I use this every single day, and I'm not exaggerating - it's the real deal! When I apply a thin layer with a spatula and then pat it in with a puff, it honestly lasts all day long. The absorption isn't the greatest, so it's quite challenging to apply with your hands. You also need to be really careful with how much you use. If you overdo it, you'll end up looking like a ghost. To get the best results, try using a makeup tool for application instead of your fingers. This will help with the absorption issues and give you more control over the amount you're using. Remember, a little goes a long way with this product! - 6k********Dehydrated SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 4, 2025
I was pleasantly surprised by how moisturizing it was, as I expected it to be thick and heavy. As someone with a really dark complexion, I love how this brightens my skin, making it perfect for a natural, bare-faced look. It's great for preventing darkening too. This product is top-notch! One downside is that it's a bit tricky to apply evenly, especially for someone like me who struggles with smooth application. This brightening moisturizer works hard to even out skin tone and give a natural glow. It absorbs well without feeling sticky, making it ideal for daily use. For those with combination dehydrated skin or super sensitive skin, this product helps balance oil and moisture while providing hydration without irritation. - ha*******Combination SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 31, 2025
The right side is where I applied it! It definitely brightens the skin tone and has SPF, so you could use it as a sunscreen substitute before makeup. It's a bit thick... Those with dry skin might want to avoid this one. - ss*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessMay 25, 2025
The purple tint is perfect for neutralizing yellow undertones Incredible staying power Leaves a lovely matte finish The ingredients... It's fine for occasional use, but frequent application can lead to breakouts It seems to clog pores, which is likely the cause... If they could just fix that, it would be great, especially considering the affordable price Try mixing a bit of this with foundations that have a yellow undertone for a brighter, more radiant look - an****Dry SkinDark CirclesInner DrynessDead Skin CellsMay 13, 2025
The Hwahae Testers were able to effectively brighten my dull, yellowish complexion, which was better than simply using a bright foundation. The skin feels soft and smooth, but it also has a slightly dry sensation, and there are a few blemishes. - 6r********Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 1, 2025
The size is smaller than expected and the color is like paint... So you really need to apply just a little. I thought cushions that used to look cakey didn't suit me, but it turns out I wasn't using a base! When I use this and then apply cushion foundation, it doesn't cake at all and adheres perfectly! Why didn't I buy this before? It's less than 30,000 won on Coupang. The price is totally worth it too. You should get it right away! There aren't many downsides, but the color is quite intense and paint-like... Apply sparingly! If you apply too much, it might look cakey or make you appear extremely pale - ky*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 28, 2025
I recently purchased and tried this product, and I'm quite satisfied. My skin has a slightly yellowish tinge, so I bought this to achieve a more radiant look. The application isn't super smooth, but if you think of it as applying a mineral sunscreen, it's not bad at all. I personally applied it with my hands and then patted it in with a puff sprayed with toner. If there's one downside, as those who've used brightening moisturizers before would know, it's the dryness. I found that if you apply a solid base of skincare products beforehand and then pat it in with a toner-soaked puff, the dryness becomes more manageable. - ga********Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 11, 2025
An absolute must-have for warm-toned skin with yellow undertones! I have a deep undertone between shades 22-23. In other words, shade 21 is too light, and 23 is too dark for my tricky complexion. Usually, I'd buy two foundations and mix them, but that's such a hassle and a waste. That's where this product comes in handy! When you blend this lavender color with a yellow-based shade 23 foundation, it subtly neutralizes the yellow tones while brightening, resulting in a truly beautiful color! This product mixes smoothly, absorbs well, and has become one of my favorites. It even looks pretty when applied on its own. If you have a similar complexion to mine, don't fall victim to the ashy look from brightening moisturizers or pink-based products. Make sure to mix in this lavender shade! I'm planning to repurchase, especially given its wallet-friendly price. There wasn't anything I particularly disliked. I just hope it doesn't get discontinued. - a0**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 6, 2025
It's affordable and works well for most people. After skincare, apply this as a makeup base before foundation, and you won't experience any darkening! The texture is quite thick, so it doesn't spread evenly on its own. Using a spatula helps to apply it more uniformly. - ah*********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinApr 5, 2025
A nostalgic treasure from my past... All my peers undoubtedly had the purple and green versions. I couldn't resist buying it when I spotted it recently, stirring up old memories. The scent, which tends to divide opinions, remains exactly as I remember. It's wonderful how it brings back those cherished memories! To be honest, it's quite thick and leaves the skin feeling dry. These days, there are many better options from Maybelline, so I'd recommend trying something else. However, for nostalgia's sake, I'm giving it four stars. Since it's quite thick, I found it works better when mixed with a hydrating moisturizer or a moisturizing sunscreen. That makes it more manageable.
