After using this, my blemishes have improved a lot! I definitely plan to repurchase! The packaging is a bit inconvenient. It would be great if they could redesign the container. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 27, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

Application: It applies smoothly, feeling like a mix of face oil and cream, which I'm satisfied with. It has a lightweight balm-like texture. Absorption: Since it's not exactly a lightweight formula, if you don't apply it thinly, it can feel a bit oily on the surface after some time. Moisturizing power is great!! After applying a thin layer twice, you can feel the difference the next morning when cleansing. It's nice not feeling that dry, tight sensation after washing your face. Overall feel is very good. However, for oily skin types, it might feel heavy and could potentially cause blemishes!!! If you have oily skin, I recommend applying a thin layer only at night after exfoliating. Alternatively, just apply it to dry areas. The price and quantity are very satisfying. The ingredients are good too. It feels like you don't need a separate oil, combining the effects of a moisturizing cream, face oil, and soothing spot treatment. The downside is that it might feel too heavy for summer use. While it didn't cause blemishes on my sensitive skin, those with oily skin might experience breakouts (my husband has oily skin and got blemishes on his cheeks. He stopped using it, tried again, and got more blemishes lol. It may vary by skin type, but not recommended for oily skin!!!) For women, it feels too heavy to use in the morning before makeup. Why? Because after applying skincare, base, sunscreen, etc., it feels like it's pilling and makes makeup look like it's floating. In the evening after cleansing and exfoliating, apply a thin layer, let it absorb, then apply once more. The next morning when you cleanse, your skin feels amazing! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedFeb 8, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

As winter approached, my skin became severely dehydrated, so I switched all my skincare products like creams and toners to more moisturizing options. Luckily, I was selected as a Hwahae Tester for this product! First off, this product doesn't have the typical emulsion or cream texture. As mentioned in the product description, it has an ointment-like consistency. I initially applied it like a regular cream without reading the instructions and was surprised when it turned white like an ointment! It's best to apply small amounts only on areas with blemishes or extremely dry parts like the cheeks. While I don't have any blemishes, so I can't speak to its effectiveness for acne, as someone with extremely dry skin, I was very satisfied with its hydrating power. As mentioned earlier, due to its ointment-like texture, it might be a bit challenging to apply in the morning. Also, I'm not a fan of sticky textures, even in emulsions or creams, so I found the stickiness disappointing. It doesn't absorb quickly, which was a bit inconvenient. The scent is reminiscent of ointment, which isn't very pleasant. For those with extremely dry skin like mine, I recommend applying a thick layer at night before bed. If you apply generously, it will still be there in the morning! - vi*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 7, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

But after using this product for about a week, I found my hands became smooth and soft without needing to apply hand cream constantly! Hydration: I have combination dehydrated skin that's particularly troublesome in winter - my cheeks, eye area, and around my mouth would feel parched within 10 seconds after washing. My usual moisturizer wasn't quite enough, but since using this product as the final step in my skincare routine, I haven't felt that dryness at all. It feels like my skin barrier has been strengthened. Texture: Given it's a highly concentrated, deeply moisturizing cream, I was worried the thick, ointment-like texture might be too oily and slow to absorb. However, it spread easily, leaving my skin soft and velvety. Quantity: Thanks to its rich consistency, a little goes a long way. Compared to other creams with thinner textures, this one should last much longer. There wasn't anything particularly disappointing, but if I had to mention one thing, it would be the scent... It doesn't have a refreshing or pleasant fragrance that lifts your mood after application. Instead, it smells rather medicinal, like an ointment. I found that mixing it with a drop of my usual serum improved the absorption and made it even more pleasant to apply! This product seems perfect for those with very dry, sensitive skin who don't want to use overly rich or oily products. It strikes just the right balance! - wj**********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessFeb 6, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

After checking on Hwahae and seeing it had no harmful ingredients, I felt more at ease. To my relief, it didn't cause any blemishes! The rich texture provides excellent hydration, making it an outstanding choice for dry skin. The scent is quite neutral, similar to what you'd typically find in basic skincare products. While the product comes in a conveniently small size, it's quite pricey for the amount you get. After reading other reviews mentioning it contains pore-clogging ingredients, I became worried about applying it to my face and ended up using it on my body instead... Considering the price, the effectiveness isn't particularly impressive, so I wouldn't recommend purchasing it separately. I'd rather invest in a different moisturizer... - co*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 6, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

My damaged skin has improved. When I apply it at night, my skin feels moisturized in the morning when I'm doing my makeup! I love that it doesn't cause any blemishes or breakouts. However, don't expect dramatic results. My nose and cheeks were so dry they were cracking and peeling, but luckily the Intensive Care Ointment arrived just in time (what a relief... ). I applied it every evening from January 25th to February 6th. Since I have oily skin, I only used a basic toner (Scinic Hyaluronic Acid Ampoule Toner) before applying this moisturizer. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I've been experiencing severe deep dryness in my cheeks lately, causing intense redness and cracking. This cream has reduced the redness a bit, but most importantly, it's addressed the deep dryness. Fragrance: It was fine, with a subtle medicinal scent close to being unscented (not recommended for those sensitive to fragrances). I was a bit surprised when I first applied it. Instead of feeling like it was absorbing into my skin, it felt like it was sitting on top, almost like a thick ointment. Texture: Rather than feeling like a moisturizer, it really felt like applying an ointment, leaving an oily sensation. But when I saw how well my makeup went on the next morning, I felt better about it... Plus, a small red pimple under my eye had slightly subsided the next day! Price: I probably wouldn't buy it with my own money... Quantity: There's still a lot left. The amount seems reasonable for the price. Fragrance: Not recommended for those sensitive to scents or those who want to enjoy a pleasant fragrance in the evening. (However, the scent isn't too bothersome. It feels like applying medication.) Good for combination dehydrated skin. Recommended for evening use only! It can cause pilling and oiliness if applied before makeup. Not recommended for those who already use many skincare products like toners, creams, and ampoules. Highly recommended for people like me who are too tired to apply toner and cream after washing their face at night! (I think the effects were maximized because I went from not applying any skincare to using this.) It's important not to apply it too thickly (the texture seems to work best when spread thinly). If you apply it too thickly or rub it in too much without letting it absorb, it will harden on the surface of your skin. - gr******************Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 6, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

My first impression of the product: - Thick texture with a smooth application - Easy to control the amount It truly lives up to its name as an 'ointment'! The consistency was so thick, almost solid, that I wondered if it might be too much. However, when I applied it, it spread incredibly smoothly. It felt like the cream was instantly absorbed into my skin. The firm texture also made it very easy to control the amount used. The benefits I experienced: - Excellent moisturizing power and absorption, leaving skin hydrated inside and out - Gentle ingredients perfect for sensitive skin - Calms flaky, dry skin - Impressive hydration with a soft finish Firstly, the moisturizing power was truly remarkable! My skin had become quite dry due to winter, but when I applied this, it quickly absorbed and I could really feel it hydrating my skin from within. Even after being out in the harsh wind for about 10 hours, my skin didn't feel tight at all and maintained its softness. The finish isn't exactly matte, but it's clean without any residue. It's like applying a powder with both moisture and oil content. While the finish feels like that, the skin underneath remains hydrated. I couldn't resist trying this amazing moisturizer all over my body. I'm a bit embarrassed to admit, but I had some rough skin on my heels, and it all disappeared (it wasn't severe, but I was too shy to include photos). Of course, it didn't completely remove the dead skin cells, but it softened them and made them less noticeable. Now, no one can tell! Most importantly, my biggest concerns are sensitivity, acne, and atopic dermatitis! I have extremely sensitive skin and can't use just any product. While I haven't noticed significant acne improvement yet (I've only been using it for a week), it hasn't made it worse either! I didn't experience any stinging or irritation on my atopic areas. In fact, it even helped reduce redness. However, there are a few downsides: - The scent doesn't match the pure packaging - It's somewhat pricey - I wonder how it would work for very oily skin types Yes, I was surprised twice when using this product! First by its application and moisturizing power, and then by its smell! I expected it to have a pleasant scent, but it smells similar to Vaseline or Oramedi - like an unscented ointment. While it's not my preferred fragrance, I appreciate that they seem to have focused on the ingredients rather than the scent, which increased my trust in the product. It does seem a bit expensive though! For my combination skin, especially in winter, this is definitely a product I would repurchase! It maintains excellent hydration and provides both oil and moisture. However, I think it might not be suitable for those with extremely oily skin. Here's a tip: When my skin feels oily, I've tried using this in combination with a very light, water-based moisturizer, and they work really well together! Those with very oily skin might want to consider this approach. - di********Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 6, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

It spread smoothly without any stickiness or greasiness! While I wasn't sure about its absorption right away, I noticed my skin felt improved when I woke up. The tube packaging made it convenient to apply and easy to control the amount. Plus, using this product alongside my acne ointment really enhanced my skin's condition! Since I have oily skin, although my skin felt better in the morning, it was a bit greasy and uncomfortable where it touched my bedding. The scent is like a typical ointment but with a slightly artificial note. Above all, the price is quite steep... It's better to apply small amounts rather than slathering on too much. If you have oily skin, it's best to avoid applying it to areas that are already rich in natural oils! - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 6, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

I'm constantly applying it to dry areas this winter. The fragrance is a bit disappointing. It's a typical cosmetic scent, but it might be hit or miss depending on personal preference. I really dislike cosmetics with strong fragrances, but I didn't feel this product had an overwhelming scent. ✔ It feels deeply nourishing! Usually, no matter how much moisturizer or hydrating cream I apply, I don't feel it penetrating deeply. However, with this product, I experienced less deep dryness. ✔ Despite its rich texture, it has a matte finish! While the texture isn't particularly light, surprisingly, it doesn't feel sticky or clingy at all. Those who dislike that tacky feeling should be able to use this without any concerns. ✔ The texture was a bit thick for my liking! While it's not difficult to apply, the ointment-like consistency feels a bit heavy. ✔ The packaging is disappointing! The reason I can't use L'Occitane is because of their packaging... and this feels similar. I always end up puncturing these tube packages, so I'll have to be careful. ✔ The finish leaves something to be desired! While it absorbs well without stickiness, the applied areas become really shiny. It's not a perfectly matte finish, so keep that in mind when purchasing. It's much better to apply thin layers multiple times rather than applying a lot at once!
