  Pros

  As I embarked on my zero-waste journey, I switched from shampoo and body wash to soap. I tried this product because it claimed to be an all-in-one solution. Using it as shampoo, I found it performed just as well as any other shampoo. While there was a slight stiffness to my hair, it wasn't noticeable after drying, possibly due to my oily scalp.

  Cons

  Initially, I missed that squeaky-clean feeling after showering. Also, the soap's scent was quite strong when washing my face. If you're not a fan of Dove's signature fragrance or the residual feeling it leaves, this product might not be for you.

  Tip

  This is a product I'd recommend to zero-waste beginners. It can become a bit soft and mushy in summer, so make sure to keep it dry. It's particularly great for use during the winter months.

  Pros

  I really appreciated that it wasn't drying. Usually, my calves get super dry and itchy in winter, but I didn't experience any of that with this product.

  Cons

  Oh my, the fragrance is way too strong. It's like having an overpowering air freshener in the bathroom. It's such a shame they've added such an intense scent to a product with great ingredients like shea butter. Even after some time, the soapy smell doesn't fade much and lingers for ages. My elementary school-aged child even complained of a sore nose from it.

  Pros

  First off, the lather is incredibly soft. While I haven't tried a wide variety of soaps, this one has a pleasantly firm texture. The expiration date was also reasonable, giving enough time to use up a four-pack from the supermarket. When used on my feet, it left them comfortably moisturized.

  Cons

  Unfortunately, my skin texture issues resurfaced. The scent was overwhelmingly strong at first use, and later developed an unpleasant alcoholic undertone. When used on the body, it left an oily residue, and on the face, it felt like it didn't rinse off completely. The T-zone pores remained as oily as before, as if the soap hadn't even touched them. I ended up using it just on my feet, but it actually worsened the dead skin cells there.
