My recent scalp condition includes seborrheic dermatitis and dry scalp prone to matting... It's been tough. After using a shampoo I won from a Hwahae event for an extended period, I developed seborrheic dermatitis, causing itching and discharge on my scalp... When I visited the salon, they said my scalp condition was quite poor. They recommended a scalp scaling treatment, but that seemed a bit too much for me. My usual A**** product wasn't covering it anymore, so I thought of this one. I've used it before without noticing significant benefits, but as I kept experiencing scalp blemishes, I decided to repurchase it during a sale. Being accustomed to natural shampoos, I think it lathers quite well for its type. The texture is like a brown gel with a subtle herbal scent that's not overpowering and dissipates quickly. Believing in its nourishing properties, I massage it into my scalp like a mask, and the results are quite good. While not completely gone, I'm scratching my scalp less, and there's significantly less oil production. When my scalp was at its worst, I had to wash my hair twice a day and still felt greasy and uncomfortable. Now, I can go every other day without issues. After about 3 weeks of use, I went back to the salon for a scalp check, and they confirmed my scalp condition had improved considerably. Since it addressed my main scalp issues, I don't have major complaints. It's an expensive shampoo, but with the large volume 1+1 deals, it lasts a while, and the ingredients seem to justify the price. However, I wouldn't say it has strong cleansing power. It feels more like a product that nourishes the scalp as a skin surface. Even after styling my hair and going out, or on days when I feel my hair is particularly dusty, washing with this doesn't give me that refreshing clean feeling. So I think it's better to pre-wash to remove dust from the hair first, then use this shampoo focusing on the scalp. The downside is that it feels a bit insufficient when used alone. In my case, I use a stronger cleansing product for the pre-wash, then use this shampoo to nourish the scalp as much as possible. I massage it in and leave it like a pack for a few minutes before rinsing. Sometimes I repeat if I feel it's necessary. One pump is enough for shoulder-length hair. Isoi occasionally has 1+1 deals, so it's worth watching out for those opportunities. It works great when used in combination with a scalp ampoule. - ma*********Combination SkinFeb 2, 2022
I tried this shampoo after it was recommended for strengthening hair roots Personally, I don't find the scent particularly appealing, and the cleansing effectiveness seems a bit weak - la*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresOct 7, 2021
I can't find a single positive thing to say. The only decent aspect was the herbal scent. After using this, my hair started falling out in clumps - literally shedding like crazy. I had to switch back to my L*H shampoo immediately. It has a strong medicinal smell and barely lathers. The texture is so thick that I couldn't even run my fingers through my hair to cleanse my scalp properly. Please, for your own sake, don't buy this. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedAug 10, 2021
I started using this due to stress-induced circular hair loss, and it's been great with no irritation. I've been purchasing it for years now, and as long as I manage my stress, my hair grows well. It's expensive and doesn't lather well when used. Given its high price, I have to shampoo twice each time. - le**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAug 21, 2020
As someone with an oily scalp, I usually start noticing scalp odor and oil buildup around 4-5 PM, even after shampooing in the morning. However, with this shampoo, while I still need to use conditioner due to my bleached and dyed hair feeling a bit stiff, I've noticed significantly less scalp odor and oil production. Though I can't say it's dramatically reduced hair fall, it seems to perform slightly better in this aspect compared to other shampoos I've tried. As mentioned earlier, since this is a scalp-focused shampoo without harsh ingredients, it does leave the hair feeling quite stiff. Even those with oily scalps will find a conditioner necessary. Rinsing can be a struggle due to how rigid the hair becomes. The lather isn't particularly rich - on days when my scalp is especially oily, I need to shampoo twice to get a good foam. The formula is also quite thin and runny, which makes application a bit inconvenient. Despite purchasing it as part of a buy-one-get-one-free deal, I'm hesitant about repurchasing. - gk********Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedFeb 22, 2020
I tried this shampoo first by getting a travel-sized pouch from the Isoi app before my trip. It was really great to use while traveling. After that, I got it when I visited the Isoi Hair Spa! So I decided to buy the full-size bottle. Personally, I love the herbal scent. It gives a healthy feeling. The ingredients are quite good. Although it doesn't have the cooling sensation like mint/peppermint shampoos, it makes my scalp feel comfortable. For this type of shampoo, it lathers well too. The price is on the higher side. If you don't like herbal scents, you might not enjoy this. The texture is more watery than expected, so it's best to work up a good lather by rubbing it between your palms before applying it to your scalp. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 3, 2020
Although it's a natural ingredient shampoo, it effectively removes excess oil and is gentle on the scalp. The scent has a traditional herbal feel, so it's not particularly fragrant. The scent is a bit disappointing. While it matches the texture and color of the product, if you don't use conditioner after shampooing, the fragrance... For thorough scalp care, it's best to use a shampoo with good ingredients for a light first wash, followed by a deep second cleanse. That's why I use Isoi products. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinOct 21, 2019
The best thing is that I can feel reassured due to the good ingredients. The scent, texture, lather, and cleansing effectiveness aren't bad either. While others say their scalp itching and seborrheic dermatitis improved after using this, on days I use this shampoo, my itching gets worse and my scalp feels drier. I do have seborrheic dermatitis, but I'm not sure if it's that severe. Even though they say the ingredients are good, the dryness and itching are so intense that I don't know what to do. I've looked through all the reviews to find someone with a similar experience, but everyone else seems to get good results. I'm wondering if my scalp condition is serious and if I should see a dermatologist. - mo**********Normal SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedOct 10, 2019
In terms of ingredients, I believe this has the best composition among all the anti-hair loss shampoos I've tried. The advantage is that it's a trustworthy product, free from commonly used sulfates, PEGs, fragrances, and colorants in shampoos, and it even uses natural preservatives. The texture is slightly runny, with a gel-like transparency similar to a cleansing gel. It has an herbal scent, but it's not overpowering. While it's not a product that lathers excessively, it leaves a refreshing feeling when used on the scalp. It's quite pricey for the amount you get. I know people who've seen positive results with this product, but also some who've experienced scalp blemishes (especially those prone to body heat), so it's important to review the ingredient list and consider if it's suitable for you. This shampoo tends to make hair feel a bit stiff, so you might need to use a conditioner to reduce hair fall when handling wet hair. Usage tip: As this product doesn't lather much, make sure to thoroughly wet your scalp with lukewarm water (for at least 2-3 minutes) before applying directly to the scalp. Purchasing advice: After trying the 250ml size, if it works for you, consider buying the 510ml larger size. ISOI products are more cost-effective in larger sizes. They also often have big sales twice a year with occasional buy-one-get-one-free offers, which is the best time to purchase. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinSep 3, 2019
After using it for 5 days, I feel like it's helping to wash away some of the oiliness from my hair. It's quite expensive and the bottle is too small. I need to use 3 pumps just to wash my short hair.
