I also bought a lip balm, and although it was expensive, I thought it would be good since it was pricey. The formula is not sticky, so it applies comfortably without any inconvenience.
ConsIt's not sticky and applies moisturizing, but the lasting power is weak. It's too expensive..

As I tend to have a lot of lip flakes, it applies thickly to help. It's not as rich as pig fat, but it has a glossy finish. It applies smoothly and has a faint sweet coconut-like scent that dissipates quickly, so there's no irritation and no stickiness.
ConsThe downside of the Aesop lip balm may be the price. It's not dramatically more moisturizing than a regular lip balm, so I probably won't buy it for myself, though I'm grateful to receive it as a gift.
TipApplying the lip balm as part of my skincare routine before doing my makeup helps to calm down the flakiness a bit.
