1. Texture True to its nature as a shake-to-use hydrating BB cream, it has a fluid, moisture-rich consistency. As someone who usually prefers a matte finish, I was worried the glow might be excessive, but it turned out to be natural and just right for a fresh complexion. However, when I used it alone, I finished with a light dusting of powder to prevent any potential breakdown or darkening. 2. Coverage When applied with fingers, it blends well and offers decent coverage. While it doesn't completely conceal blemishes or marks, it naturally covers uneven texture and pores. In fact, I found it more effective at minimizing the appearance of pores compared to foundation or cushion products. 3. Complexion I typically use shade 21 and have a reddish undertone, so I prefer yellow-based products. Products with mismatched tones tend to darken on my skin. This product, however, matched my skin well without significant darkening. Usually, BB creams tend to make your face look dull by the afternoon due to darkening, but the BR Water-full BB cream doesn't do that, which I really appreciate. 1. Scent It has an aromatic scent reminiscent of orange peel. While some might enjoy it, I'm not a fan of added fragrances in skincare. It felt somewhat artificial to me. The scent might be a hit or miss for different people. 2. Skin Reaction Some users reported breakouts after using this product. Recently, I've experienced a few painful blemishes after using this BB cream. I'm not sure if it's due to the seasonal change causing dryness or a recent change in my toner. As someone with super sensitive skin, the potential for breakouts is a major concern. Despite liking how it feels on the skin, I'm hesitant to use it regularly. I've temporarily stopped using it and plan to try again once my skin settles down. Given my sensitive skin, those with more resilient skin types might not face these issues! For BB creams, I find that applying with your fingers gives the most natural finish and best coverage. I highly recommend using your hands to apply! - Hwahae UserOily SkinSep 29, 2022
I finish by setting it with powder. As long as there's no excessive heat or oil on the skin, it adheres well. 5. Longevity I only have a lot of oil on my nose, so after some time, it starts to settle a bit into the pores and has a slight breakdown. Quickly blotting with a tissue helps. The cheek area gets a bit dry after 5-6 hours (possibly due to the powder), but it doesn't break down. I've worn it for about 9 hours a few times, and I rarely felt the need to touch it up. There was one day where the heat on my philtrum was too intense, so when I tried to blot it with a tissue, the product came off. In that case, I removed it completely with lotion and reapplied, and it went on well again. 6. Cleansing I tried washing it off with soap on the back of my hand, and then wiped it with a lip and eye remover, and there was a bit of transfer. This indicates the need for a thorough two-step cleansing. 7. Portability Personally, I'm satisfied with this aspect as the size is not too large, making it convenient to carry around. The reason I gave up on foundation cushions is also why I can't completely avoid BB creams. No matter how well I cleanse, having the product on my face all day still leads to some gradual breakouts. ㅠㅠ To avoid oil shine, use a sponge. For better coverage, apply with your hands. If it starts to cling and crack due to excessive heat, it's better to completely remove it with a cotton swab dipped in lotion and reapply. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinNov 28, 2017
It applies smoothly and evenly I bought it with a foundation, and the BB cream applies naturally while the foundation has good coverage When you shake it and squeeze it out, it looks dark, but when you apply it to your face, it brightens up It doesn't come off even after touch-ups Since I have combination skin, it gets darker in the afternoon.. I usually don't wear much makeup, but after using this, a few months later, I started getting small bumps and inflammatory acne, so I've been going to a dermatologist. They asked if I changed my skincare products 5-6 months ago...creepy... It causes pigmentation and made me have to wear more makeup, and I didn't know this was the culprit I didn't know it had acne-causing ingredients... Now, even just using it for a day makes my face turn red I also thought it was a good match at first The tip is to not use it if you see even the slightest issue - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 26, 2017
I love the glowing skin effect, and this product is the best in terms of that. The application is also smooth. I have combination skin, and after using this, I developed a lot of small bumps all over my face, so I had to stop using it. I used it for quite a long time, and only now realized that my skin was covered in small bumps because of the glowing effect. The longevity is also very poor. If you have oily skin, I would not particularly recommend this product. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 31, 2017
The smooth application and radiant glow it gave my skin were great. I bought it despite the high price because I heard it was so good... but then I suddenly had severe breakouts, and I wondered if it might be because of this product. But after a few days of not using it, the issues have settled down. It seems this product may not be suitable for me. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinNov 22, 2016
I bought this product because it was said to have good ingredients for glowing skin. As I got past my 30s, my sensitive combination skin would start to peel whenever I put on makeup, leaving my complexion looking dull and lackluster. I tried using oils, switching moisturizers, and different BB creams, but nothing really worked. The main upside of this product is that it applies thinly. However, the application is really not great - it just doesn't seem to sink into the skin. First of all, the price is way too high compared to the product. I saw it being sold cheaper through various online deals, but I ended up paying a premium. When I received it, it felt so lightweight that I almost wondered if there was even any product inside. I shook it just to check if it was a dud. A lot of people raved about it, so I tried it right away, but I immediately knew I had made a mistake. It's really not good at all. After using it for a few days, I realized it doesn't absorb into the skin at all. I just left it sitting on my vanity and tried it again when my skin was drier, but it was the same story - no coverage, super sticky, and my hair kept getting stuck to my face. It's probably not worth continuing to use. I'm not sure if it's causing any allergic reactions, but the stickiness and hair-pulling is really unpleasant. Apply it thinly and use a generous amount of concealer.
