1. Perfect as a lip base - It's the closest to my natural lip color, making it ideal as an overlip base. It suits both warm and cool tones, so I can apply any lipstick over it and it looks beautiful. 2. Covers lip discoloration - I have quite noticeable discoloration around the edges of my lips, so I never thought I could wear just a glowy lip product. But this lip base evens out the color like a blank canvas and smooths the texture. It's become my go-to lip base lately. 3. Amazing longevity and fixing power - It's a miracle how the lip base stays put no matter what I eat. 4. Affordable price - Considering how lip products these days often cost over $10-$20, this is the best value for money lip product! I didn't find any downsides. I've been using this every day lately. - eo******Oily SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesRednessRecommendedMar 1, 2025
This product absorbs so smoothly and the color is absolutely gorgeous, making me reach for it again and again I'm not sure if the staying power is particularly impressive... But the pros definitely outweigh the cons - xx*****Oily SkinAcne SkinEnlarged PoresRecommendedFeb 24, 2025
A color I want to keep secret... It seems to tone down my look while still giving a lively yet calm vibe. The staying power and adherence are impressive. Unlike most velvet formulas that feel like they're floating on the lips, the Ink the Velvet tint adheres well, making it incredibly comfortable. Its matte formula doesn't smudge even with vigorous rubbing, creating a beautiful blurred effect. While it's not a water tint and may need one touch-up, it stains well. Even after wiping with a tissue, a pretty tint remains. It does emphasize dead skin cells on days when my lips are particularly dry. Although I don't usually have issues with lip products accentuating flakiness, this one doesn't apply as smoothly in those conditions. The applicator tends to hold a lot of product, making it easy to over-apply. This can result in even muted shades appearing too vibrant. I've noticed some people struggle to achieve the unique colors in the Ink the Velvet line due to this. While the versatility to create both bold and subtle looks is a plus, as someone with muted undertones, I find it challenging to apply casually. The need to dab and smudge can be inconvenient when in a hurry. For best results, start by applying a tiny amount to the inner lips and blend outwards with a tapping motion to create a beautiful overdrawn lip effect. Then, apply an even smaller amount to the center and blend with a lip brush for a perfect application. If you find brushes fussy, using your fingers works well too. This method yields much better results than simply rubbing your lips together. For those who struggle with product control, using a base lip color can help. If you prefer moisturizing tints, apply your usual product first, then blot off where you want to apply Nudie Flow. Mixing with other formulas or colors can alter its beautiful original shade. Personally, I used Pomelo Skin as a base and applied Nudie Flow only to the center of my lips. - se*************Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 18, 2025
The color payoff is absolutely stunning. It's velvety, and when you add it as a finishing touch, your lips look insanely gorgeous. Honestly, there's nothing to complain about. With such great quality at this price point, it's a total steal! - be*******Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 2, 2025
If you're looking for a nude shade that suits autumn warm tones, this is it! The application is incredibly smooth, and the color is just gorgeous... I'm in love! It sets quickly too! The staining power is also impressive - I only applied it briefly for the photo, but it left a lasting tint! What's great is that the stain matches the original color perfectly! The applicator tends to pick up a bit too much product, so you'll need to wipe off the excess before applying. It works wonderfully as a base lip color, and when worn alone, it gives off a sophisticated vibe! - ha*******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJan 12, 2025
I've finally found the perfect tint for me! It's an absolute match made in heaven for my deep undertone. When applied to dry lips, it can slightly accentuate lip lines. Try applying lip balm first, blotting it a bit, then applying the tint. This should help minimize the appearance of lip lines. - ek***************Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJan 5, 2025
It's a perfect match for warm skin tones! I really hope they don't discontinue it. The application is smooth and it feels light on the skin. If you're looking for a matte finish or a glowy look, you might be disappointed as it doesn't provide either. - a1*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRednessRecommendedNov 30, 2024
The color is absolutely gorgeous. While it appears more orange when swatched on the wrist, it transforms into a beautiful, subdued nude with just a hint of pink when applied to the lips. It's so pretty and calming that even though I have cool undertones, I find myself applying it generously! The staining power is surprisingly impressive. It's rare to find a velvet formula with good staying power, but this one really adheres well to the lips. Like most velvet formulas, it can accentuate dead skin cells a bit. However, this isn't a major issue if you maintain good lip care. For best results, dab it on and spread thinly! - fn********Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRecommendedNov 28, 2024
The color is absolutely gorgeous and the nude shade is totally my style! It's a matte type that's perfect for warm skin tones. The pigmentation is intense and vibrant. While the color is truly beautiful, it tends to emphasize dry, flaky lips when applied. The rich pigmentation makes it great as an accent lip color over a base. Since it can highlight dead skin cells, I recommend applying a lip gloss on top for a smoother finish. - co*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedNov 20, 2024
True to its name, I loved the nude color. Personally, I like that it doesn't leave much staining, and it's so tiny and cute! The cap has a ridged design, which makes it difficult to clean if anything gets stuck or hardens in there.
