For me, if a skincare product doesn't cause any discomfort or concern, I consider it a good match - and this one fits the bill perfectly. It doesn't cause any blemishes, effectively works as a brightening moisturizer, and leaves my skin feeling smooth. I've noticed some people mention it's drying, but in my summer skincare routine, I apply this as the final step after toner, serum, emulsion, and sunscreen to achieve a matte finish. Perhaps that's why I've never experienced any pilling, patchiness, or dryness. I really love the smooth, matte finish it provides. I can see how applying it directly with your hands might make it difficult to control the amount, potentially leading to a white cast. I use a Fillimilli sponge to apply both my sunscreen and this product - I highly recommend using a tool like this. I squeeze the product onto the back of my hand, pick it up with the sponge, and dab it onto my cheeks and forehead. Then I spread it gently with the sponge, and for areas where I want more brightness, I use the residual product on the sponge to pat gently. The staying power isn't particularly long-lasting, but there's definitely a noticeable difference on days when I use it versus when I don't. Even when I brush my teeth at lunchtime and get water around my mouth, I've never felt like the area around my mouth looks darker or patchy. (I think using a sponge to apply it improves both the longevity and adherence. If you want, you could also reapply at lunchtime for all-day brightness.) Remember, the purpose of a brightening moisturizer is to provide a natural, lightweight brightening effect, right? I don't think long-lasting coverage is the main goal of these products, nor is it easy to achieve. If you're looking for long-lasting, all-day coverage, you might be better off applying a thin layer of long-wearing foundation followed by powder and setting spray. As a side note, with daily use, there is a slight whitening effect, but it's not dramatically noticeable. The scent is a clean, papery smell, but it's not overpowering - I actually forgot it had a scent until I read other reviews mentioning it.
ConsThere's honestly nothing bad I can say about this product. However, when I recommended it to my sister, she said it caused some skin issues. (She has combination and sensitive skin.) It just goes to show that everyone's skin reacts differently to products. Ultimately, you'll need to try it yourself to see if it works for you.
TipAs mentioned above, I apply this after completing my skincare routine, including sunscreen, using a sponge. I squeeze the product onto the back of my hand, pick it up with the sponge, and dab it onto my cheeks and forehead. Then I spread it gently with the sponge, and for areas where I want more brightness, I use the residual product on the sponge to pat gently. (Using a sponge makes it easier to control the amount, smooths out skin texture, removes dead skin cells, and improves longevity and adherence.) Since I have dry skin, I don't apply powder afterwards, but if you want to increase the staying power, you could certainly add a powder on top.

There's nothing quite like it. This is honestly the best one out there.
ConsThere are no real downsides... except for the slight white cast that's common to all brightening moisturizers.
TipIf you apply too many skincare products before this cream, it might not absorb well. Use it sparingly for the best results.

It absorbed well, leaving my skin feeling soft and matte.
ConsI'm not sure about its longevity, but if you're just using it as a base at this price point, it's not a bad option.

First off, it felt really natural and left my skin feeling soft and powdery.
ConsIt's extremely thick and difficult to apply, so I find myself not using it often. I'd recommend avoiding this purchase if possible.

It definitely evens out the skin tone effectively.
ConsAs someone with dry skin, this product makes my skin even drier. Continuous use leads to a lot of blemishes... so disappointing.

The application is excellent, with a soft, powdery finish that doesn't transfer. Even with my super sensitive skin, it didn't cause any blemishes. I consider it an almost perfect brightening moisturizer, which is why I came back to repurchase and decided to write this review.
ConsAfter about 5-6 hours, it tends to darken and become quite oily..
TipFor a natural contouring effect, apply it to the center of your face rather than the outer edges! It's great for matching your neck tone when you're wearing makeup on your face.

The product absorbs well and doesn't leave an unnatural white cast or pill. It evens skin tone very naturally. After application, the skin feels powdery soft, so those with oily skin are likely to be satisfied.
ConsIt's unfortunate that the ingredients include some that may clog pores. Those with acne-prone skin should pay extra attention to cleansing after using this product. As it's a matte finish product, people with dry skin might find it a bit drying.
TipIf you moisturize well in your skincare routine and apply a small amount of this product, you can use it without experiencing dryness or settling into fine lines.

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsThis is a review from The Hwahae Testers. I have sensitive, very dry skin with a shade between 13 and 21. What I liked most was the moderately matte finish and the fact that even though I applied it on Lunar New Year's Day and went to bed, I didn't have any blemishes the next morning. Despite my very dry skin, I appreciated the matte finish because I tend to get eczema on my cheeks and break out from oils. I usually slather on horse oil cream instead of regular oils, and this product layered well over it without pilling, giving a nice Inner Glow. Products with a moisturizing finish tend to pill on me. Also, since my current skin condition causes foundation or cushions to separate 100%, I couldn't go without makeup on Lunar New Year. So I applied this brightening moisturizer all over and spot-concealed. While it didn't have a dramatic effect like foundation, it was better than wearing nothing. Given my current skin condition, I was grateful for this level of coverage.
ConsDue to its texture, I applied it with my hands, which made it difficult to apply evenly. In areas where I applied a bit more, it highlighted wrinkles with a white cast. It's similar to the white cast from applying too much sunscreen. While the white cast fades over time, the emphasized wrinkles remain visible. Also, since my natural complexion is already fair, the brightening effect was just so-so. Conversely, when I applied it to a man's darker skin tone, it looked a bit ashy. While there aren't specific shades, this product seems to work with your natural skin tone.

You can feel more hydration than oiliness. Application: It's great because there's no pilling or lifting even if you apply a lot or layer it multiple times. It doesn't feel overly oily and leaves a matte finish! Seems perfect for those with oily skin! Brightening: True to its name 'Rebirth Cream', it's wonderful how you can feel your face brightening the moment you apply it. I wonder if we'll see whitening effects with consistent use? Blemishes: I have combination dehydrated skin prone to closed comedones, so I usually avoid wearing makeup due to skin stress. Still, I can't go out bare-faced, so I prefer products that give a natural skin look without irritation. This Rebirth Cream is exactly what I've been looking for! I used it daily for two weeks after receiving it, and I had no blemishes during that time! 100% would repurchase It gives a 'no-makeup makeup' look, covers pores to some extent, and doesn't cause darkening! While it may not be suitable for solo use if you want full coverage of pores and blemishes, it could work well as a base!
ConsI was satisfied with everything about this product, no complaints! If I had to pick one thing, it's a shame it doesn't have sun protection. I guess we'll have to apply sunscreen separately...!?
TipAfter applying the Rebirth Cream, use concealer to cover blemishes for a natural skin look. It works great as a base, making your makeup apply smoothly!

It's easy to apply without getting too much on your hands. Ingredients: Overall, the ingredients are gentle. Rice ferment extract enhances the brightening effect, and the particles are made smaller for better absorption. No Skin Tightness: Unlike some brightening moisturizers that can be drying or clumpy, this one leaves my skin feeling fresh and velvety. There's no dry finish, so my skin doesn't crack when I move my face. Brightening Effect: It naturally brightens your complexion by one shade! Instead of a pale, ghostly white, it gives a clean and clear tone-up effect that I'm really happy with. It's natural enough that even students could comfortably wear it. Scent: It's nearly fragrance-free. There is a fragrance ingredient, but it's so subtle that it won't bother anyone. Application: It applies even more smoothly than an emulsion. You know how thicker creams can clump and be hard to spread? This one glides on silkily, absorbs well, and leaves my skin feeling comfortable.
ConsThere's honestly nothing to complain about with this satisfying product. While it applies smoothly and has a velvety finish, I'd recommend using it over a solid skincare routine for the best results.
