As someone in their early 20s who used to hop from product to product, Papa Recipe was the first brand I settled on. Looking at the ingredients, you'll see there are no harmful components. We all know how much drinking happens when you hit your 20s, and my acne was exploding because of it. But after using these products, it all cleared up! Usually, when switching skincare, you start with toner and emulsion, right? Well, this buddy hasn't been replaced since I switched - it's truly a life companion! 1) The texture is really refreshing and doesn't feel heavy at all. Some emulsions can be too oily, but this one has a perfect oil and moisture balance. 2) It's practically fragrance-free. When products have a noticeable scent, it often means they contain potentially irritating fragrances. This one is almost scentless, which speaks to its gentle formulation.

The texture isn't light and refreshing, but rather feels a bit heavy and sits on the skin.

It helps soothe the skin and can be used without any concerns.

If I only apply this, it feels a bit drying on my skin.

Overall, it seems not bad. It's not like 'Wow! This is amazing!' but also not 'Huh? This is terrible.' Just somewhere in between.

When you feel the hydration is a bit lacking, try mixing in a drop of facial oil before applying. It really helps to boost the moisture level.

Recently, when my skin was acting up again and wouldn't calm down, I remembered Papa Recipe products. I've been using the eggplant line and Blemish Cream combination again for 4-5 months now. In my experience, while the hydration doesn't last extremely long, it was perfect for summer use! It absorbs quickly, so if you have dehydrated skin prone to milia, you might need to layer an additional moisturizer. The scent is subtle and natural, not artificial, making it suitable even for those sensitive to fragrances. Overall, it's a pleasant, easy-to-apply emulsion.

I bought it during a sale so it was worth it, but I feel like it might not be as good value when it's not on sale.

After prepping my skin with the eggplant pads and applying the emulsion, I find it causes zero irritation and absorbs well without any stickiness. While I haven't used it long enough to gauge its effectiveness, I'm satisfied that my super sensitive skin hasn't experienced any itching or blemishes! For my morning routine, this emulsion alone is sufficient for skincare. In the evening, I layer a hydrating cream on top.

I used it together with the eggplant line ampoule and found the results even better!!

This is truly a holy grail product!! The size is incredibly generous!! I was so stressed about my milia, but this was the first product that actually got rid of them!! I've tried many gel creams and moisturizers that were supposed to be good for milia, but this product balanced my oil and moisture levels the best!! The price is also very reasonable, which is fantastic!! Being an emulsion, I thought it would be quite oily, but this eggplant line is designed for combination dehydrated skin, so it felt incredibly hydrating! It's not only hydrating but also very soothing!!

After application, it gives a glow to the face, but for oily skin, it eventually makes the face look shiny.

The ingredients are gentle, it absorbs well, and seems to be easily absorbed by the skin.
