Free from fragrances and dyes. There's a subtle scent, but it's not overpowering or immediately noticeable. If you concentrate, you might detect a slight aquatic plant aroma. Uses mild surfactants and is free from silicones and cocamidopropyl betaine. The ingredient list is relatively simple. It doesn't leave residue on skin areas that frequently come into contact with shampoo (shoulders, neck, forehead), preventing blemishes or severe dryness (redness and itching). After drying your hair thoroughly, it feels soft even without conditioner. Despite excluding potentially problematic ingredients, it worked well for me (unlike OGX 😭). I experienced no scalp issues like itching or inflammation. As someone with a dry scalp who can usually go three days without washing, I use this product alternately with Dove Sensitive for regular washes, and as a deep cleansing/clarifying shampoo when I notice buildup. Personally, I adapted quickly, but some might find it feels quite stiff while washing. For the first 2-3 uses, I regretted buying it, not understanding its characteristics. However, with frequent use, I noticed that while it feels stiff up until you rinse and dry your hair, once it's fully dry, any tangles loosen up and it becomes easy to brush with minimal effort. Although the ingredient list is simple, it does contain PEG and a few other components I'm not thrilled about. While I don't have allergies, I think improving these aspects would be beneficial. This shampoo might feel extremely stiff while rinsing and before completely drying with a hairdryer. But once fully dry, it becomes surprisingly soft. Although I don't often do things that cause hair damage, I've found that many SLS-free shampoos leave hair very stiff and difficult to brush. This one, however, was fine after completely drying. Some reviews mentioned a lack of lather, but maybe because I've used Dove soap for so long, I actually found this shampoo quite foamy. If you wet your hair thoroughly and use enough product, the lather seems adequate. While this shampoo isn't particularly drying after hair dries, I've occasionally found it a bit drying depending on the season and humidity. At those times, although I generally dislike using rinse or conditioner, I sometimes use a small amount. Every two weeks or monthly, I also do a treatment where I apply aloe to my scalp and a generous amount of hair treatment, then use a heating cap. It seems this shampoo requires adjusting your routine based on your hair and scalp condition. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 8, 2023
It's great for everyday use. The price isn't too high, and it's suitable for people of all ages and genders. I wouldn't recommend this for those with seborrheic dermatitis. The anti-dandruff option is better. I switched to this after getting tired of using anti-dandruff shampoo, but it makes my scalp itchy when I use it. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedFeb 10, 2023
It's great for sensitive scalps and effectively tackles blemishes. I've noticed a significant reduction in scalp oiliness. After shampooing, my hair feels a bit stiff. Other than that, I'm satisfied. - pu********Combination SkinAcne SkinJun 18, 2022
I can't seem to find any positives. The anti-dandruff version was decent, but this one is disappointing. My hair is falling out excessively. The next day, it feels like I'm losing about 20 strands every time I touch my hair. Results may vary, but I wouldn't recommend this product. - po******Oily SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedAug 2, 2021
- Rich, fluffy lather with just a small amount of product - Powerful cleansing effectiveness that leaves you feeling like even the residual oils on your scalp are thoroughly washed away - Slows down the rate at which oiliness returns after washing - Personally, I'm also satisfied with the fragrance - Slightly disappointing accessibility - I wish more people could use this great shampoo! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSep 22, 2020
It doesn't leave an oily residue. But if you buy this in Korea, you'd be getting ripped off! The price? Laughable! I'm glad I received it as a gift. In Korea, it costs nearly 2.5 times more! It barely lathers, so you need to use a lot. The quantity isn't generous either. And the scent doesn't even last long. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedSep 18, 2020
I bought a large size at Costco. The lather is rich, the scent is pleasant, and most importantly, it reduced the oiliness in my hair. I've been struggling with blemishes and excess oil on my scalp lately, but using this along with the Dandruff and Everyday shampoos has really helped. The cleansing effectiveness is also great. If I had to point out a downside, it does make your hair feel a bit stiff, so you definitely need to use conditioner or a hair treatment afterward. - nj*****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 29, 2020
Being mildly acidic, it definitely seems to cause less irritation. While it doesn't produce a lot of lather, its cleansing effectiveness is quite impressive. It seems to make my hair a bit stiff. However, this isn't a major drawback as using a conditioner alongside should solve the issue. - gh******Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 22, 2020
It produces less scalp odor compared to other products. I like it. It doesn't lather well. While it reduces scalp odor when used at the end, it lacks fragrance. If you want your hair to smell nice, you'll need to use a different shampoo on the lengths or use another product, which is disappointing. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedApr 7, 2020
My sensitive husband always had a flaky scalp with lots of dead skin cells, but after using Sebamed shampoo, the improvement in scalp condition is remarkable. It's excellent for reducing scalp itchiness. We've been using it for 5 months now. The large size often sells out quickly, and the smaller size is quite pricey. However, its effectiveness makes it a product worth seeking out despite the cost. If you're dealing with severe dead skin cells, using Sebamed's anti-dandruff product in combination works wonders.
