I'd like to preface this by saying I only used this product for cleansing, not for removing makeup. 1. Reason for purchase: I thought I had oily skin, but it turns out I have combination dehydrated skin. After learning this, I switched from my previous cleanser (recommended for oily skin) to this one, which was featured in Director Pi's skincare routine for combination dehydrated skin. 2. Fragrance: True to its name, it has a slightly nutty scent. However, it's so subtle that you won't really notice it unless you're deliberately smelling the product or applying it right under your nose. I personally enjoyed this mild, nutty aroma - it was a refreshing change from strong floral scents. 3. Cleansing effectiveness: Since I only used it to wash away oil, dead skin cells, and sebum, I can't speak to how well it removes makeup. Despite my severe combination dehydrated skin, there was almost no feeling of tightness after patting my face dry. It felt like it only removed excess oil, which I really appreciated. 4. Texture and application: The foam wasn't as dense as my previous cleanser, but this actually made it less irritating and easier to wash off. The lighter texture allowed for a gentler, more convenient cleansing experience. 5. If I had to nitpick: I bought the 120ml size, which seems a bit small - are we supposed to apply it to our noses only? Haha! While the price is reasonable when you buy two as a set for around 10,000 won, the small size of each tube makes me feel a bit stingy when using it. I noticed there's a larger 220ml size available, so I might try that next time. Overall, this cleanser works hard to maintain the oil and moisture balance of combination dehydrated skin. It cleanses effectively without stripping the skin, leaving your complexion feeling fresh and comfortable. The fragrance is lovely when washing my face, making me feel like I'm getting a thorough cleanse. Its slightly sticky texture is great for lathering up. I can't think of any downsides. It's just rice makgeolli, so the scent might be pleasant to some and unusual to others - it's a matter of personal preference. This cleanser seems to have a unique rice wine-inspired scent that adds a pleasant sensory experience to the cleansing routine. The texture appears to be well-suited for effective cleansing, though the fragrance might not appeal to everyone. The rice ingredient seems to give it a gentle feel on the skin. It didn't feel like it had exceptional cleansing effectiveness. I do double cleanse, though.

I'm not usually sensitive to scents, but this has a rice water or makgeolli-like smell that might be off-putting if you're sensitive to fragrances. I didn't find it particularly impressive. I later found out that this brand was launched by Samyang Corporation, based in Pangyo. Knowing it's from a fairly large company gives me more confidence in its safety and quality.

I've been using this for two months now. It lathers up nicely with rich foam and is gentle enough for all skin types. The overall experience is decent in every aspect, but the scent isn't particularly appealing.
