I have combination dehydrated skin with shade 21! The main reason I bought this product was to combat darkening. No matter which cushion or foundation I used, my face would look dull and darken over time, which was a big concern for me. That's when I discovered this product. If you apply a thin layer of this before your usual cushion/foundation, it definitely evens out your skin tone and prevents darkening! I also have redness, but since this is a green primer, it helps neutralize that too. It gives an overall brightening effect to the whole face! So if you're aiming for that milky, peach-like clear complexion, using this product before your makeup will definitely make your face appear brighter! As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I struggle with deep dryness. No matter how well I prep my skin, when I apply this product alone, my skin feels parched. So I absolutely wouldn't recommend this for those with extremely dry skin! When I use this product, I make sure to really focus on my skincare routine beforehand and apply it very thinly with a damp, hydrated puff. Keep that in mind! Apart from the drying effect, it's an amazing product. I'll continue using it, and next time I plan to try the pink version! If you build it up in thin layers using a damp, hydrated puff, you can achieve a beautiful skin finish without any pilling! - ju***********Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedNov 6, 2024
The coverage is top-notch! I loved how it effectively concealed redness. You'll need to make sure your base skincare is solid though. It's quite drying and sets too quickly, making it a bit challenging to blend. You have to apply and pat it in section by section. Oddly enough, it shows as discontinued on Hwahae, but it's still available on Coupang. Just focus on a solid skincare base. Try dampening your puff with water or mist before patting it in. - is*****Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedApr 25, 2024
It's incredibly green! That means it's definitely effective for correcting redness and evening out the complexion... I liked that it didn't make my skin excessively pale. However, it doesn't absorb as smoothly, so it's a bit tricky to control the amount. I don't think it's a major issue though. Considering the price and quantity, I think it's great value for money. I highly recommend this product for those who struggle with facial redness and aren't confident in their base makeup skills! When I come home in the evening to remove my makeup, I notice my face is still bright. But as soon as I wipe it off, I'm greeted by my rosy-cheeked reflection in the mirror... You really need to be careful with the amount you apply. It's fine with primer, but as soon as you layer foundation on top, it becomes dry... - me******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 15, 2024
I bought this after seeing so many great reviews. It seems to apply well with a sponge, but... hmm... You really need to prep your skin well for it to look decent. Might be okay for those with naturally good skin... It didn't really suit me, maybe because I have slightly yellow-toned skin. It does brighten a bit, but it's a more unnatural brightness compared to a brightening moisturizer. Also, while I don't usually have super sensitive skin, I got blemishes right after using this... I'm not sure if it's because I've only used it a few times, but it just didn't work for me. I'll have to experiment with different application methods to see if I can make it work. After using it for over a week: You really need to prep your skin extremely well for it to look somewhat okay... Otherwise, it looks patchy. If you have a slightly darker complexion, it might make you look ashy. If you mix a small amount with your usual sunscreen, BB cream, or other products, it brightens your complexion by one shade and reduces patchiness. - tl*******Combination SkinDark CirclesRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJan 31, 2024
I bought this to cover the redness on larger areas of my face, like my cheeks and forehead. The amount is just right - one squeeze is enough for the whole face. There is a scent, but it didn't bother me personally. If you're sensitive to fragrances, I'd recommend smelling it in person before purchasing. As this was my first time using a primer, I'm not sure what the typical texture should be, but this product felt a bit dry. When applied thinly with a spatula, it covers redness naturally. Rather than thinking of it as a redness corrector, it's better to approach it as a primer with some color-correcting properties. It dries and sets quickly, so I'd suggest applying it over a well-moisturized base and patting it in with a mist-sprayed puff for better adherence. This product might be more suitable for those with oily skin rather than dry, and for those prioritizing primer effects over redness coverage. - je**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinSep 25, 2023
Decent for brightening the complexion. Its lightweight formula allows for a natural, 'no-makeup' look when applied. It can pill when applying, so you need to be careful with the amount used. I couldn't feel any primer-like effects, so I only use it occasionally for evening out my skin tone. - ql*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresSep 2, 2023
The green tint is great for concealing redness. I often get blemishes and have many marks from them, but when I apply this base before foundation or cushion, my skin looks more even overall. I use it frequently because it gives a polished look to my complexion. It also brightens my skin tone by about one shade. Foundation or cushion applies beautifully on top of it. However, its performance as a primer is just so-so. I didn't really notice any improvement in pore coverage or makeup longevity. Maybe it's because my pores are quite large, but I found the pore-covering ability disappointing. I think it would have been better if they marketed it as a brightening moisturizer rather than a primer. Another downside is that it's drying. Even though I have combination dehydrated skin, I could feel my skin getting progressively drier after application. It also tends to settle slightly into fine lines around the eyes and nose. I imagine those with dry skin might find it very dehydrating. Personally, I won't be repurchasing. - 15****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsAug 21, 2023
✅ Effective for blemishes + scars, pores + combination dehydrated skin + sensitive and atopic skin ✅ 1. Capable of covering redness - Given its color, it effectively conceals redness Everything else. Unusable if you have large pores. No matter how much you apply, it pills or clumps, and regardless of application method, it severely accentuates pores, making it difficult to use. I'm currently using VDL cushion and bought this intentionally because it seemed well-reviewed among color primers, but I gave up after a few tries. Only purchase if you have good skin with some redness - co*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJul 11, 2023
It's not too rich, doesn't leave a cakey finish, and does a great job evening out the skin tone If you apply too much, it can clump up. Use a moderate amount for a natural look - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinMay 11, 2023
It really brightens up your complexion! The formula is lightweight and spreads easily, so a little goes a long way. If you don't prep your skin properly, it can pill and look patchy. It also emphasizes pores. The green tint is especially noticeable on the nose, which can be quite embarrassing. Additional note: I've been experiencing inflamed, red acne that's been forming deep under the skin, along with small bumps in unusual areas. It's been itchy and red, and I wasn't sure if it was due to my menstrual cycle, a new sunscreen cushion, or this product. Now I'm certain - it's because of this product. I tested it for three weeks: one week bare-faced, one week with just sunscreen cushion, and one week with only this product. There were no additional inflammatory reactions during the bare-faced and sunscreen-only weeks. But as soon as I used this product, I immediately developed a red, purulent acne on my chin. It wasn't a regular whitehead, but a deep, painful inflammation that I couldn't even touch. Then, after skipping a day and trying it again, by the afternoon I had another severe inflammatory reaction - itchy and red - in an unusual spot near the bridge of my nose. It's driving me crazy. I haven't been using this product for long, but my skin has completely flared up, leaving significant hyperpigmentation. It's a nightmare. I've had to schedule an appointment with a dermatologist. After patting it in well, it gives a radiant finish, so don't squeeze out too much thinking it's not enough. If you apply too much, you might end up looking like a ghost!
