Application: It applies smoothly, feeling like a mix of face oil and cream, which I'm satisfied with. It has a lightweight balm-like texture. Absorption: Since it's not exactly a lightweight formula, if you don't apply it thinly, it can feel a bit oily on the surface after some time. Moisturizing power is great!! After applying a thin layer twice, you can feel the difference the next morning when cleansing. It's nice not feeling that dry, tight sensation after washing your face. Overall feel is very good. However, for oily skin types, it might feel heavy and could potentially cause blemishes!!! If you have oily skin, I recommend applying a thin layer only at night after exfoliating. Alternatively, just apply it to dry areas. The price and quantity are very satisfying. The ingredients are good too. It feels like you don't need a separate oil, combining the effects of a moisturizing cream, face oil, and soothing spot treatment.
ConsThe downside is that it might feel too heavy for summer use. While it didn't cause blemishes on my sensitive skin, those with oily skin might experience breakouts (my husband has oily skin and got blemishes on his cheeks. He stopped using it, tried again, and got more blemishes lol. It may vary by skin type, but not recommended for oily skin!!!)
TipFor women, it feels too heavy to use in the morning before makeup. Why? Because after applying skincare, base, sunscreen, etc., it feels like it's pilling and makes makeup look like it's floating. In the evening after cleansing and exfoliating, apply a thin layer, let it absorb, then apply once more. The next morning when you cleanse, your skin feels amazing!

My skin barrier is also quite damaged, leading to redness and some acne scars. This cream has a rich, thick texture. I've been using it like a night cream, applying a thin layer all over my face before bed. The next morning, my skin feels so much firmer! When I use it as a spot treatment on acne scars, it helps calm the skin and reduce redness. I love that the fragrance isn't overpowering. Its thick consistency makes it perfect as a regenerating cream for dry skin types. It definitely helps soothe my skin and even out my complexion a bit. A major plus for my super sensitive skin is that it doesn't cause any blemishes - that alone is a huge benefit! I'm planning to use it consistently for a month or two.
ConsI don't have any specific complaints yet. It would be nice if it went on sale though, considering the price!
TipApply a thin layer all over your face at night, like a night cream. Make sure to cleanse thoroughly the next morning. It works great when applied to areas with redness and blemishes.

Application: While it doesn't feel extremely heavy, I have combination skin with an oily T-zone, so I only applied it to areas with blemishes, like a protective barrier. Experience: I read in other reviews that it's good for calming blemishes, so I focused on applying it to troubled areas. I used a very thin layer and avoided oily areas. While I noticed a slight improvement, it didn't completely resolve the issues. The nearly fragrance-free formula and intense hydration would be perfect for those with super dry skin!
ConsI didn't have any particular issues! I just wish my skin was drier to fully appreciate its benefits!

Then I used the Dokdo Toner and boom - blemish explosion, total skin nightmare. But then! I applied this thinly at night, switching to Cure Code's hydrating gel cream during the day. Magic happened - stubborn spots came to a head, popped, and healed! The Cure Code emulsion cream didn't do much, but this ointment? Wow! Absolutely top-notch... I'm a loyal fan now! After the Cure Code treatment, I still had some lingering blemishes. The key was ★absolutely no touching my face★, consistent cleansing morning and night with a low pH foam cleanser, and moisturizing with Kiehl's cream. My skin's almost back to normal now - such a relief! (Skin photos in order: breakout, after two days' use, recent) ⭕ Scent: There's a very slight artificial scent, but it's not bothersome at all. Maybe I'm just not sensitive to fragrances. ⭕ Texture: True to its 'ointment' name, it has that perfect balm consistency. That satisfying thickness! Especially after application, you can see it sets to a slightly matte finish under the lights. I absolutely love it. I really dislike oily textures, so this is a godsend! It's like seeing the light... But don't worry, it's not lacking in hydration at all! (Though it does make your hair stick a bit if it touches your face)
Cons❌ Price: Whoa, the full-size product is quite pricey. That's a bummer... But there's a way to get it cheaper than the official site! I found out some influencers have partnerships to sell it. Check Naver or Instagram for 'Cure Code group buys'. Influencers take turns, so if you time it right, you can get it much cheaper. ❌ Ingredients: While this cleared up most of my blemishes, I did get a few tiny pimples that I didn't have before. Not sure if it's due to pore-clogging ingredients or if I just applied too much and it caused some oiliness. If it's the latter, be careful with how much you use! I made sure to spread it very thinly.
TipTake advantage of group buys on blogs or Instagram!

When you feel like the Double Barrier alone might be a bit drying, applying a thin layer of this on top is truly... no lie, no exaggeration, no joke, it makes the base stick to my skin like glue!
ConsWhy isn't this more famous? How come...? Please don't discontinue it, I'm begging you... I haven't been writing reviews lately because I've been lazy, but I'm leaving this review for this and the Double Barrier because I'm scared they might be discontinued. Of course, it might be hit or miss depending on your skin type, but for me, it's a holy grail...

No oily sensation. - Scent: No distinct fragrance. - Hydration: Seems to act as a barrier, preventing moisture loss from toners and hydrating gels. - Price: Reasonable, as the concentrated formula means you don't need to use much per application. - Ingredients: Excellent! No irritation or blemishes! As someone with very dry skin, I use ultra-rich moisturizers in winter, along with plenty of oils. Compared to other products I've used, this one doesn't have the downsides of high-nutrition creams and oils, such as 'excessive shine' or 'blemishes from over-nourishment'.
ConsHowever, using just a toner and this cream might not provide enough hydration. I recommend adding a hydrating gel or serum/essence (especially for very dry skin).
TipI mainly used this before bed, as it might cause makeup to pill if used in the morning. My routine was: 1) 3-5 layers of hyaluronic acid toner 2) Eye cream 3) Vitamin ampoule or hydrating gel 4) This ointment Interestingly, even without using face oil while using this product, I woke up with skin as smooth as a peeled egg. I'm very satisfied!

I applied it as the final step of my evening skincare routine. Despite its rich cream texture, it spreads thinly and evenly on the face like a glue stick. It's not overly oily, so even those with oily skin might find this thick cream formula agreeable. Personally, I've been dealing with blemishes lately, and whether it's just my imagination or not, it seemed to help dry out and heal the blemish scars quickly. I also experimented by applying the Double Barrier Cream as the last step of my morning skincare routine before makeup. The texture wasn't overly shiny, so my makeup didn't pill at all, and my makeup lasted well throughout the day! After using it for a few days, I think it's great for maintaining healthy skin - it was also good for balancing oil and moisture levels in the skin. The tube packaging is convenient for squeezing out every last bit of the product, which is great for getting your money's worth!
ConsThere wasn't anything particularly disappointing, but if I had to pick something, it would be that the scent is a bit weak. However, this could be a plus for some people who prefer milder fragrances, like me!
TipFor those with very dry skin, it might be good to mix in a drop or two of facial oil. Winter is coming, and with it, extremely dry skin, so it's important to start hydrating now!
