Great value for a brightening moisturizer. That's about all there is to say... Just be sure to control how much you use. Personally, I was disappointed to see it settling into my pores so much. On the price front, though, it's excellent. - ji************Combination SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDead Skin CellsApr 19, 2025
It absorbs smoothly without feeling heavy, so the application was really pleasant. If you have a lot of dead skin cells, it can pill and the staying power was quite poor. In summer, when you sweat, it wipes off and runs like white streaks... It was disappointing as it didn't live up to my expectations. - qx********Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessRednessRecommendedJan 25, 2025
Recommended for students who need to brighten their complexion! Great for achieving a radiant look. It's a bit rich, so those with extremely oily skin might find it challenging to use. It's perfect for evening out your skin tone before applying makeup. - eh********Combination SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesDead Skin CellsRecommendedJan 14, 2025
It applies smoothly with a light, gentle feel. You get a natural brightening effect, like your complexion has been lifted a shade. However, as someone with combination skin, I noticed it slightly caked on my dry U-zone. The staying power seems shorter than expected, especially considering it's called 'long-lasting'. - an**********Oily SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesRecommendedNov 10, 2024
The fragrance is lovely. It's great value for money. The way it absorbs is fantastic too! There's nothing particularly bad about it. It brightens the complexion well. No downsides at all! - mf********Oily SkinAcne SkinDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRecommendedSep 15, 2024
I love that it's affordable and really gives that brightening effect you're looking for While it does a good job evening out skin tone, the effect doesn't last long and my complexion darkens again pretty quickly - ks********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinDark CirclesInner DrynessRecommendedAug 18, 2024
I have dry, sensitive skin and I'm on my second bottle of this product. For me, if a skincare product doesn't cause any discomfort or concern, I consider it a good match - and this one fits the bill perfectly. It doesn't cause any blemishes, effectively works as a brightening moisturizer, and leaves my skin feeling smooth. I've noticed some people mention it's drying, but in my summer skincare routine, I apply this as the final step after toner, serum, emulsion, and sunscreen to achieve a matte finish. Perhaps that's why I've never experienced any pilling, patchiness, or dryness. I really love the smooth, matte finish it provides. I can see how applying it directly with your hands might make it difficult to control the amount, potentially leading to a white cast. I use a Fillimilli sponge to apply both my sunscreen and this product - I highly recommend using a tool like this. I squeeze the product onto the back of my hand, pick it up with the sponge, and dab it onto my cheeks and forehead. Then I spread it gently with the sponge, and for areas where I want more brightness, I use the residual product on the sponge to pat gently. The staying power isn't particularly long-lasting, but there's definitely a noticeable difference on days when I use it versus when I don't. Even when I brush my teeth at lunchtime and get water around my mouth, I've never felt like the area around my mouth looks darker or patchy. (I think using a sponge to apply it improves both the longevity and adherence. If you want, you could also reapply at lunchtime for all-day brightness.) Remember, the purpose of a brightening moisturizer is to provide a natural, lightweight brightening effect, right? I don't think long-lasting coverage is the main goal of these products, nor is it easy to achieve. If you're looking for long-lasting, all-day coverage, you might be better off applying a thin layer of long-wearing foundation followed by powder and setting spray. As a side note, with daily use, there is a slight whitening effect, but it's not dramatically noticeable. The scent is a clean, papery smell, but it's not overpowering - I actually forgot it had a scent until I read other reviews mentioning it. There's honestly nothing bad I can say about this product. However, when I recommended it to my sister, she said it caused some skin issues. (She has combination and sensitive skin.) It just goes to show that everyone's skin reacts differently to products. Ultimately, you'll need to try it yourself to see if it works for you. As mentioned above, I apply this after completing my skincare routine, including sunscreen, using a sponge. I squeeze the product onto the back of my hand, pick it up with the sponge, and dab it onto my cheeks and forehead. Then I spread it gently with the sponge, and for areas where I want more brightness, I use the residual product on the sponge to pat gently. (Using a sponge makes it easier to control the amount, smooths out skin texture, removes dead skin cells, and improves longevity and adherence.) Since I have dry skin, I don't apply powder afterwards, but if you want to increase the staying power, you could certainly add a powder on top. - so*******Combination SkinRecommendedAug 17, 2024
It doesn't just make you pale, but seems to brighten your skin to match your natural complexion. It's great. I've seen many comments about poor staying power, but I disagree. I think it's quite good. Maybe it's because I don't touch my face much, but yes, the staying power is fine. It evens skin tone very naturally, so unless I mention it, people just think I have naturally fair skin. I really like it. Nothing particularly... The coverage is a bit weak? But I didn't buy it expecting high coverage, so I'm still satisfied with it. - al********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRecommendedAug 10, 2024
Oh! I've been using this for two years now! When I don't feel like putting on makeup but don't want to go out bare-faced, this is perfect! It applies smoothly and absorbs well. It's not too sticky, but since I have oily skin, I follow up with some oil-control powder. Really great product! Drawbacks: I honestly can't think of any drawbacks for this product yet! If you find it a bit rich, you can always dust some oil-control powder or regular setting powder over it. Works like a charm! - dd*******Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsAug 8, 2024
While I'm not sure about its brightening effects, this product does seem to even out the skin tone a bit. The brightening effect is so subtle that even my friends can't notice it. When applied, it leaves a greasy or oily feeling, which is challenging for someone like me who doesn't use powder afterward.
