ConsSince it matches my skin tone exactly, I'm not sure if it's due to darkening or just a lack of radiance - it looks dull It doesn't have a pump, so I have to buy one separately
TipApplying it thinly with a brush works better for covering pores

I was very satisfied as I could go out for an average of 5-6 hours without needing to reapply at all. ❤No cakey effect: I really couldn't feel it at all...I'm so happy, it's the best. ❤No emphasizing of flaky skin: After using cheap products from The Face Shop, I felt this product was truly like a goddess...expensive products are worth the price. ❤Coverage: If someone asked me why I would buy this product again, I would shout 'the coverage' without a doubt...When I tried to cover my blemishes with other products, the red blemishes would still look a bit dull, but this product covers them so well that they're almost the same color as the surrounding skin.
Cons🖤Darkening: There was a slight darkening, but I don't think it was enough to need correction.

The product is the MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation (NC12). To begin, my skin type is cool-toned (with slight redness and flushing) and I use shades 19-21. Products, especially base makeup like foundations and sunscreens, that do not suit me well tend to cause small bumps. While I don't have active acne, I do have acne scars, and I prefer foundations with good coverage to conceal my dark undereye circles. As for why I chose the NC12 shade, despite preferring cooler-toned products, I felt that a slight yellow undertone would better conceal the redness. However, the coverage ended up being lower than expected, so this wasn't a major factor. I would still recommend the NC12 shade to those with skin tones around 21-22 who want a bit of redness coverage. And for those who prioritize a natural skin-like finish over heavy coverage, this foundation would also be a good choice, as any prominent blemishes can be easily concealed with a separate concealer. Now, the pros: 1. Skin-like Finish: This foundation gives a gorgeous, skin-like appearance, unlike many high-coverage foundations that can look cakey or unnatural. With the right concealer, it maintains a beautiful finish even after some wear time. 2. No Breakouts: Despite my very sensitive skin, I did not experience any major breakouts during the week of use, which is quite impressive given it's a full-coverage foundation. 3. Reasonable Price: For a high-end department store foundation, the price point is quite reasonable and accessible as an entry-level option. The only downside is the inconvenient packaging, as it's not a pump dispenser. However, you can purchase the pump dispenser separately for around $3, which I would recommend doing to make the application more convenient.
ConsThis foundation was disappointing in more ways than one. 1️⃣ Darkening Even though my skin is not prone to heavy darkening, the foundation noticeably darkened my complexion. The foundation was slightly darker than my skin tone, and it blended in well at first. However, the darkening made my skin look significantly darker (rather than just dull, it took on a yellowish-gray tone). This was likely more pronounced because I used a foundation darker than my natural skin tone, so I highly recommend testing it out or reading reviews from others before purchasing. 2️⃣ Allergic Reaction? As mentioned in the pros, this foundation did not cause any breakouts while I was wearing it. However, the ingredients seem to be irritating for delicate skin around the eyes! After removing my makeup on the first day of use, the skin around my eyes became reddened. I was able to soothe it with a madecassoside pack, but from then on I avoided applying the foundation near my eyes. I've never had this kind of reaction to a foundation before, so it was quite surprising. (I will continue to use the foundation on my entire face for a few more days to see if the allergic reaction persists.)
Tip❗️Here's a honey tip that tackles both the issue of darkening and coverage! I recommend applying a foundation that is similar to or slightly lighter than your skin tone all over your face, and then using a bright-colored concealer on the areas that need more coverage, such as under the eyes (cheeks), forehead, etc., to brighten those areas.🍯 This should give you a sophisticated skin expression and great coverage. Personally, I recommend using a damp sponge rather than a puff when applying. (Since the sponge sets quickly, be sure to dampen it with water or skin toner before use.) Using a brush didn't provide as much adhesion as I expected, so I wouldn't recommend it, especially in the summer!
