The fragrance has amazing staying power. If you take your time, it does lather well, but it requires some effort and patience. The cleansing effectiveness is... well, if you're not thorough, it might leave residue on your scalp, which could cause itching. But honestly, that's pretty common with most shampoos.

At first, there's a hint of light coffee aroma, but to me, it's a sweet scent that reminds me of almonds every time I shampoo. Using it with the matching treatment makes me feel great all day long. It's a good idea to stock up when it's on sale (I bought 2 shampoos and 1 treatment during a roulette event discount). After shampooing, I usually apply lots of treatments, essences, perm emulsions, etc. Maybe that's why I don't get much lather with just one wash, and it feels like my scalp isn't getting thoroughly cleansed. So I've been shampooing twice, which means I'm going through bottles pretty quickly. I wish they'd make a hair essence with the same fragrance. The scent is so good that when I use a floral hair essence, it clashes and smells strange. I'm almost ready to give up using hair essence altogether because of this.
