  - As someone with fair skin, I actually prefer sunscreens with a white cast as they give me a brightening effect. However, I'd recommend this more for those with oily skin, as people with dry skin like myself might find it a bit drying.

  While I love the brightening effect and cooling sensation I mentioned above, I only gave it 2 stars because it felt drying on my dry skin. When I use sun products with low hydration, it tends to accentuate my dead skin cells, which happened with this one.

  As someone with super sensitive skin who can't use just any sunscreen, I've been loving the Round Lab Birch Juice Sunscreen. So I decided to try their sun cushion from the same line. It doesn't leave residue on my hands, isn't sticky, and is convenient to carry. The cooling effect was really refreshing too. It was perfect for my summer travels!

  Using this sun cushion alone didn't provide as much hydration as the sunscreen from the same line. My skin felt dry quickly, so I found myself reaching for the sunscreen again.

  This sunscreen cushion has a nice cooling effect. It feels moisturizing when applied. It has a slight brightening effect, but it's not too noticeable, so you can reapply it often without your face looking overly white. The price is also quite reasonable compared to other sunscreen cushions.

  Cons

  While it feels hydrating when first applied, after a while it can make your skin feel a bit tight, so those with dry skin should make sure to apply plenty of moisturizer beforehand. If you try to apply it over makeup, it tends to wipe off any concealer you've used for blemish coverage. The puff seems to have a wiping effect on the skin.

  Tip

  For best results when doing a full coverage makeup look, use this sunscreen cushion first, then apply concealer or a coverage cushion on top.
