For a mineral sunscreen, it applies exceptionally well. It feels very comfortable on the skin. As expected with mineral sunscreens, there's a slight feeling of tightness on the skin. - th******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRednessJun 24, 2025
The ingredients aren't bad, and since it was developed by Director Pi, I had high expectations. I've gone through about 4 tubes. It was a good, reliable sunscreen to use. As my skin has become more sensitive, especially during the summer months like now, when I apply this sunscreen, it causes redness and itching on my skin. They say you should apply sunscreen thickly, so I usually apply it in two layers. It definitely feels rich, and I tend to get blemishes the next day. But with this sunscreen, I noticed more breakouts. I used to be able to use it without issues, but for sensitive summer skin, it's probably best to avoid it. It's important to note that skin reactions can vary from person to person. What works well for some may not suit others, especially those with super sensitive skin or combination dehydrated skin. If you experience any burning sensation or tingling, it's advisable to discontinue use and consult with a dermatologist. Remember, finding the right sunscreen that provides adequate protection without irritation is key to maintaining a healthy complexion and even skin tone. - yy******RecommendedJun 23, 2025
I'm using it well and always make sure to apply it when the sun is strong! For my dry skin, it feels a bit on the drier side. However, it works fine if I apply it after a thorough skincare routine. Remember to layer your skincare products for optimal hydration and protection! - 10*****Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityJun 22, 2025
I bought this product because it was created by Director Pi, which gave me a sense of trust. It seemed less irritating compared to organic sunscreens. The thick texture wasn't very pleasant to use, and it was inconvenient to carry around and reapply during summer. Personally, I found it difficult to cleanse off. I even applied it all over my body, but even after using cleansing oil, it remained in the creases of my skin. However, I think this might be okay if you have a more powerful cleansing product. The product's texture is on the thicker side, which might not suit everyone's preferences, especially in warmer weather. While it offers good protection, its removal process can be challenging, particularly in areas with fine lines or wrinkles. For those with sensitive skin or those looking for a less irritating alternative to organic sunscreens, this could be a good option. Just be prepared to put in extra effort during the cleansing step of your skincare routine. - li********Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 19, 2025
I'm not a fan of sticky products, but this one dries to a nice matte finish without leaving a heavy white cast. I think I'll get a lot of use out of it. I can't really think of any downsides... Though to be fair, my skin isn't very sensitive, so I might not notice subtle issues. Applying multiple thin layers works better than slathering on a thick layer all at once. - wo*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinJun 17, 2025
The gentle ingredients are a plus. Even with sensitive skin, I didn't experience any blemishes from the formula. However, it's excessively drying. Despite the mild ingredients, the dryness actually irritates my skin and makes it more sensitive. Initially, I chalked up the stiffness to typical mineral sunscreen texture. But as time passed, my face felt extremely parched and tight, as if I hadn't applied anything after washing. It was really uncomfortable. I often watch and trust Director Pi's videos for recommendations, but even with a solid skincare routine, those with dry skin will feel their face cracking. I question the basis for this recommendation. I won't be buying her picks anymore - it's such a waste of money. I wondered if my skin was just extremely dry, so I tried using masks and various skincare methods, but nothing helped. When I switched to a different mineral sunscreen, using the same skincare routine and application time, I didn't experience any dryness at all. I strongly advise against this product. It also leaves a white cast, tends to pill, and can create a patchy appearance. The review expresses disappointment with a sunscreen product, likely a mineral-based one, recommended by a beauty influencer named Director Pi. The reviewer has sensitive, very dry skin and found the product to be extremely drying despite trying various methods to make it work. They contrast their experience with this product to another mineral sunscreen that didn't cause the same issues. The review serves as a caution to others with dry skin who might be considering this product based on the influencer's recommendation. - sa********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 15, 2025
The texture was just perfect, which I really appreciated. And it was definitely super gentle on my skin! My makeup really didn't adhere well over this. It's like it left a white cast on my skin. - 99******Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesRednessRecommendedJun 13, 2025
My forehead and chin are prone to tiny bumps, and due to a botched facial massage, I've got some nasty blemishes on my cheeks. I've been taking isotretinoin and occasionally visiting the dermatologist for extractions. They always insist I use a mineral sunscreen. After searching high and low, I decided to try this Etude product. The best part? It's budget-friendly and comes in a generous size. Most importantly, it's perfect for someone like me who's sensitive to fragrances. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with it. I typically break out when I use sunscreen, but with this one, I experience fewer blemishes. That alone makes me happy. However, when applied on its own, it can leave my skin looking quite oily. My solution is to layer it with a brightening moisturizer and then lightly dust some powder on top. - gu*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 10, 2025
I love that there's no white cast. It gives a subtle brightening effect without being too noticeable. The absorption isn't the best, which is probably due to it being a mineral sunscreen. It evens out the complexion slightly while remaining natural-looking. The texture might take some getting used to, but that's typical for mineral-based formulas. Despite the application not being as smooth as some chemical sunscreens, it still offers great protection without leaving a visible residue. - wg*****Dehydrated SkinInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedMay 31, 2025
This is my go-to sunscreen because it's gentle and applies so smoothly! There's a slight white cast, but it naturally absorbs into the skin, so it's not a big deal.
