Among the various oils I've tried, this one feels the lightest and most refreshing.
ConsInitially, I tried a sample and noticed my skin texture improved, thinking 'Wow, what is this?' So I bought the full-size product. However, while using the full-size, I didn't experience that same 'Wow' factor. I'm not sure if it's just me though.
TipWhen mixed with base makeup, it seems to give a nice glow.

It's lightweight and even suitable for oily skin types, without feeling suffocating or heavy. Despite its light texture, it doesn't skimp on hydration either.
ConsWhy is this so expensive? I'm shocked by the price, especially for a brand that's not well-known. I came to buy it after trying a sample, but I'm stunned by the cost.

Even after layering it multiple times, it provides just the right balance of richness and hydration without feeling too heavy, making me reach for it often. The packaging is in my favorite pastel shades, so it looks absolutely gorgeous on my vanity!
ConsWhile you might need to layer it with another moisturizer in winter or on extremely dry days, I'm not disappointed at all since it's perfect for summer!
TipWhen I want a quick skincare routine before bed, I mix a few drops with my toner. It's super convenient and works great!

I used to follow a routine of cleansing toner - facial oil - emulsion, and typically switched up my emulsion in summer. With my combination dehydrated skin prone to blemishes and scarring, skipping oil would lead to a breakout disaster! But then I received this as part of The Hwahae Testers, and instead of changing my emulsion, I swapped out my facial oil. It's incredibly lightweight! As you can see in the photo, it comes with a curved dropper and has a fluid texture. The dropper definitely makes for clean application. Pros: 1. Lightweight 2. Pleasant scent I'm sensitive to strong fragrances, but this one isn't overpowering at all! 3. Versatile The ads show it being used on elbows and knees, but I've been applying it to my neck!
ConsFor the first week of use, I experienced a tingling sensation around my nose and philtrum area. I also felt a slight burning when applying my emulsion. So I tried mixing it with the emulsion, but that negated its lightweight benefit. I started using it again separately, and now it seems fine! The price is also a bit of a shock - it's more expensive than I expected! However, if you're looking for a light and refreshing oil, I think it's worth considering.

I've been using it even now in summer without any issues! Great absorption: It sinks in immediately upon application, absorbs well, and has a smooth, pleasant texture. Makeup applies beautifully the next day: I mixed a couple of drops with my night cream before bed, and the next day my makeup went on flawlessly, even though it was raining. No patchiness at all!
ConsSticky without cream: One morning, I applied just a few drops of this alone, followed by sunscreen. Even with a mineral sunscreen, my cheeks turned red and my face felt uncomfortably sticky. I'd recommend mixing it with your moisturizer for best results. Not enough hydration on its own: While it's not bad for moisturizing, it's difficult to use this product alone. Expensive: Although I'm very satisfied with the product, the high price makes me hesitant about repurchasing. It's a bit disappointing.
TipPro tip: Mix a small amount with your night cream for a flawless makeup application the next day. Caution: Unless you have very dry skin, using more than two drops is not recommended.

My T-zone gets really greasy just an hour after applying makeup... even with oil-control powder. It's probably due to various factors like summer, sunscreen, and my oily T-zone. I've only used Bio-Oil before to prevent dryness in winter. So I was really curious about this 'thin oil' that's supposed to be much lighter than other oils. So here's what I found: 1. First few days, I used 3-4 drops Out of habit from winter, I generously applied 3-4 drops. Since it was supposed to be lighter, I thought it would be fine for a test run! I was already using a 5-7 step routine with some nourishing products. Maybe because of that, I noticed small blemishes the next day. After testing for a few days, I realized 3-4 drops was too much. 2. Reduced to 2 drops After my emulsion, I drop two drops on my palm, gently rub my hands together, then press them onto my face. My skin doesn't feel unusually oily when using it compared to not using it. It feels incredibly smooth and pleasant when rubbing it on my palms or applying leftover oil to my neck. It feels like it's gently sealing in all the previous products! (I've heard somewhere that palms absorb all the good ingredients, but since I usually pat on other products with my fingers, I apply this without that stimulation to create a sealing effect) I can't say it's noticeably more hydrating, but there's a difference when I use it versus when I don't. It has that typical oil feeling of subtly enveloping and clinging to the skin. - Great for summer use! It's not too rich, so two drops are fine even before makeup. In winter, increasing to 3 drops would probably work well. I use it morning and night in this order: toner - ampoule/serum - emulsion - thin oil - spot treatment cream 1 or 2. Of course, my morning and evening routines differ slightly, and there are some daily variations. - I love the feeling of the moderate oil combined with the hydration from previous products. After applying, it feels like warmth is building up and wrapping around my skin! - The scent isn't artificial, and the ingredients are very gentle. I've applied it even on slightly scratched or irritated areas without any stinging. - Compared to products that are clearly 'oily', this thin oil has much better absorption. With other oils, it was always hard to adjust the amount because you'd end up using more trying to spread it evenly. This one is much lighter, so even in winter or during seasonal changes, 3 or 4 drops would be enough to apply smoothly all over.
Cons- Don't expect anything too dramatic. It's a product that's true to the basics, with gentle ingredients and a light oil feel, rather than a functional product. - It's a bit pricey. Around 61,000 won... which is quite expensive, so I'm still considering repurchasing. However, its versatility as an oil that can be used year-round is appealing... (Because I always end up with leftover Bio-Oil in winter that I can't finish and ends up going to waste. Considering that, spending 61,000 won on something I can use regardless of the season is actually a plus!)
TipThis isn't really a tip, but using this product has made me more interested in the July brand. Even though it's a bit pricey, I feel like they might have other products that are gentle and true to the basics. I'm thinking it might be good to reduce other functional products and focus on this line for skincare. They say sticking to the basics is the hardest thing to do... But this product seems to do that well without burdening the skin. It might be good to use this line as a base and just add 1-2 functional products.

The thin oil formula feels incredibly lightweight, not heavy at all despite being an oil product. I was concerned it might be too heavy for summer use, but it has a texture that feels like just a drop of oil mixed into a toner - very hydrating and light. It absorbs quickly when applied, leaving a nice, firm finish on the skin. Unlike typical oils that can feel sticky or slippery, this one really adheres to the skin, giving a smooth, taut finish. After using it for about a week, even with my oily and sensitive skin, I didn't find it burdensome to use. There were no blemishes or skin irritation. In fact, when I woke up in the morning after using it at night, my skin didn't have any unnecessary oiliness - it felt like it balanced my skin's oil and moisture levels well.
ConsWhile I didn't find many downsides to the product itself, I didn't feel it had enough significant benefits to make me want to keep using it long-term. It's great and light for summer use, but it might not be sufficient for fall and winter. Those with dry skin might find it lacking even in summer. The price point isn't particularly cheap (61,000 won for 30ml), so it might be a bit expensive for casual use.
TipA drop or two is sufficient for each application.

I only occasionally used a few drops of another brand's bio-oil that I received as a gift during extremely dry winters. But this... this is truly an amazing find! First off, the texture doesn't feel like a typical oil at all - it's incredibly lightweight! It's more like a toner, but slightly more substantial and hydrating. I applied a full dropper in the middle of summer, and there was absolutely no stickiness, heaviness, or suffocating feeling! It's mind-boggling how I applied an oil, yet it feels like my skin is being infused with hydration without any oily residue. Recently, my makeup had been separating on my cheeks in the afternoon, but after using this, that issue completely disappeared. I'm so grateful to have found my holy grail oil through this opportunity, and I plan to keep purchasing it. Thank you, Hwahae community!
ConsOf course, this might not suit those expecting a traditional oil, and especially dry skin types might find it insufficient. However, if you have oily skin, you absolutely must try this! My review can't do justice to the actual experience - you'll understand once you use it yourself.
TipI dispense a full dropper into my palm, spread it across both hands, and then press it gently all over my face. It absorbs instantly... truly a game-changing product!

I thought it was a light oil, so I applied it, but as soon as I put it on my face, I felt a sudden heat and my face became itchy and reddish. Ah, I thought I could never use oils forever. Then, instead of using it as a skincare product, I tried mixing a drop and a half (2 parts foundation: 1 part oil) into the dry foundation I normally use. (I always had an issue with my foundation drying out and my skin feeling tight, even in the summer) I felt that my skin wasn't irritated at all, and the dryness was slightly relieved. That evening, I washed my face again, wiped it with toner, and applied a drop on each cheek, forehead, nose, and chin. After using it for about 3 days, I still felt the heat and slight itchiness, but my skin surprisingly became remarkably clear without any redness. This product is an oil that can be mostly washed off with water, and it's not a heavy formula. That's why it seems my skin doesn't reject it. Even though this should be a period when my skin is a mess due to hormones, my skin is really clear. The uneven, blotchy spots have disappeared, and my skin overall looks clearer and more transparent. I'm sure it's thanks to this oil. It's unbelievable, but the effect has been amazing. Now I use it as a daily skincare routine in the evenings, not just mixed into my foundation.
ConsI feel itchiness around my nose when I apply this product. However, it doesn't cause any allergic reactions. And since it has a high viscosity, I can feel a bit of stickiness. This product causes a strong heat sensation. If you normally have a flushed, heated face or frequently experience heat-related breakouts, you might not be able to use this product :-( Also, the limited accessibility to stores and testers can be inconvenient, and the very high price is disappointing.ㅜㅜ
TipI'm the type whose skin gets extremely oily even without applying anything, so I don't dare to use this product while sleeping. (My skin is quite ironic too.. Even though so much oil comes up, my skin still gets flaky and separates when I wear makeup, even in the middle of summer.) That's why I apply this product after removing all my makeup before bed, then wash off the oil completely, and follow up with my usual skincare routine of toner -> aloe vera before going to sleep.

The sleek packaging and thoughtful presentation create anticipation for a new cosmetic manufacturing process. The branding seems well-executed. For my dry skin, when my foundation feels too drying and seems to age my skin quickly, or when I want better application on areas with visible pores or where makeup tends to settle, this works great as a concentration adjuster. One drop is relatively lightweight compared to other oils.
ConsTwo months ago, I wrote that it felt stuffy and itchy when used for skincare. Since then, I've been reluctant to use it regularly, only applying it on days when I've done a long cleansing routine or mixing a drop or two with makeup as mentioned in the positive points. Using a small amount doesn't cause itching. However, while mixing it does improve application slightly, it also reduces coverage proportionally. I'm not sure if it provides lasting hydration either. My T-zone still feels extremely dry, with or without it. Could it be because the main ingredients are water and glycerin? I'm trying to streamline my beauty routine, so I'm not using this heavy product... The PEGs make it hard to find other uses for it. Please remove the PEGs...
