The ultimate matte lip! Perfect for winter when you're all in black - it's packed with gorgeous shades. Can't resist that signature YSL red tint when it sets. Staying power is top-notch! The downside? Like most matte lips, it tends to highlight dead skin cells. Personally, I felt it smudged a bit too. I was searching for a muted dried rose or brick shade and decided to try it on before buying! It applies thinly and smoothly, allowing me to layer different color intensities. I often use it as a base by applying a thin layer. My lips tend to get dry frequently, but this doesn't become extremely matte, which I love. It seems to transfer easily, which is a bit inconvenient for someone like me who still wears a mask at work.

I absolutely trust Yves Saint Laurent's color palette! It's truly beautiful, and when I wore this to meet friends, they complimented me on how naturally pretty my lip color looked! I think it looks gorgeous on both warm and cool skin tones if you apply it with a nice gradient. I have super sensitive skin, so I'm usually very picky about lip products since I mostly just wear lipstick. But this one... I hope they keep making it until I die... as long as trends don't change in a weird direction. There's a reason YSL is so popular... I wish I had bought it sooner! I want to keep this all to myself! - Application: It applies smoothly and naturally, neither too bold nor too sheer. For someone like me with frequently dry lips, if I apply this without lip balm, it definitely cracks and dries out after a few hours. You really need to pay attention to lip moisture! It's also a problem that it comes off easily if I use it with lip balm. The color is really pretty, but... It's also disappointing that it's so thin and easy to break. (I took off one star because of the dryness!) My skin type: Dry/Sensitive If you apply a light layer of non-greasy lip balm, wait a few minutes, then lightly apply this, it seems much less drying! The fact that it comes off easily is just... unavoidable, I guess. Without lip balm, it does stay on well! But that's only for people with naturally good lip condition... For someone like me with deep dryness, I apply it frequently, accepting that it comes off. That's how pretty the color is... - The photos show (from the hand outward): 1. A different YSL line 2. Shade 302 (this product) 3. Shade 301 If you look closely, 302 seems to have a slightly warmer tone! When actually applied, 302 has a warmer color than 301. 
6v********Normal SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 17, 2022I'm not sure if I'm a warm tone or cool tone. The app says I'm a summer cool, but burgundy looks really good on me too. When I wear just this, everyone tells me my lips and color look absolutely gorgeous. There's nothing particularly disappointing about it. It has a matte velvet feel! This one looks beautiful when you apply it alone without mixing with other lip products and smudge the outer edges.
