Texture - I was worried it might have that typical mineral sunscreen stiffness, but it has a watery texture that spreads as smoothly as a hydrating moisturizer, which I love! Absorption - It applies beautifully and absorbs lightly! The low oil content means no pilling before makeup, leaving skin clean and fresh. Despite being a mineral sunscreen, there's hardly any white cast. It sinks naturally into the skin, making it suitable for all skin types! Scent and Sensitivity - With its subtle sunscreen fragrance, even those with sensitive noses can use it. The calming ingredients make it gentle and non-irritating. My skin felt comfortable even after wearing it for long periods. The 40ml size is disappointingly small! I feel like I'll use it up too quickly! For better adherence, try patting it into your skin. Applying multiple thin layers works well too! - Hwahae UserDry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsRednessDec 16, 2023
The best part was snagging it during a 990 won sale - perfect timing when I needed it, and at such a bargain price! Moisturizing? Not at all. When I tried to apply it to my skin, the moment my fingers touched it, I could tell it wasn't hydrating in the slightest. After reading reviews, I learned this is called a mineral sunscreen, and upon researching, I understood why it feels so dry when applying. Still, it's far from moisturizing. While some say mineral sunscreens are good for dry skin, I don't think I want to use one that feels so stiff and leaves a white cast. Even now, after applying my entire skincare routine meticulously, my skin feels like a desert. It's so parched. - jz*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinDec 8, 2023
For a mineral sunscreen, it absorbs well. No eye irritation and it's generally good. It's fine at first, but as time passes, it starts to clog pores and emphasize skin texture. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 21, 2023
I usually dislike products that leave a white cast, but this one is lightweight, absorbs well, and keeps my skin hydrated. The size is a bit small, but it's affordable and great for a daily mask routine, so I'm not complaining. - sh********Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 6, 2023
I just started using it, so I can't say for sure about its effectiveness yet. However, one thing I can tell is that it doesn't cause much irritation. Since I've only just begun, I can't point out any major drawbacks. I'll need to use it for a longer period to form a proper opinion. - hj******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRednessRecommendedJan 8, 2023
I have super sensitive combination dehydrated skin with deep dryness. I've been a sunscreen nomad... • Application and feel: It definitely applies with a hydrating feel. It's smooth. Mineral sunscreens tend to be thick, but this one isn't very stiff. Among all the mineral sunscreens I've tried, this felt the most moisturizing when applying. It's slightly oily, but maybe because it's winter, it doesn't quite reach that rich feeling - it stops just short of that. • Scent: It has that characteristic mineral sunscreen scent. It's not unscented, but it's the typical, mild mineral sunscreen scent you'd expect. • Non-irritating: It's gentle and doesn't cause any irritation. When sunscreens don't agree with me, I usually get eye stinging and itching, but I didn't experience any of that with this one. • Deep dryness: This seems to be a characteristic of mineral sunscreens... With this product, I initially thought 'Oh, it feels hydrating,' but after two or three hours, my skin starts to feel a bit tight underneath. It seems unavoidable with zinc-based mineral sunscreens. • White cast: They say you need to apply sunscreen thickly for it to be effective, so I always try to apply a lot. However, with zinc-based sunscreens, applying too much can lead to a cakey appearance. I don't prefer sunscreens with severe white cast, and while this isn't as bad as some zinc-based mineral sunscreens, it's still a bit disappointing rather than a real drawback. This too seems unavoidable with zinc-based mineral sunscreens. If you pat it in for a while, the skin does absorb it to some extent. * Still, as someone who has tried various sunscreens, this product ranks among the ones I'm generally satisfied with overall. - zl*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedMar 22, 2022
The texture is moisturizing and smooth. It provides a subtle brightening effect without being overwhelming, making your face look more radiant than before application. The packaging is lightweight and simple. When it's on sale, the price drops to around $10, making it quite affordable. The container seems a bit small, and as a result, the amount of product feels limited. I wish there was more product in the package. - eo******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 8, 2021
I was pleasantly surprised by how moisturizing yet non-greasy this product is. I've tried many sunscreens, but usually if they keep my skin hydrated, they end up feeling oily. On the other hand, if they're not greasy, my skin feels tight. This product, however, feels like I'm applying a brightening moisturizer. It slightly evens out my skin tone and gives a subtle glow. These days, I just apply this without worry before putting on my mask. I didn't have any issues with cleansing it off either. There were no blemishes, and I love that the ingredients are so gentle. I bought it at a great price during a Hwahae shopping sale - I hope they have sales frequently! I wish the tube's opening was a bit more precise for better product control. Once, I accidentally squeezed out too much, and it was such a waste! - oh*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 18, 2021
My skin type is combination dehydrated, and I have sensitive skin prone to closed comedones and whiteheads when using pore-clogging ingredients or rich oil-based creams. I have sensitive skin with blemishes, scars, and dark spots, so I switched from chemical to mineral sunscreens. Among the mineral sunscreens I own, this one has the best absorption. I'm currently using Doc* Olga and Shu*phy mineral sunscreens, but Cellmax feels like it adheres thinly to the skin and has the most natural finish with minimal white cast among the three. Unlike the typical dryness or grittiness of mineral sunscreens, it applies smoothly like a hybrid sunscreen. I appreciate the gentle ingredients and the slim, no-frills design. It also works well as a makeup base. I usually wear semi-matte makeup, and it seems to maintain hydration without causing dryness. When worn alone without makeup, it gives a glowy appearance to the skin, though the thin texture means it may not last as long. Given its thin texture, the staying power seems a bit lacking for a mineral sunscreen. Even when layered, it applies thinly without feeling like it's building up, so I use it for short outings rather than extended periods outdoors. The product's nozzle is a standard tube type, which makes it less convenient to apply directly to the face compared to an eye cream-style long nozzle. You need to clean the cap well to keep it tidy, which is a bit of a drawback. While this product isn't particularly sensitive to skincare layering, it's important to adjust the amount and ensure proper absorption of your final moisturizer. Like most mineral sunscreens that can pill, this one adheres best and doesn't clump or pill when applied after your skincare has been fully absorbed. - eh********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJan 26, 2021
I haven't used it extensively yet, but my first impression wasn't bad at all. Even though my skin tends to be sensitive, it didn't feel particularly irritating. Most importantly, since it's a mineral sunscreen, it leaves a slight white cast when applied. So far, I haven't found any major drawbacks. I'll use it more and update my review later. These days, masks are a must, and regular makeup tends to rub off and smudge. However, with just this product alone, you get enough skin-perfecting coverage that it looks natural - like you're wearing makeup without actually wearing it. It's great!
