As I used it, I realized that while effective, this product was very irritating. In my case, it may have affected my skin barrier, as I ended up developing a few large, inflamed pimples. Along with the dryness, there was just too much I was losing, so daily use was really difficult for me.

This is the cleanser I turn to whenever my skin feels like it's flipping inside out. After just one use, I could see a noticeable reduction in my big pimples the next morning. The pharmacist said it's because it contains 2% Salicylic Acid (BHA) that helps clear the dead skin on the surface. But it seems a bit too harsh for daily use.

There are a lot of acne products out there, but I'm satisfied with this one that costs less than $10 and does the job.

Well, it's a product that can't be found in Korea due to the percentage, so...

When my skin was severely irritated, I bought this based on the salicylic acid percentage.
There's the original version on iHerb, but I prefer this one since I don't like the scent of the original.

It's too irritating to use daily
I didn't know and kept using it, and my hands ended up peeling and it was a mess

I don't use this every day, but especially in the summer when my oil production goes crazy and my acne starts flaring up, I use this. On severe days, I use the Sidmool Doctor's Lab Cleanser (which only has salicylic acid according to Korean standards and is gentle) in the morning, and the Neutrogena Acne Wash in the evening.
I adjust the frequency based on how my skin is improving, using it every other day or every three days. It's kind of an emergency measure cleanser for me.

However, it can also have the opposite effect and cause irritation, so on the days I use this, I keep my skincare routine as gentle and soothing as possible for hydration. I either avoid adding salicylic acid to my other skincare or use it in the opposite order. For really severe cases, I'll add the Clearteen (an over-the-counter 2% salicylic acid product) and dab or apply it.

If you absolutely need to control your oil right now and have moved beyond just managing oil and blemishes, and are in a treatment phase, I would recommend this.

The sufficient amount of salicylic acid is really helpful when my acne is severe. 
It seems like there was a sudden surge in orders, as the original product on iHerb has been constantly out of stock. 
This time I bought the Pink Grapefruit (which someone had also canceled their order for, so I barely managed to get it), and while the scent is a bit different, it's still good.

There are many gentle cleansers available in Korea, but as more people develop problematic skin, the options that can be used as an emergency measure seem to be disappearing, to the point where I have to go to a dermatologist just to buy a cleanser.

It cleanses thoroughly, but if you definitely need oil control and acne treatment, this can be a great help.
