I've been using this since late 2022, and it doesn't cake if you prep your skin well. There's minimal darkening, and it stays put nicely if you control oil throughout the day.

I had high hopes after hearing about its reputation for creating a dewy and beautiful complexion. While it didn't work for me, it was a holy grail product for my friend with oily skin!

Rather than giving a pretty glow, it just looked oily... that was disappointing

Although I have dry skin, I usually prefer a semi-matte finish. However, I wanted something for winter use, and now that I'm in my 30s, I've noticed a dewy face looks more attractive. So I tried this from the beginning.

Now, many people praise it as a holy grail hydrating cushion and always recommend it, but honestly... I wonder if it's really that great? I'm on my second refill, but if asked to buy it again... I'm not so sure.

It does make the skin look pretty, but I don't think the shade matches me well (even 23 seems to be on the lighter side).

No matter how easy it is to touch up, all cushions seem to perform equally poorly against sweat. Once you sweat and wipe it off, it just doesn't stay on unless you remove it during touch-ups.

If you're looking for a light-colored cushion that gives a dewy, hydrated look to your skin, I would still recommend this one!

1. Product always settles into the creases around my nose over time (even with primer).
2. When it starts to break down, it doesn't do so gracefully - certain areas tend to clump together.
3. Being a hydrating cushion, it's prone to leaving fingerprints and attracting dust (in areas without powder).
4. If you don't set areas other than your cheeks with powder, it's very annoying as hair tends to stick to the product.

The oxidation is quite severe. When I come back after being out, the color has noticeably darkened.

The color I got is the versatile shade 23.
However, it does oxidize quite a bit, so next time I'll go for shade 21.

I thought I had used it all up, but when I flipped the mesh, I found more product.
If you think you've finished it or notice very little product coming out on the puff, try using tweezers to flip the mesh over. You'll find a moist layer of foundation. I thought I needed to buy a new one, but I'm still using it... haha!

The amount is quite small... I'm almost out of it even though I don't wear heavy makeup.

I have combination skin leaning towards dry. My skin is sensitive and prone to blemishes, but not quite acne-prone, so I'd say my skin is generally in good condition. 

I don't wear much makeup to begin with, so I use cushion foundations just for light coverage and evening out my skin tone. As I'm not very skilled at applying makeup, I struggle with products that go on too thick. This one, however, applies smoothly and looks natural, which I love. I read somewhere that the more you pat it in, the more natural glow it gives - there might be some truth to that. I sweat a lot, so I probably can't use it in summer, but it works great in dry winter weather! As long as I cleanse properly, it doesn't cause any blemishes. I was surprised to see so many ingredients listed on Hwahae though!

Recommended if you want a natural glow.

A word of caution - it can pill if you layer too many skincare products underneath. That's to be expected though.

Also, if you build up too many layers, it can look a bit heavy. I recommend using less product and building up gradually for the best results.

I wanted to try a hydrating cushion, but since I have very oily skin, it ended up looking too shiny as time passed. While the hydration is nice, I think it might be hit or miss for those with extremely oily skin like mine.

While it doesn't cover redness or blemishes at all, it's incredibly effective at concealing pores and uneven texture. It's easy to touch up, doesn't cake, and looks great. However, due to its tendency to get oily, I probably won't repurchase once I finish this refill. If you're looking for a cushion that gives you a natural, bare-faced look while just covering your pores, you won't regret trying this one!

It has a very shiny, oily look. The color also makes your face appear darker. I'd recommend it if you're mainly using it for coverage, but I wouldn't suggest it as an everyday cushion to carry around.

The natural and dewy coverage is great. However, it's not quite as good as advertised.
