As someone in their early 20s who used to hop from product to product, Papa Recipe was the first brand I settled on. Looking at the ingredients, you'll see there are no harmful components. We all know how much drinking happens when you hit your 20s, and my acne was exploding because of it. But after using these products, it all cleared up! Usually, when switching skincare, you start with toner and emulsion, right? Well, this buddy hasn't been replaced since I switched - it's truly a life companion! 1) The texture is really refreshing and doesn't feel heavy at all. Some emulsions can be too oily, but this one has a perfect oil and moisture balance. 2) It's practically fragrance-free. When products have a noticeable scent, it often means they contain potentially irritating fragrances. This one is almost scentless, which speaks to its gentle formulation. It's not easy to find in Olive Young stores. Overall, it seems not bad. It's not like 'Wow! This is amazing!' but also not 'Huh? This is terrible.' Just somewhere in between. The soothing effect is amazing! I'm completely satisfied with the gentle ingredients. It applies smoothly and feels lightweight on the skin. It also absorbs well into the skin quite quickly. It's a bit disappointing that the product volume is on the smaller side. Sometimes when my skin feels dry, the hydration could be slightly better. When you feel the hydration is a bit lacking, try mixing in a drop of facial oil before applying. I've had milia and combination dehydrated skin with slight sensitivity for years, both in the past and now. 3-4 years ago, when I was really stressed about my skin, I discovered Papa Recipe while searching for solutions. I started using their eggplant line along with the Blemish Cream. It was during this time that I first heard compliments about my skin looking good. Recently, when my skin was acting up again and wouldn't calm down, I remembered Papa Recipe products. I've been using the eggplant line and Blemish Cream combination again for 4-5 months now. In my experience, while the hydration doesn't last extremely long, it was perfect for summer use! It absorbs quickly, so if you have dehydrated skin prone to milia, you might need to layer an additional moisturizer. The scent is subtle and natural, not artificial, making it suitable even for those sensitive to fragrances. Overall, it's a pleasant, easy-to-apply emulsion. This emulsion might not be moisturizing enough for those with dry skin. This product glides on smoothly and gently! It's great because it doesn't irritate my skin at all. The hydration isn't quite enough if you're only using this emulsion. Also, the packaging with the pump and the not-so-thick texture makes it a bit messy to use.

I was curious if it would suit my skin, and since the eggplant pads work well for me, I made the purchase with a mix of trust and anticipation. After prepping my skin with the eggplant pads and applying the emulsion, I find it causes zero irritation and absorbs well without any stickiness. While I haven't used it long enough to gauge its effectiveness, I'm satisfied that my super sensitive skin hasn't experienced any itching or blemishes! For my morning routine, this emulsion alone is sufficient for skincare. In the evening, I layer a hydrating cream on top. Drawbacks? There aren't any! I'm satisfied that there's no adverse reaction or irritation on my sensitive skin. As for its effectiveness, that can only be determined with consistent use. So for now, I don't have any complaints!
