The mascara seems to be a bit longer than expected, and the mascara wand also appears slightly longer. However, it's not overly messy or heavily coated, so I don't really need to wipe off excess product before using it. I just apply it directly. Since it's a super lightweight formula, the mascara seems to create a light and clean lash look. The wand is not as skinny as some, so I was worried it might get product all over my eyelids, but actually, it doesn't deposit too much product, similar to skinnier wands. This allows me to apply it very thinly. It's claimed to be smudge-proof, and while I can't verify the oil-resistance, it is definitely water-resistant.
