The cleansing effectiveness seems pretty good. I liked the texture too - it had just the right amount of oiliness. It stung a bit if it got in my eyes. I bought it trusting the ingredients, but... - on*****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessSep 27, 2024
The fragrance is lovely, the ingredients are great, and the packaging design is beautiful. It also removes makeup effectively in one go. It's too heavy for oily skin and those with folliculitis, and it can cause blemishes. The oil-rich ingredients don't seem to agree with my skin. If you emulsify it well with water, it rinses off cleanly. - pl**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedAug 18, 2024
1. As someone who doesn't particularly enjoy artificial fragrances, I really appreciated the combination of rosemary leaf oil, Atlas cedar bark oil, lime herb oil, and bergamot oil. Even blended, it's a subtle rosemary scent, so if you're not a fan of rosemary, you might want to pass on this product. Personally, I absolutely adore this fragrance! 2. Despite being a vegan cleansing oil with a sunflower seed oil base, it's incredibly effective at removing makeup. I'll list the products I tested from top to bottom in the photo: - Papa Recipe Blemish Balm SPF 26 PA++ - B.O.M Wonder Proof Pen Eyeliner 02 Wonder Brown - Karadium Shining Pearl Shadow Stick 06 Chocolate Brown - Missha Smudge Proof Wood Brow in Gray Brown - Dear Dahlia Blooming Edition Satin Glow Lip Stain in Rust I don't typically wear heavy makeup, but I tested it with the products I use regularly. Please keep this in mind when judging its cleansing effectiveness. In my experience, it easily removes light sunscreen, BB cream, stick eyeshadow, and lip gloss. The pen eyeliner also came off well, but it required a bit more time and deeper massaging. 3. I find it effective for at-home blackhead care. Lately, I've been very conscious of my pores and blackheads, and the summer season seems to exacerbate these issues. Every evening, after removing my makeup with cleansing oil and wiping with a dry tissue, I apply more cleansing oil to my T-zone and chin area for a massage. When I rub vigorously, I can feel strange little granules - it's an incredibly satisfying experience as the stubborn blackheads trapped in my pores are removed. Afterwards, I rinse with lukewarm water, and even at this stage, I'm already pleased with the results. However, it's crucial to remember that cleansing oil is, well, oil, so it's extremely important to wash it off thoroughly. I'm genuinely curious and concerned about those who only rinse lightly with water after using cleansing oil - is it because their skin is dry, or does it actually work for them? I highly recommend a second cleanse. If you follow this routine, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by how clean your nose, cheeks, and chin look. There's not much to be disappointed about, really. I'm not sure whether to put this under tips or drawbacks, but I'll mention it here. As the product name suggests, it contains 2,250ppm of rosemary oil. Due to this, there's a risk of uterine contractions, so I think it's best for pregnant women to avoid using it. While 2,250ppm is only about 0.2% (?), which is a very small amount, it's always better to be cautious during pregnancy. Please keep this in mind! Don't just use it for makeup removal - I also recommend trying it for blackhead care. So, keep it in your bathroom for easy access! - sh********Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRecommendedJun 20, 2024
I've been using this cleansing oil exclusively for 5 years now. With my previous Witch's Potion cleansing oil, I had to double cleanse or use a separate lip and eye makeup remover because it couldn't fully remove my 2-year-old mascara and left residue around my eyes and on my lips. But this one removes everything in one go! It's surprisingly effective yet gentle - quite impressive, right? I was shocked to see some reviews saying it doesn't remove makeup well because it works wonders on my stubborn mascara and lipstick. After a month of use, I'm really satisfied with its cleansing effectiveness. I've stopped double cleansing and just finish with a gentle cleanser containing surfactants. It's that good! Compared to other cleansing oils on the market, it's a bit pricey for the amount you get. But when you look at department store brands, it's not that expensive. Considering its cleansing power, the best approach is probably to buy it when it's on sale. - bl**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessRecommendedMay 28, 2024
I love the rosemary scent. The bottle is pretty, and the ingredients are gentle on the skin. The label on the front of the bottle tends to peel off with use. While it's good for recycling, it looks a bit messy. - re*********Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 5, 2024
The rosemary scent is surprisingly warm and rich. The oil feels light and glides smoothly on the skin. It effectively removes my minimal eye makeup, like eyebrow mascara. My skin feels more hydrated than usual, and the blackheads on my nose are less noticeable. The bumpy whiteheads on my chin have significantly reduced, leaving my skin feeling softer. It requires a thorough emulsification process. If you rush it, the oil doesn't emulsify well and leaves a slippery residue. Dampen your hands very slightly with water and massage thoroughly. Then, slightly dampen your hands again and massage once more before rinsing. Don't splash water on your face as you would when washing normally - the oil won't emulsify at all if you do that. - mo********Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMay 1, 2024
It caused no irritation at all, even for sensitive skin. Even when it accidentally got into my eyes, it wasn't as stinging as other products. The texture isn't runny, but has a somewhat substantial feel to it. It doesn't remove heavy makeup well. Especially for lip or eye makeup, you need to cleanse separately a second time. While the ingredients themselves are gentle and good, the cleansing effectiveness isn't that great, so I don't plan to repurchase. - je******Combination SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresNov 30, 2023
The rosemary scent when using this product is absolutely delightful. The glass container is a nice touch, and the pump dispenses the product smoothly. When rinsing off the oil, there's a slight residual feeling. I'm not sure if it's just my imagination, but it feels like some oil remains on the skin. I always double cleanse. It doesn't seem particularly effective at removing blackheads or leaving a refreshed feeling. - sh**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresMar 1, 2023
I've never had a positive experience with this product until now... Oh, I just realized that natural oils are supposed to leave a residual feeling? Apparently, it's because this is a completely natural oil. I guess I'll give it one star after all... hehe... I'm not sure how to describe it, but there's too much residue left on the skin. I've tried various cleansing oils, but this product leaves an unusually heavy residue. Usually, I can get away with just oil cleansing without a second cleanse for most products, but with this one, it feels uncomfortable. The residual feeling is somewhat similar to Shu Uemura's, like there's a film left on the skin. I definitely won't be repurchasing this. - wh*****Combination SkinNov 29, 2022
The rosemary scent is lovely, and the pump dispenser makes it convenient to use I bought it to remove blackheads, but it doesn't seem to be very effective at that
