  Although the product is labeled as a gel, the staff at the Isoi shop told me that this line functions as a serum/essence. Even though I have very dry skin, this lightweight gel type actually does a good job of replenishing the moisture without just sitting heavily on the surface. I was initially skeptical, but I'm very satisfied with the results!☺️ I apply this as a serum/essence step and then follow up with a lotion. It absorbs very refreshingly. Remarkably, after using this for about a week, I no longer feel that uncomfortable tightness (which even the Physiogel AI couldn't solve...tears😭😭😭)! I'm planning to gradually switch over to Isoi products going forward. Although the prices are a bit higher, I haven't found many basic skincare products that are this comfortable and absorb so completely~!

If you have very dry skin, I'd recommend using a richer essence in the winter, or mixing in some facial oil with your lotion/cream like I do.

  After using this, I mix a couple drops of facial oil into the 'Excellent Lotion' and apply it. 👍👍👍 It absorbs completely without any tightness or oiliness, leaving a very comfortable feel! (Though the surface does start to feel a bit dry again later in the day!!)
