After applying the product thinly, it is then layered on thickly on top. The scars definitely fade quickly and subside fast. It is a spot serum, but it can be applied to the entire face, which I find to be even better. The only downside is that it stings a little at first when it comes into contact with blemishes. Apart from that, this has been very effective for my acne, so I'm planning to purchase the full-size product as well. The texture is dense yet non-sticky.
