It's top-notch when it comes to concealing imperfections.
ConsThe downside is that it feels a bit thick when applied. Also, I'm not a fan of the puff applicator.

When applied thinly, it gave a beautiful skin finish. However, it doesn't naturally apply in a thin layer, so you need to control the amount. If you apply too much, it can look overly shiny. There are many cushions on the market that apply more thinly and give a prettier skin finish, so if you're expecting the best skin appearance rather than a soothing effect, you might be disappointed. It didn't break down throughout the day, and the color was universally flattering.
ConsThe 'soothing cushion' concept didn't really resonate with me. Since I typically think of soothing as part of skincare, I feel they could have emphasized the ingredients rather than performance if they wanted to highlight benefits beyond its cosmetic function. The puff was very uncomfortable to use. It applied the product in the exact shape it was pressed, giving an under-blended look. The formula doesn't set quickly, which I didn't see as a major flaw at first. But as I used it more and the amount decreased, less product would adhere to the puff at once. Yet it still didn't blend well, so I'd have to reapply... leading to over-application. Overall, I found it inconvenient to use.

The adherence to the skin is quite good. I appreciate that it's a vegan product, so I feel confident using it on my skin.
ConsThe color is basic and neutral, but it does tend to break down a bit over time. One disappointing aspect is that even when the puff is clean, the mirror gets dirty faster than with other compacts, becoming hazy.
TipSince it adheres well to the skin, I don't think you'll need any special tips for application.

Can't believe Clio came out with a cushion with such great ingredients! It's the only cushion from Clio that really works for me. Despite having such good ingredients, it also has great coverage. It covers most blemishes with one overall application, and for extra coverage, I dab a bit more on with a cotton swab, then bounce the puff in place.
ConsLooking at it now, I realize the shade is a bit dark. The puff gets dirty too quickly - now I see why they sell them separately!
TipAs long as you choose the right shade, it's perfect for everyday use without much fuss.

It has a nice cooling effect, which is great to use in hot weather. The color is a bit bright, but it's moisturizing and gives a bit of a glow.
ConsThe puff was a bit disappointing. As someone who prefers soft, squishy puffs, I found this one too firm for my liking.

I had heard good things about Clio cushions before, but as someone with extremely dry skin, I found their other cushions too drying. However, this one pleasantly surprised me - it's nicely hydrating while still giving a soft, matte finish, which I absolutely love. 2. It creates a clean and beautiful skin appearance. I appreciate that even when layered, it doesn't look thick or cakey.
Cons1. Unfortunately, the puff is quite disappointing. It's white, which isn't ideal, and the part where you hold it is slippery, making application uncomfortable.
TipWhen it starts to break down, gently pressing with a blotting paper creates a pretty, lived-in look.

(Combination dehydrated in winter) My skin has lots of pores and excess sebum. While I didn't expect much in terms of soothing effects from this so-called 'calming cushion', I'm happy to report it didn't cause any blemishes! The product itself was lighter than I expected, making it convenient to carry around. I also appreciated the minimal packaging. As for coverage, true to its 'Kill Cover' name, even a small amount effectively conceals most freckles! I'd recommend this more for those with normal to dry skin rather than extremely oily skin like mine!
ConsThe puff is quite dense (be careful not to apply too much pressure or it'll leave marks). However, since the cushion formula isn't matte, it's not an ideal combination. Initially, it applies with a nice dewy finish that's not too matte. But for someone with extremely oily skin like me, it soon mixes with the oil my skin produces, making me want to wash my face sooner rather than later.

There's nothing better for sensitive, yellow-toned skin. Recommended for those with sensitive skin who haven't found their holy grail among gentle cushions! - (Ratings are out of five stars) 🌱 Coverage ⭐️⭐️ Doesn't cover spots, blemishes, or acne scars. Can cover redness. Feels like a CC cushion that brightens the complexion. 🌱 Lasting Power ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The forehead, which isn't covered by a mask, stayed intact for 5 hours without touch-ups. For the wear test, I didn't wear a mask at home, and other areas also lasted about 5 hours. Even when it fades, it doesn't turn ashy or break down unattractively. 🌱 Adherence ⭐️⭐️ If you're in a rush and quickly pat on the cushion after minimal skincare, it transfers a lot to your mask. Of course, it transfers less if you take time with your skincare and cushion application, but who has time for that in our busy modern lives? If adherence is your top priority, I'd recommend a different cushion. 🌱 Pore-clogging ⭐️⭐️⭐️ If applied thinly, it doesn't emphasize pores, but if you apply it thickly or layer it for touch-ups, the pores immediately make their presence known. Still, it's less pore-clogging than when I used the brand's Kill Cover Ampoule. 🌱 Oiliness X Despite having many oils in the ingredients, it doesn't feel oily at all. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I actually felt it was slightly drying, and it didn't get oily over time. 🌱 Blemishes x I always got blemishes when using cushions with cyclopentasiloxane or ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate. This product contains stearic acid, which can clog pores, but I didn't get even a single small bump after using it for a week. 🌱 Texture When you first apply the cushion, it feels cool and moisturizing. However, it's not a product that gives a super dewy finish, so it's more like a semi-dewy feel? Somewhere between semi-matte and dewy.
Cons1. The puff holder is too flimsy When I tap the puff on the inside of the lid to control the amount, it flaps around a lot. I'm using it carefully, worried it might tear off soon. 2. The included puff is disappointing I had high hopes because of its teardrop shape, but it absorbs too much product. If you want to use it for a long time, you might need to replace it with a different one.

One layer gives a natural look, just evening out the skin texture. Two layers create a more luminous effect. If you're a shade 21 and want something close to your complexion and natural-looking -> go for shade 3. If you want a brightening effect -> choose a lighter shade. ○ Coverage The coverage is on the lighter side for Clio. It's about medium coverage, unlike some other Clio cushions I've tried before that were quite thick and covered well. One layer won't hide freckles, you'll need about two layers to somewhat conceal them. Large scars will only appear slightly faded. You'll need to use a separate concealer for areas you want more coverage. It's similar to the Espoir Taping Cover Moisture Cushion. ○ Longevity Impressive. Even with all-day mask wear, it only gets slightly dewy while maintaining a natural look. ○ Transfer Minimal transfer to masks even without setting powder. Except for high-contact areas like the nose and cheekbones, there's hardly any transfer. ○ Skin Finish The skin finish looks gorgeous from afar. It gives a slight dewy glow with a semi-matte finish, perfect for achieving that 'egg-shell' smooth skin look. It looks pretty right after application, but personally, I find it even more beautiful after some time when a bit of natural oils come through. ○ Hydration When I first applied it to my wrist, it felt incredibly cool and hydrating. It feels moisturizing on the face too, but perhaps due to the puff, the final finish isn't super dewy but slightly powdery. ○ Thickness Goes on very thin and feels lightweight. Typical of modern cushions. ○ Other I personally love the case design. The puff has a smooth, almost coated top part. The cushion part is soft and fluffy. The fragrance is refreshingly cool!
ConsThe hard top part of the puff can leave marks if you're not careful when applying. When trying to cover areas like the sides of the nose or dark spots, you might end up with visible puff marks. After some time, there's slight creasing around the nose. Some breakdown around the sides of the nose. The case doesn't close properly? It feels like it doesn't snap shut completely, leaving an ambiguous closure.

I have dry, sensitive skin and used this product for 7 days (I'm summarizing based on daily notes. I stopped using it after 7 days because it didn't suit my skin). For reference, cushions that didn't work for me before include the Clio Kill Cover Glow Cushion and the Botanic Hill Boh Probio Derma Repair Ampoule Cushion. Appearance: The case feels light. Even though it's the same volume as other brands, it gives off a 'lightweight' impression. The puff protection cap is made of slightly translucent gray plastic, which sets it apart from others. You can see the contents on the other side through it. Adhesion is quite excellent: 4.5-5 points My skincare routine before applying: Basic cleansing > It's Skin Jelly Pad > It's Skin Licorice Vital Essence (small amount) > COSRX Full Fit Propolis Light Cream > Clio Cushion As someone with dry and sensitive skin, when using a cushion, I prioritize: Coverage << Longevity <= Adhesion This cushion adheres to the skin without any patchiness from the first application (it doesn't go on powdery). While it's definitely less adhesive than the Too Cool for School Dodo's Going Satin Cushion, it's similar in terms of how well it sticks to the skin. Using a makeup base or primer simultaneously might improve it further. However, I was surprised to find it wore off more easily than expected when I was in a heated area outdoors.
ConsPuff: The outer surface of the puff (where your fingers touch) is made of a very smooth material. This seems to reduce the pressure we usually feel when pressing the puff against our cheeks. However, this creates a drawback - the smooth texture causes your fingers to slip, sometimes accidentally touching the product already applied to your cheeks, or forcing you to apply more pressure to prevent slipping, which in turn puts more stress on the puff. Scent: Upon first opening, there was a distinct odor, though less intense than the Clio Kill Cover Glow Cushion (this may vary from person to person). It's not strong enough to linger on your face after application. You can't smell it once it's on your skin. Low coverage (without makeup base or primer): Day 1: 3-4 points / Day 2: 3 points / Day 3: 2-3 points Compared to pre-COVID cushions from 2020, the coverage isn't notably different. It seems designed with COVID and mask-wearing in mind. It doesn't cover subtle redness or blemishes, and even after just 5-10 minutes of use, it fails to conceal redness. It appears this is intentional for the product. While it does show that you're wearing makeup, it only enhances skin texture to look cleaner, giving a natural makeup look. Your skin appears smoother. Under fluorescent lighting, dark circles are clearly visible. You might need to use a separate concealer. Itchiness: Slight itchiness appeared from day one and continued until the last day. On day 1, it was slightly stinging and mildly itchy. From day 2, I developed hives and experienced constant itching for 5-10 minutes or more. From day 3, the hives reduced, but the itching persisted until the end. Poor longevity: Despite good adhesion, it has poor staying power. Even while working from home without sweating or using a heater: After 2 hours: Darkening occurs, skin color matches neck color After 4 hours: Slight breakdown, especially in T-zone as oil production increases. It does break down prettily though (may vary) After reapplication and 6 hours: Creasing under eyes, but face adhesion remains Nose creasing: Creasing around the nose is quite noticeable. Even after just 2-4 hours, the product settles into nose creases (while working from home, no heater). Acne breakout: Day 1: Small whiteheads on cheeks Day 2: Hives appeared Day 3: 3 more whiteheads After that: Skin condition continued to worsen Redness and deteriorating skin condition: This was the most quickly noticeable issue during testing. Facial redness gradually worsened, requiring daily skin soothing. Both cheeks became as red as if I had a fever, necessitating constant use of It's Skin Jelly Pads, aloe, and dermatological soothing creams. I used up a new pack of jelly pads in just 7 days. My skin felt fatigued quickly and seemed irritated. Deep dryness: Despite thorough skincare, I felt deep dryness. Those with extremely dry skin should consider this. Darkening: Darkening is quite severe. Visible after 2 hours, requiring reapplication after 4 hours.
TipThose who previously found Clio cushions unsuitable might want to reconsider this one. If you experience even slight itching, it's best to discontinue use immediately. For me, it was only mildly noticeable on day 1, but by days 2 and 3, my skin felt exhausted even after just 3 hours of wear. The product itself seems excellent. While the coverage isn't great, its good adhesion and lightweight feel could make it a holy grail or top-tier product for those it suits. 7-day overall review: Started off great, but for my sensitive/dry skin, it declined day by day. The product quality is good and could work really well for the right person. (If it had suited my skin and caused no irritation, I might have given it 4 stars) It has good adhesion and seems appropriately light for the COVID era. Good for those seeking a natural makeup look, but coverage is low - concealer and powder are a must. My skin reacted badly and I'm still treating it. I wanted to use it for 2 weeks before reviewing, but had to stop due to skin issues.
