I have extremely oily skin and seborrheic dermatitis on my scalp. I've been on a 20-year quest to find the perfect shampoo. A few years ago, I tried a free sample from a 'value store' event and loved it so much I've been searching for it ever since. After using just samples (and buying the 100g size), I recently purchased the renewed product from a home shopping site and have been using it. With seborrheic dermatitis, choosing a shampoo is incredibly difficult... but since the renewal, I haven't experienced any dead skin cells or oozing, so I've been washing my hair morning and night. The pre-renewal product was much better for hair texture and freshness, but using it more than twice caused my scalp to redden and ooze... now that doesn't happen at all. It's truly, genuinely great~ I've been using it consistently for over 3 weeks and haven't had any blemishes on my scalp~ For those with oily, seborrheic scalps, many find it difficult to use conditioner due to blemishes. Even with just this shampoo, my hair feels incredibly soft. [Note] Before using Hesol, I used Dr. *Hair Poly* shampoo, which was okay for my scalp but couldn't control the oil.. Even washing morning and night, after two days my hair would become greasy and my crown would smell. At those times, I'd use Dr. Ol* shampoo once in a while.. but this caused pimples on my scalp.. So I used them in a ratio of 4 Dr. Po to 2 Dr. Ol.. Because I was so stressed about my scalp, my husband never complained about shampoo purchases~ So I became rich in shampoos~ It's expensive... Although it's now available in packages on home shopping channels too... it's still quite pricey~ It lathers really well~ Even using just a little bit creates a rich lather~ This makes it great for scalp massages~ If you just pay attention to rinsing, it's really good. When I rinsed carelessly at first, I got pimples, but when I rinsed thoroughly, it was fine~ I highly recommend this to those with seborrheic scalps.
