I was looking for a soothing cream rather than a brightening moisturizer, so I bought this one with calamine and niacinamide. It gives a pretty and natural even skin tone. Moreover, even without the brightening effect, my redness has significantly improved, which I'm quite satisfied with. My sebum production has also decreased a lot. I noticed some small bumps the next day, but I'm not sure if it's because of this product. If it doesn't cause blemishes, I plan to repurchase. I'll update if I experience any breakouts. My skin feels dry the morning after application. So, I've been applying a hydrating cream first, then this brightening moisturizer last. Still, thin-skinned areas like around the mouth have white flakes the next day. Since soothing effects and redness reduction are most important to me, this didn't bother me much, but those with dry skin should moisturize well before using this. Also, there's a bit of residue even after cleansing with foam cleanser the next morning. This didn't really bother me either. It seems to slightly clog pores. So, I avoid applying it to areas prone to blemishes and focus on areas with severe redness or excess sebum production. I've noticed a significant improvement in redness! - d4********Oily SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 29, 2023
It naturally evens skin tone and I love it. It's comforting to think of it as a skincare product that's good for your complexion. There's really nothing to complain about. If I had to nitpick, maybe the scent? - hj*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 20, 2023
After applying, it really reduces itching. A must-have for easily irritated skin. If you apply too much, it pills. It's somewhat better when it pills like peeling skin, but it can also pill like the film on hot milk, which is worse. Use it at night or be careful with the amount you apply. - sh**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedMar 5, 2023
I used to neglect this cream, thinking it was too rich and oily, unsure how to use it properly. Recently, I've been using tretinoin ointment, but due to overuse, I experienced side effects like excessive dead skin cells, redness, and blisters. Everything I applied left my skin feeling dry, no matter how much I layered on. On a whim, I tried this cream again, and wow! What a pleasant surprise! It's incredibly hydrating! While it's not a one-application miracle, it feels like it cuts down the need for 5-6 layers of other products by half (maybe a slight exaggeration). This must be a cream specifically for very dry skin! It's finally getting the recognition it deserves! The moisturizing effect is excellent. I used to consider this a failed purchase among Dermafactory products, but now I absolutely love it! If you have dry skin, definitely buy this. It's reasonably priced and has safe ingredients. Those with oily or combination skin might find the rich texture uncomfortable. The brightening effect may make your face look a bit ghostly. After some time, I realized that while it's not enough on its own for damaged skin, it's perfectly fine for generally dry skin! For those without dry skin, mixing it with another product could help balance hydration and give you a brighter complexion. - cr*******Dehydrated SkinEnlarged PoresRecommendedOct 23, 2022
I used it regularly on my hands and noticed they became noticeably lighter over time The amount is quite small, so it runs out quickly. Even buying three bottles, I used them all up in less than two months - io*****Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 21, 2022
I generally like Dermafactory cosmetics and find they suit me well. This product, however, I'm not so sure about. It's a pink-tinted cream due to the calamine content, which makes it feel a bit thick. It's neither particularly impressive nor disappointing - just a genuinely average item. The way it applies isn't to my liking - it's quite thick and stiff. The brightening effect doesn't last long either. I might as well buy a cream that absorbs well without the brightening feature. - ch*****Oily SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedAug 4, 2022
Can apply and sleep comfortably Moisture-rich formula Creamy but feels like an emulsion Nearly fragrance-free with instant brightening effect Great as a BB cream substitute for quick outings on hot days May experience pilling when used as a makeup base Recommended for dry skin if using as a makeup base Excellent for evening out skin tone, day or night - ql******Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRecommendedMay 17, 2022
It's wonderfully hydrating. The texture is smooth and applies like an emulsion. The brightening effect is subtle, allowing your natural skin to show through. It's versatile enough to use both day and night, which is great. The product size is smaller than I expected. I didn't realize it would be this tiny! I applied it during the day before going out, and while it felt fine at first, I started to feel an itchy sensation around my forehead area. I wonder if niacinamide doesn't agree with me. As someone with super sensitive skin, I felt a bit of discomfort. I'll do more research and update my review. For a more intense brightening effect, I'd recommend a mineral-based brightening sunscreen. While it's not visible in photos, this cream is much more hydrating than Kiehl's cream. - bg********Combination SkinAcne SkinMar 21, 2022
Update... Oh no, it's pilling and tiny blemishes are popping up everywhere. I won't be using this anymore~^^... But now, this has almost reached my holy grail status... I just added this cream to qualify for free shipping, but wow!! It's so good. I apply it every morning and night, and first of all, it's incredibly soothing. If I slather it on red areas before bed, by morning the redness has subsided. And unless you apply an excessive amount, it doesn't pill (most brightening moisturizers tend to pill, so...) When I apply it at night and wake up in the morning, my face becomes soft and smooth like baby skin :) Well... It's supposed to have brightening ingredients, but after using it for a week, I'm not sure yet..^^ Fortunately, I wasn't expecting brightening effects, so I'm not too disappointed. Apply it after your hydrating moisturizer has fully absorbed at night~~~ It's slightly rich in texture. - dp********Combination SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedNov 23, 2021
A perfect soothing cream doubling as a brightening moisturizer, made entirely of basic skincare ingredients. I was always uneasy about brightening moisturizers that claimed to be safe for overnight use because they all contained titanium dioxide, but this product doesn't have it! The ingredients responsible for evening skin tone seem to be zinc oxide and calamine, both of which I know to have soothing and antiseptic effects, often used in basic skincare products. Interestingly, the product description doesn't mention tone-evening at all, just describing it as a soothing cream. However, by highlighting tone-evening as a key feature, they're positioning it as a product with soothing as the primary function and complexion-evening as a secondary benefit. The price is incredibly affordable! They offer amazing discounts at the beginning of each month, making it possible to purchase at an unbelievably low price. I love that it comes in a small size at such a great value. Often with larger sizes, you can't use it all up or it feels like it's been open for too long, which can be unsettling. I really hope they don't lose sight of their initial concept and raise the prices later... fingers crossed! If you apply too much, it can pill, but that's just something you have to work around... for real. With this ingredient lineup and this level of tone-evening ability? Not to mention how well it absorbs... there's nothing to discard here. However, if you're expecting significant tone-evening effects, you might be disappointed. If you think of it as a basic skincare product that happens to have a subtle, immediate tone-evening effect, you'll likely be 100% satisfied! I don't usually apply sunscreen to my neck because it's a hassle to remove, but I use this when there's a noticeable difference between my face and neck complexion...
