The color payoff is great and the shade is beautiful. Although it's marketed as a cool-toned item, I've seen warm-toned people use it well too. However, this product seems to suit those who match with its depth and chroma rather than just warm or cool undertones. It's more fresh and cool than brick lipsticks, but not completely lightweight. I'd recommend this to those who prefer makeup with a bit of an edge, or a slightly heavier, dreamy style with a hint of purple. It's also perfect for those who want a brick-like color but find it makes their face look dull. It'll be a great match for such people! While it's called a cool-toned lip, it seems more suitable for winter cool tones rather than summer cool tones. It might work well for winter, or even those with a touch of autumn or spring! Plus, it doesn't seem to come off easily! Being a matte lip, once it sets, it barely budges.
I tried this because it's so famous, but it didn't quite work for me. I have a lighter complexion than most and suit a clearer makeup look as a summer cool tone. When I applied this product, it looked pretty at first glance, but the warm undertones in the lip color became more prominent, making the area around my lips look a bit dull and oddly mismatched with my face. The color payoff feels a bit heavy and muted. While it might look really atmospheric and beautiful on someone it suits, for someone like me who prefers and looks better with clearer makeup, it's not quite the right product. It's extremely dry when applying.
Make sure to apply a lip balm or treatment product before using this! It can dry out your lips.
