As soon as winter ended, I noticed some body acne popping up. So, I grabbed my trusty Neutrogena Acne Body Wash and gave myself a good scrub. Now my skin feels tingly and alive! I like to use a shower puff to lather up all over, then let it sit for a moment... It gives the salicylic acid time to work its magic. The downside is it only contains 2% salicylic acid, so you'll need to order it from iHerb, which can be pricey. Also, it's not meant for daily use... - ss********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 20, 2023
"Visible results!" A blemish-fighting cleanser recommended by my American friend, purchased from CVS. Calms blemishes This is my go-to cleanser when my skin acts up! Even after one use, I noticed a significant reduction in large blemishes the next morning. The pharmacist explained that it contains 2% Salicylic Acid (BHA), which helps exfoliate dead skin cells on the surface. It seems too potent for daily use though. Reasonable price While there are many acne products on the market, I'm satisfied with this one that does its job for under $10. "The intensity is unavoidable" Potentially acne-triggering I realized that using this product daily was far too harsh for my skin. In my case, it may have affected my skin barrier, as I developed a few large, pustular blemishes. With the deep dryness it caused, the drawbacks outweighed the benefits, making daily use quite challenging. I'd recommend using this as a spot treatment only when necessary. Make sure to follow up with a thorough skincare routine to soothe your skin after use! Given its intensity, I limit my use to no more than twice a week. - pe*****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 9, 2023
This is my holy grail cleanser! I've been using it daily for years, and it's a lifesaver for my acne-prone skin. Without this, I'd be in trouble. No other Korean product helped my troubled skin; they only made it worse. This oil-free acne cleanser uniquely rescued me, making my skin as smooth as a peeled egg. My blemishes completely disappeared! It's hard to find domestic shipping options, and international shipping takes a long time. I recommend stocking up when you do make a purchase. - ch******Normal SkinRecommendedJan 24, 2022
I bought this based on the salicylic acid percentage when my skin was really acting up. There's this version and the original on iHerb, but I prefer this one because I'm not a fan of the original's scent. The inconvenience of having to order from iHerb... Well, I guess it can't be helped since the percentage is too high for it to be sold in our country! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 19, 2021
It lathers well and definitely reduced my blemishes. The scent is better than the yellow version. It's too harsh for daily use. I didn't realize this and kept using it, which caused the skin on my hands to peel off completely. It was a disaster! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 7, 2021
The effective amount of salicylic acid in this product is truly helpful when acne is at its worst. Due to a sudden surge in orders, the original version on iHerb has been consistently out of stock. I managed to snag the Pink Grapefruit variant (luckily, someone canceled their order) this time. While the scent is slightly different, it's still great. In Korea, there are many gentle cleansers, but products suitable for emergency use on problematic skin are becoming scarce. It's reached a point where even for a single cleanser, one might need to visit a dermatologist. This cleanser not only cleanses thoroughly but also significantly helps in situations where oil control and acne treatment are necessary. The difficulty lies in having to purchase it from overseas. However, this is understandable due to the salicylic acid content restrictions. I don't use this daily, but rather when there's an oil explosion, especially in summer, and signs of blemishes appear. During severe breakouts, I use Sidmool Dr. Troub Cleanser (which contains salicylic acid at the Korean standard level and is gentle) in the morning, and this Neutrogena Acne cleanser in the evening. I adjust the frequency based on improvement, using it every other day or every third day. For me, it's like an emergency treatment cleanser. However, to avoid potential irritation, I keep my skincare routine gentle and focused on soothing and hydration on days I use this cleanser. I balance my use of salicylic acid - if it's in my cleanser, I avoid it in other skincare steps, or vice versa. In extreme cases, I spot-treat with Cleartine (an over-the-counter 2% salicylic acid product available at pharmacies). I highly recommend this for those who urgently need oil control and are in a treatment phase rather than just managing oily, blemish-prone skin.
