Holy moly! This is my holy grail cushion foundation! The coverage is absolutely incredible. It completely masks any redness and the staying power is out of this world. I'm usually out for about 11 hours between school and academy, and when I get back, it looks exactly the same as when I first applied it - not a single sign of fading. This is truly a game-changing cushion! The transfer was really disappointing. Everything else about it was good though. When applying this cushion foundation, make sure to set it with a light powder to minimize transfer. For those with combination dehydrated skin, you might want to use a hydrating primer underneath to ensure the best results. - Hwahae UserOily SkinApr 30, 2025
The coverage was quite high, I'd say medium to full. The ivory-like shade it applied was really beautiful. It tends to transfer quite a bit and doesn't adhere well to the skin. I wouldn't recommend this for those with oily skin types. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 7, 2025
I've been using this for a month now and it's exactly what I was looking for - a cushion that doesn't look obvious but still covers blemishes. The slightly darker shade gives a natural look, which I love. The coverage is excellent! While the coverage is good, I noticed some transfer after applying my full makeup. Also, it leans towards a darker shade, so those who prefer a brighter complexion might be a bit disappointed. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinFeb 21, 2025
I've been using this for about 3-4 months. I was a cushion nomad, trying everything from Clio to Espoir, Banila Co, and Etude, but I think I've finally settled with the Javin de Seoul cushion. It's matte, so if you have a solid skincare base, it doesn't slide off. I even used this cushion when going to school. The staying power is great - I only need to touch up once during lunch break at school. The coverage is also good. My dark circles are quite prominent, but with a bit of concealer on top, my skin looks flawless. I didn't really notice any darkening either. With other cushions, I'd often see darkening quite quickly, but with this one, there wasn't much difference between when I left for school and when I came home. It's not completely transfer-proof. When I apply powder with a puff, it transfers a bit, and even when I do contouring after powder, you can see it lifting slightly. Even with a thin application, there's still some transfer. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJan 3, 2025
The coverage is medium to high. It's great for combination to dry skin types. The staying power is excellent, and there's hardly any darkening. Among all the cushions I've used so far, this might be my holy grail product. Compared to other cushions, the shade runs a bit darker, so I'd recommend going half a shade lighter. There's some transfer, and after a while, it can settle slightly into smile lines. The coverage is excellent and it gives a beautiful skin finish. I have blemish-prone skin, and I've been using and loving this product for a long time. Many recent products don't feel sticky and don't transfer easily. This one, however, does transfer a bit and doesn't have a powdery finish. Instead, it feels more moisturizing with a hydrating effect. I recommend choosing a shade that's one tone lighter than your natural complexion. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 18, 2024
Remember, this review is based on my personal experience! The Javin de Seoul Wink Cushion has excellent coverage and staying power. With proper skincare, it covers pores so well you might not even need a primer. It creates a beautiful complexion and even if it does break down, it does so gracefully without looking unsightly or causing patchiness. When touching up, the semi-matte formula applies in a thin layer, making it look fresh and seamless - not completely undetectable, but very clean and pretty. It's a cushion that could work well year-round for oily, combination dehydrated, and normal to oily skin types. The adherence could be better as it tends to transfer a bit. After some time, when oils start to come through, even the lightest touch can cause transfer. Right after application, pressing with a tissue or mask showed significant transfer. Unless you can avoid touching your face completely, you'll need powder and setting spray. Also, personally, I find the case design a bit outdated. For context, despite having oily skin, I apply very hydrating skincare before makeup, so please keep that in mind. Regarding the shade (based on #21), the color comes out slightly duller or darker than expected for a cushion. I recommend watching YouTube reviews or testing it before purchasing. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 12, 2023
I've been repurchasing this for 3 years now. Even with a quick application, it adheres well to the skin and provides decent coverage. It's quite similar to Jung Saem Mool's foundation! Jung Saem Mool's is a bit thicker with more coverage though. It tends to darken and transfer a bit. Setting powder is a must! The amount also seems a bit on the smaller side. If you use Javind Seoul's Wink Foundation, you'll love the generous amount you get. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 14, 2023
First off, my skin type is acne-prone, especially on the cheeks and chin. It's oily but deeply dehydrated. I've tried everything from Clio to Too Cool for School and other brands I can't even remember - glowy, semi-matte, matte, you name it. But I could never settle on one... until this came along. It's my holy grail! The texture is slightly semi-matte. The coverage is seriously impressive. On busy days, I often just slap this on and go. Even in summer, I can apply this over just toner and moisturizer without it looking cakey. When it does start to wear off, it fades gracefully. I'm going to use this forever, I absolutely love it! Other brands often sell the main product and refill together for around $30 or less, but this one is $28 for just the main product at Olive Young. Plus, the amount is less. Also, if you're not careful with how much pressure you apply when using the cushion, you can end up with way too much product (more so than other brands). I use shade 21, but it seems a bit dark - you might need to go half to one shade lighter than your usual. If you lightly pat some powder over this, it doesn't transfer to your mask at all! I've lost my main product, so I only have a photo of the refill (that's why I have one main product and two refills on the way). Here's a tip to buy this cheaper: On the 'W Concept' app, it's discounted from $28 to $22. For refills, if you apply a coupon, you can get 2 for $27. They give out coupons frequently! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 13, 2023
Coverage: Medium to high. While it may not provide perfect coverage for slightly reddish acne marks, it feels natural when lightly patted on, offering decent coverage overall. Application: Excellent. It has a semi-matte formula that initially applies matte but develops a slight glow as it mixes with skin oils over time. There's no pilling issue. It suited my skin well from the first purchase, and I'm considering repurchasing! The packaging is cute, and the skin-like texture on the product surface allows for easy dispensing. This prevents over-application and enables just the right amount of product use. While I love the semi-matte formula and it's a great product for me as I'm not fond of overly matte finishes, those with opposite preferences might not enjoy it as much. Also, while it doesn't transfer heavily onto masks, there is some transfer. For improved application, use it with a hydrating sunscreen!
