When I applied it before bed, I woke up to noticeably softer skin the next morning.
ConsIf you use too much, it can pill like dead skin cells. For my skin that leans towards oily, it felt a bit heavy. It has that typical barrier cream feel with a slightly rich texture.

I bought this product because it claims to restore the skin barrier function and improve itchiness. It's effective in reducing itching when my skin gets inexplicably itchy and red! The formula contains small beads, which are moisturizing capsules, but they don't cause any irritation when applied. It absorbs quickly and has a smooth application.
ConsPossibly due to dimethicone being high up in the ingredients list, it can pill if you apply too much at once. This is less noticeable if you control the amount and apply small quantities multiple times. While it goes on smoothly, some might find it a bit slippery depending on personal preference.
TipTo prevent pilling, apply thin layers and build up gradually.

And they were right - the moisturizing power is truly impressive! Even with just a small amount, my skin doesn't feel dry for hours. When I apply it in the evening, I wake up in the morning without any feeling of tightness in my skin. This seems to be an excellent product for those with extremely dry skin.
ConsThe quantity is... really, really small. Also, if you don't let it absorb properly, it can pill up like dead skin cells... I was quite shocked! Other than that, I don't have any particular complaints.
TipApply a small amount as the final step in your skincare routine and make sure it absorbs well! You need to apply it carefully to prevent pilling.

When you massage it in, you can see the FILA SEED beads that are responsible for moisturizing. That's probably why it feels so wonderfully hydrating! Usually, with moisturizing creams, you expect them to be thick for good hydration, but this product is quite fluid yet still provides excellent moisture. Gently massaging it in allows the beads to melt smoothly, leaving your skin feeling thoroughly moisturized all over. 2. Great ingredients. While there are many creams with good ingredients these days, I'm really grateful for this level of hydration with such a great formula! It's also fragrance-free, so I could apply it without any worries.
Cons1. Pilling issues. It might be a bit challenging to use as a day cream. To be honest, I'm not a fan of using separate day and night creams, but I was so satisfied with it as a night treatment that I tried using it in the morning too. However, I noticed some pilling with my foundation, and in some areas, it balled up like dead skin. This is something you might want to keep in mind! 2. Potential breakouts. I'm not sure if it's because of this cream, but around the third day of use, I developed blemishes on the upper bridge of my nose and the cheek area next to my nose - places where I don't usually get breakouts. It was a bit surprising since I don't typically have acne-prone skin. However, with continued use, I didn't experience any additional breakouts.
TipInstead of applying a thick layer all at once, it's much more effective for long-lasting hydration if you layer it on thinly.

I have oily skin, but in fall and winter, my skin tends to feel quite tight. (I periodically get blemishes and take medication for them.) Products with shea butter or olive oil don't seem to agree with me, causing blemishes and feeling heavy, like they're just sitting on my skin. So I was always on the hunt for the right cream. Then I discovered the original version, which I bought in winter 2020 and used well year-round. In midsummer, I applied just a very thin layer. I only use it for evening skincare as it can pill if applied to bare skin. The texture is between an emulsion and a cream. Compared to the first generation, the second generation feels a bit thicker but more fluid. If the first generation was like a somewhat transparent glycerin texture, the second is less transparent but slightly more fluid? But there's not a huge difference. To cut to the chase, I'm 100% going to repurchase. They say the second generation has improved hydration, and as someone who found the first generation a bit lacking for the current season, I find the second generation suits me better. Although it's more hydrating than the first generation, it's not overly rich. It feels a bit more elastic (but not heavy). There's no dramatic difference compared to the first generation. I'd recommend it to those who liked the first generation or those with oily skin who don't do well with shea butter. As I mentioned above, most hydrating products contain shea butter or olive oil, which don't work for me, so finding a good moisturizer was really difficult. I highly recommend trying this if you have similar skin to mine. It has a slightly oily feel, but it's not suffocating. => For those with oily skin looking for hydration, I recommend applying a thin layer.
ConsCons: I was using the large size without even realizing it had been discontinued, so... If I really had to pick something, maybe the pilling? But since I use it in the evening, it's not a significant drawback for me. However, those who are sensitive to pilling should keep this in mind.
