night. Using it together with Reddle Shot really enhances the effect of smoothing out your skin texture! - ga*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 26, 2024
The 0.0195% concentration is just right. With its vitamin content, I can definitely feel my skin becoming firmer and more resilient. The price is a bit steep... It's disappointing that Costco doesn't seem to carry it anymore. Apply it in the evening, and don't forget to use sunscreen when you go out in the morning. - lo*********Dry SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 19, 2024
A review after finishing a whole bottle The 0.095% retinol concentration is suitable for intermediate retinol users. I switched to Strivectin after using two bottles of Innisfree Retinol Cica Trace Ampoule (0.015% retinol) to let my skin adapt. Even so, I felt a slight tingling at first, so I used it every other day to adjust. Now it works great for me! It helped improve my skin texture. Especially around my temples, where I always had small bumps, they've completely cleared up. As someone with extremely dry skin, I always had an inexplicable roughness even with intense skincare, but using retinol has made a huge difference. Everyone, get on the retinol train! I love that it contains vitamin C, allowing for brightening care as well. I've heard that while retinol and vitamin C shouldn't be used together, it's fine when they're already combined in a single product. Applying it directly to your face with the dropper might cause more irritation. I recommend quickly spreading it or applying it to your hands first. It has a slightly thick scent reminiscent of spoiled orange juice. It didn't particularly bother me, but that's the scent it has. Given it contains both retinol and vitamin C, it's not the cheapest option. Keep an eye out for sales or deals. If you apply it during the day, make sure to use sunscreen! - go*********Combination SkinRecommendedJan 29, 2024
I bought this after watching YouTuber Jeyna's video, and I'm extremely satisfied! The fantastic combination of vitamin derivatives and retinol is amazing! I heard that while pure vitamin C might not work well with retinol, the derivatives are a great match - and it's so true! Even when I didn't get enough sleep, my skin survived! The changes are noticeable even after just one day of use. My face became smoother and brighter very quickly! Considering the ingredients, the price is also satisfactory. Retinol products are often quite expensive, but this one seems to offer great value for its effectiveness. The scent is somewhat reminiscent of old-fashioned men's skincare products, which might be a bit surprising at first... Adding this retinol serum and a niacinamide serum to your evening routine can really boost the brightening effects!
